In the top left of the screen you will see a panel with the gobo types and the green one farthest left has a 0/1. Drag that gobo to the breeding cage.

Part from that we never have enough milk.
Is it somehow possible to select the slaves in the stocks? I only manage to select the f... room behind it!
The goblins fuck them to death...

I never had problems with getting enough milk. Unless, of course, you're actually trying to feed all your little goblins with milk - I don't recommend it, because un-evolved goblins are the most useful (to you, not to the goblin lord).

Yes, I never had problems selecting slaves in stocks, unless they are dead (in early versions of the game, their hitbox was at about the same place as for the living slaves, not where I see their bodies).
Also, I recommend asking the goblin lord for some lotion. This reduces damage to almost 0.

There is something flawed with the game mechanics then I suppose as from what I gather the goblins have a higher chance to survive the attacks on human villages if they're stronger.
In another similar game you could breed goblins by traits such as strength, health, defence etc.
That game on the other hand is having other issues.

As goblins come in litters and each goblin suck a woman dry part from a few drops of milk it doesn't add up.

I remember that, I had corpses laying around everywhere...
OK, I however have problems. I will try to move the buildings farther form each other.

Now that I think of it, my pillory rooms are always in the north end of the map.

Since in this game you do not get any kind of control over raids, there is no point to actually improving goblin army. You only need to deliver as much as the goblin lord asks for.
Also, basic goblins are the currency used for getting food (through requests), setting up automation, destroying rocks and pretty much everything that isn't sacrifice to the goblin gods.

As goblins come in litters and each goblin suck a woman dry part from a few drops of milk it doesn't add up.
The thing is, you want to only waste milk (and more importantly, food) on the cohort of goblins that may evolve the next stage of goblins. So if you have hobgoblins, you only let hobgoblin children have milk. If some shaman children end up being ordinary goblins - that is not your problem.

And apparently, you do want to fatten up slaves. They give more food when butchered this way.

I see, so there is nothing that could interfere behind it. :)

OK, I did think it mattered now since the goblins are actually dying when sending them off to raids.

I haven't gotten to the part of sacrifice yet, it's a new feature since I played this game last.
But for now I have issues keeping up with demand of goblins especially when trying to get food as the restock of new slaves isn't fast enough. I know there is an action to get more slaves, but the trade off is not getting more food which will lead to starvation...

Last time I played this game, which was quite a while ago I managed to breed all kind of races but now when doing the same I don't get anything than shamans and regular goblins or goblinettes.
If you leave the goblins in the growing room without nursing them they still consume food and any milk you have stored yes?

I noticed this too.
However I would like the game to have an building/room which increase the stock limit. 200 is way to low.

Thanks for your insight!

Pretty early in game, you can build extra storage room to increase your food/milk.
Let's say you place 1 room on top of the goblin HQ, then build the next on top of it (north). Relocate the first room and place it somewhere next to the 2 storage room. By doing so, you can separte buildings from the Center of your cave and also place rooms outside of your sight, since they're just for storing stuff. Once you have one room, just expand with other rooms as you like. In my case, I have something like 20000 ressources and also expand the limit of value you could easily edit in your save, which leads to basically infinite ressources as long as you produce milk and send humans to the slaughter.
Btw, there is also a "family friendly"-button in your menue. Just in case you didn't want to see the core. And also, there are other Goblin hybrids later on (Champion, I think) which got the trait to slaughter more efficient after you feed them at child state. But this is pretty random.

The main way to get more food in this game seems to be to breed slaves for meat. I do not appreciate that. But it does give the game an identity that separates it from other Monster Black Market clones.

Babies will not drink milk on their own. They need a woman to feed them. If she doesn't have milk in her breasts, she'll take it from the storage.
Babies who do not have a woman to feed them will not evolve, and have a chance to devolve.
Some high elves have a trait that makes them better at feeding babies, giving them higher evolution chance.

However I would like the game to have an building/room which increase the stock limit. 200 is way to low.
You do have it. It should be available as soon as you finish the tutorial.

Thanks!

The storage rooms was also something which wasn't present when I played this game last time.
I'm happy they're there.

There are some improvements since a couple of updates. ;)
Gladly, you're able to re-locate all rooms now.
Evolving works best with highelves, because they have a evolving trait. They should be the first one to search for after the humans. Afaik, they don't need to give birth to the offspring, but feed them afterwards in the growing room. Where all the goblin variants get their evolution. Once you know that, it's pretty fast to have all variants in no time. Enjoy!

Edit: you can also make basically all women as favourite, except the ones who are "just" food.
The game will warn you when your (favourite) slave is going to die, so you can quick react.

Thanks! I guess I would've found out sooner or later, I unlocked the beast men in hope they would have some hidden "large udder" trait as I'm currently trying to selective breed hu cows. My best hu cow has 340 milk capacity but I'm yet to get any further. The traits doesn't seem to be inherited to offspring. Beast men trait seem to be +20 HP compared to human +15

This is awesome! I tend to forget my females at the stock so some of them die there while I'm busy turning off food and milk on several batches of goblins. I care about all of them and only use men as food. Prior to finding out a completely depraved woman doesn't take damage in the stocks I turned infertile and infected woman into food. But not any longer.

[Edit]
Not knowing which room connects to the other I manage to place ONE room which could be linked when I created my dungeon.
As I can't afford to move the rooms in the supposed correct linkage these rooms have to be planned beforehand.
My amount of micro management at this stage is unbearable. I have 30 or so females and now I'm cursed with getting no goblinettes so I can restock my ever growing requirement for goblins as I need to send 10 of them to die collecting food each day, meanwhile I breed fat males to send to the slaughter room.

Another problem being that I'm not 100% sure of which room connects to the other. Does anyone have a image or similar describing this?
