can anyone show me where to find 2 person name elvo the sorcerer and borgen the actor?? i just spend 1hr to find and i gave up:cry:
Elvo is in the south town, left side. There is an house right after the entrance, close to a bar if I remember?
There is a signboard in front of his house with his name on it.
Can't miss it.

Borgen is at the West town, there is a big building at the center of town, the theater, just pay the fee to enter, and meet him.

While I can easily understand, and it makes more sense, it's a little of a downer.
I mean; I liked this "Suikoden" feeling with gathering a huge amount of characters, but...
Oh well.
We are still getting the 151 girls, they just won't be in this game HC is gonna be divided into 4 sequels(Or was it 5? I can never remember), and over the course of those sequels we are getting them all.

I mean, I did many fights while not being above the level, but...
Daily quests still feel something else differently.
That's also because again, that was when I was in my early lvl 20's, and... I didn't bought the journeyman equipement yet, so I was probably totally underpowered.
I was gonna get into a big ass rant about combat dynamics and mechanics in the game(It's something I spend alot of time on in this game), but I decided not to burden everyone with it >.>
Besides you sound like you actually like the challenge and wanna overcome them yourself, if not feel free to PM me, I might have a few tips and tricks!

(she also takes what, 4 days was it before you get her after investing? So one more reason to do it early.)
Don't forget the invesment also takes those 4 days for the investment to start kicking in. (You only get the daily income after you have had the scene where you get Yama)

You only have so many quests; and some don't even end the day. The event outside of that that ends the day are usually getting new girls, and a few rare events here and there.
If you don't plan well, and aquire a girl too late; you might not have enough days left to gift her...
Of course it is possibly to soft lock yourself, but it doesn't take the amount of planning you might be thinking. With furniture and gifts you can gain enough affection that you can the girls with the least amount of starting affection(The girls in the dungeon) in 26 days. Given we currently have 70 days(Give or take a few), you have alot of room for error. The only girl you might end up soft locking is the newest girl added in this release(Who btw takes even fewer days than the rest of the girls), and that's simply because she is gotten at the end of one of the quest lines, which is only a problem because the game is still unfinished.

Yeap. I do get it.
Only thing I hope now, is the "transition" between game will be well made, and the choice you made in the current game may impact the next one.
Some games also cut their content in half or more, but... There wasn't always the choices carrying over, making what you did in the first part/game sometimes, well, meaningless.

I do indeed, when it's well made.
Like in this game. Character type gives some variety, and you can made different teams, with different girls, and still be efficient.
I might pm you still in that case to learn more about it !

True.
But even more so a reason to make it happens earlier rather than later.
Plus usually, if you do that by day 3; you should get her and your income on what, day 7?
By that time you might have already unlocked most of the investment possibilities (but the few most expensive ones, of course...), so you might be close to have a good enough income to not worry AS much as you do at start.

Hum.
That's where my knowledge start to show it's limits.
Not only I though there was far less days indeed, more like 40ish days; I also didn't know furniture had anything to do with affection. (though it was only cosmetic purpore to have a more decent looking home)
How does it even work? Passive boost to gifts you gives them? A passive gaine ach day when you have the furnitures?
If you can do gain affection besides the gifts alone, then, yeah. I can rethink the difficulty to max everyone indeed...

AS far as I know, that's it. Also, the amount of gifts it takes to max someone seems higher than it actually is because in the beginning you're living in a wrecked house, which means a passive loss of affection each day, making the early girls take longer to gain affection, even if you're gifting them every day.

Ah, and the type and placement of the furniture also matters. The wiki has a pretty nice explanation about that.

I can't remember right now if you get her in 4 or 5 days. IF you get her in day 4 days, then yeah the day end on day 7 will be your first income from it.

