Do you honestly believe that developers will reconsider a game that they have thought out, just because some people might not like it? I think they have probably already taken that into consideration. I am positive that DrPinkCake was well aware of the shitstorm he was about to unleash. He did it anyway, and despite your lack of support, he is thriving.

So, what is HIS lesson to be learned?

Developers frequently change stories because of fan comments. There are too many to enumerate. I'll generally kick in at least a buck a month to any game that has NTR content and a change is made to make the content avoidable.

Sorry, but I don't consider a copycat-developer a serious developer. Whether the developer is copying a good game or dross, it's still a copy. I don't expect complete uniqueness in a porn game, but a developer's own thoughts along the way would be nice.

As far as I'm concerned, you can provide a service to us all by warning developers away from copying someone's else's ideas, including this developer's. It just wouldn't be as good. I'm sure you would be appalled by a poor copy of Haley's Story!

But's let's be serious. That is not what you are doing here. Just how many potential developers are playing this game and reading this thread, just thinking, "Wow, I could do this same thing and make a mint!"?

How many new developers introduce their new game by saying I've been playing these games for a long time and I decided to start my own? It would be ridiculous to believe that they are not influenced by the games they have played. Obviously some games will be more influential than others and financially successful games would likely be influential than those that are not.

I'm glad you know my mind better than I do. What am I thinking now?

There has been plenty of movement on the recovery front. The whole deal with Haley II is an integral part of that recovery. As for the therapist - did you really expect one session with a therapist was going to make everything all better? This whole issue had been festering with her for nearly a decade. A few weeks (game time - the amount of real time that has elapsed since that release is irrelevant) would never resolve it. The parents trying to pull them apart is one of the problems they have to overcome - not going to happen in a release or two. The reason there has been not much progress in how they stay together is because it is a nearly impossible situation. A situation where Haley has been reduced to suggesting that they just run away. This is a knot that I am very eager to see how (or if) it can be untied.

Actually, you seem like you are just anxious for the game to be over. Given your opinion of the game, that is hardly surprising. Since you do feel as you do, I see no hope whatsoever that these developers (or any others) could do ANYTHING that would satisfy your desire for the game to 'return to its former glory', without rewriting it before Klaus. Perhaps you should undertake that task yourself. I might even support the effort.

I'm anxious for the Klaus situation to be resolved and the story to move on. My fear is that the story will end shortly afterwards and it will never have the chance to return to the great romantic comedy that it was. I said this to V. and posted here that what I hope happens is that K. is not a serial molester, that what happened with Haley was a one time event. I said that it may be too much for some players to bear (although I now believe that those players are long gone) if she had been repeatedly abused. What I would like to see is during the K. confrontation is for K. to sob his sincere apologies. To tell Haley that he had to go through years of therapy to be able to live with himself. To say that he has tried to be the best stepfather possible to H2 to atone is some small way for what he did to H1. For Haley to walk up to Klaus and hit him as hard as she can knocking him to the ground. As she walks away she stops and without looking a Klaus says "I forgive you." He says "It doesn't matter because I can never forgive myself." The weight is lifted from her and we get back to great story that this was.

Odd that you mention changing the story myself. After the September update I did go in and delete some scenes and change some dialogue. It was obvious in November that entire updates could be deleted without consequence so why bother.

Is it me or does it seem like the developers' have a growing disdain for their own title character? The longer this goes on the more her parents seem to dislike her. In the last update, we learned that these feelings (or lack thereof) stretch back into Haley's childhood.

First off approve of any comments, the more variety, and opinions in a topic the better. Second, this kinda writing plot twist is used and was used by writers for ages some are much more clever and in this particular case it could've been implemented much more tactful but what done is done. As for jumping to the conclusion that the devs are milking the customer is fair as an opinion but accusing people with no hard evidence is childish especially since the majority of supporters for the game think otherwise and in this case, the numbers outweigh the individual and the nose dive you reffering in the story is directly attached to your emotions towards that particular incedent, the story got slower in my opinion but did not get worse you just simply lost inerest, although by this point it's pretty obvious that the game is heading to an end and I actually think this game is a great example for future devs of what they want in their game, stick by your original story but be prepared to see it trough because the development process is a long one and passion for a project dwindles over time, it's because of this reason a lot of games see no end or the ending is rushed just to get it over with or cave into the demands and just make money, but then what was the point to start something just to throw or whore it out with the exception that it was the project's core direction from the beginning, you have to have integrity and be committed to your work especially in this kinda work.

You refer to a reply that I made to another comment and without the original comment as a reference my reply does not make any sense. As you say, the story got slower. The story was meant to resolve the Klaus issue in 4 or five updates. Seven updates, no resolution. Why does the resolution get delayed while the plot gets slowed down? My opinion, money. Sorry, but the rest of your post is difficult to follow. That third sentence is more than ten lines long.

Too many anim, and too little Story. I more like story, especially about haley.

This update was substantially better (minus the odd typo's) than the previous 4 or 5.
Haley isn't a sockpuppet for Sandra on the Route without Sandra which is a huge boon. There's actual variety in the two paths which is great seeing those choices made earlier matter again.

The only down side is the Haley + Sandra path felt a little bit lacking but i can forgive that due to where Sandra is in the story currently.

Hopefully future updates are at least this good when it comes to path varriance and writing.