Ooooh boy this is a big one. Excuse me if I don't explain everything in full; Basically the happiness works like this, there are 3 types of happiness in the game, Lifestyle, Attention and Personal(For the sake of this explanation I will focus on Lifestyle and Attention as those are the easiest to manipulate).
The amount of affection you gain each day is dependant on your happiness values. Any happiness value of +4 will give you +1 affection each day, +8 will give you +2 each day, going below 0 will reduce affection at the same rate.
Personal is the type of happiness you get with gifts, the max amount of happiness is maxed at +10. This happiness goes towards 0 at the rate 1 each day(Which is why you need to regift, and the observant ones amongst you might have realised you don't need to do it every day, because of math :p ). There is also a ignoring penalty here, but so long as you keep gifting the girls, you don't need to worry about it.
Then there is lifestyle happiness, which is what you get from furniture, the same rule about happiness = affection applies here. Only difference is it doesn't get lower daily, the only way to reduce this happiness is by removing the furniture.

The highest amount of affection you can gain each day is +4. You can check how much you get by checking the mood of you girl. Happy is +1/+2 Very Happy is +3/+4

If you wanna learn more about furniture, check out the wiki page.

Ah no, there is no negative affection gained from here, the lifestyle penalty is -3 you only start losing affection at -4. However it does mean you need more furniture to get that +8 for the higest affection gain.

Ah, and the type and placement of the furniture also matters. The wiki has a pretty nice explanation about that.
Ah good to see someone actually find some use in it. I have spent ALOT of time adding the furniture list and furniture spots on that page.

I just did read the furniture part in the wiki.

So. Not sure if I got everything well.

I do seems to confuse affection and happiness a lot, but.
In the end, the two main ways to gain hapiness every day remains gifts + furniture for a total of 6.
Of course, random event or scenes can be added to that, but are, well, random.

And as long as I don't ignore them, and keep them happy, I don't have to care about either affection or ignore penality.

Affection is what increases the hearts, Happiness is what determines how much affection is gained.
Also it's not 6, each of the two values need to be atleast 8 for the highest amount.

Still confused then.
I'll read more throughly the wikia later on, and do some test on my own in a new game I guess.
But in any case, I need to take the furniture into consideration for sure. Especially for the long term, it should be a great investment.

That's not uncommon, the happiness and furniture system is confusing... >.>

But the good thing about it is, that it's rigged in the players favour. While getting the most optimal setup going might be be easy for newcomers, it is very rare for someone to gain negative affection.

It is for sure.
But that's exactly because I love more complex systems, and even more so playing just to understand them better, and feel good about it in the end, that I will keep on trying until I finally get it. :p

Thanks for your time and explanations !
I'll be sure to check on that in game later today, but for now in this damn heat, I really need to go grab something fresh to drink somewhere...

My strategy for a fight is always use AOE magic users hahaha and have the rhinestone so don't need no potions. easy win everytime.
i started new game+ and i dont really need it but now i have two rhinestone gloves for felix and my other magic user ( normally i go for 2 fighter, 2 magic with felix as healbot but i gave him his name back)

I, for one, can't wait until the 3d gets phased out for drawn works. It just feels like some of the characters 3d models don't fit the 2d portraits they have. For instance, Bronwyn's portrait has short, not even to the middle of her neck, hair. During the sex scene, her hair's down to/past her shoulders. Meline's portrait makes her look like she'd be fairly petite, maybe almost loli like. But when you get to the sex scenes, she's suddenly got a rockin' body with a pair of tits that would make porn star blush. I feel like with drawn pics over the 3d ones, it'll be easier to get the bodies to match the portraits.

Edit: Bit of a retraction. Took another, good look at Meline's portrait, and it does kinda look like she's got some tig ol bitties, but it's kinda hard to tell with where the portrait ends.

When you endered the mine did MC say "Woah... This mine is about to collapse... Wait... I should definitely explore futher"?
If not and the Quest alone is not appering in Quest Log either you have encontered a bug with variables or something else that I don't know about (like you haven't completed something or some shit.)
If You want you can post the save you are using and I (or someone else) can take a look at it and maybe fix it (if it's a variable bug, if not then I can't help)
