Yes It's on I was thinking what I would replace for this dialogue "Oh, if it isn't \N[2] (Monica)?
What happened to us?" I was thinking of something like this "Oh? If It Isn't Monica? Did you know know what happened to us?" But obviously It won't fit Sometimes the message just keeps on overlapping I would create a new line if i knew how to do it tho
Alrite, real quick:
1) Don't switch out "\N[2]" or any other "\N[insert number here]" for that matter. That's how the map file is able to recognize what the player inputed for the party member's name. You would literally be changing how the game's text works if you do that. (what if some other player wants to name the girls "slut 1, slut 2 or bitch 1, bitch 2 and so on? If you change those, then it's not gonna show in the text or it'll become inconsistent) If you knew that already, then cool. you can ignore that.
2) You can kinda tell how the text box would look like by clicking on the preview button as you're editing the text. Then you would press the Enter key at that overlap boundary. Also, you can checkbox the "Batch Entry", so that it can automatically make multiple boxes whenever your text exceeds the capacity for Enter key inputs. (that or right click on the text box after the one you want to edit, click on "Insert", then click on "Show text".) If you wanna try to fill out an entire text box, so that you would use text boxes as possible, just keep playtesting. From here on, I'd say it's trial and error to make sure it all works.

Yeah I know I've tried xD and yes that's what I did I try to use the show text If the dialogue is correct But Do I need to keep adding quotation marks? I feel like the quatation mark is the one that you use to create a dialogue then again I might be wrong Do i need to put those when I type something new?

You only need to use the quotation marks whenever it represents someone saying something. You technically don't need quotations whenever you type more text, but it's best to use them in case someone said something out loud, especially in instances where there's no face graphic in the text box. (that's always the case with typical NPCs) Of course, I'd recommend keeping the quotation marks that already exist. Just right click on an @ line after the text box you want to edit, click Insert, and click Show Text if you want to make another text box. I also mentioned the Batch Entry for when you are editing the text of course.

Well Just another question then How do I know which name or number has that character? Because I looked at this "

and butt, and a tight waist, \N[1]. " Even tho that \N[1] is the name of the protag his name isn't appearing right what's appearing is question mark ??? even tho I click the preview and Isn't there a plugin that can make the dialogues fit all together? So you can read it properly?

You can usually tell who is speaking by the face graphic in the preview. Also, don't worry about the question mark part. They're not gonna appear in the game itself as long as the player actually names the protag in the game. Oh, and the number pertains to the number in the "Actors" file. Just click on Database (hover over the icons and you'll know) and then click on Actors. You'll know who just by looking at the numbers in the tab. I don't know if there is a plugin that can squeeze the dialogue within the box. (There might be, but it's gonna take a lot of googling to do to find it and work it into the game without problems) And another note: make sure you keep backups whenever you're editing so that you won't have to do the work all over again in case you accidentally mess something up badly. (if you knew that already, then cool, ignore that)

Oh So meaning I don't have to replace that because that's where the player will rename the protag is that it? If it is the backup you're talking about the one that i should have is the data folder and graphics right?

How about when I want to add a run option I mean to adjust the speed of the characters? How do i do that?
1) There already is a run button. It's called the SHIFT key. On the overworld map, hold the CTRL key. (just stay away from objects and walls when using that) When in town or dungeon, you can use both for more speed. (again, stay away from objects and walls) maybe you knew that already or not.

No what I meant was how do I add those options for example when I played a new game and the characters movement is slow and when I change the dialogues it only affects what? The Data folder only? Or is there something else?
Because I'm planning on sharing those here once I've narrowed down some of the dialogues

ahh I guess you meant when playing a different game. well again, I don't know. You're just gonna have to go google it. (sheesh it's like I'm singing that certain vocaloid song lol)

no worries. and yes, the dialogue changes should only affect the data folder.
Ah I see thanks sometimes people just post the full game when they can just post the updated data folder which adds more files good to know by the way Are you a translator too? Or do you do other things related to these things?

Not exactly, though I am looking to be one. I know some Japanese though. I still might end up getting "assisted" by a machine translation though I wouldn't just use it outright. I still try to fix grammar problems and research what certain kanji and Japanese slang means while taking a game's context into account. ('Tis why playtesting works wonders) I know basic Japanese grammar, hiragana, katakana, and some kanji, so I think I got a good base and I'm still learning more on my own. (though Japanese slang is a huge pain to translate lol. I might end up trying to use an American slang that is either close in meaning or works in context lol) all I did so far was offer some QC advice and bugfixes for RPGMaker games since I learned how to utilize the programs by trying it out.

Oh I see well you're pretty lucky but yeah If it is a machine translator I think I can get a good grasp on what's it's trying to say I was gonna try to translate the Princess Serena from Dieselmine before but good god the sex scenes were too hard to understand It's confusing I'm surprised that no one tried to translate it Even tho it's own by steam who cares right? It's machine translation I was wondering myself why Krystallize abandoned it tho

In terms of translation, I don't know. I know he still reviews porn games on his youtube channel (he also has a pornhub channel for uncensored videos), but that's about all I know in terms of what he's been up to.

What I meant by the script was the story and the NPC's Dialogue besides I'm just doing this because the game's is free right? I can completely either download a Japanese version of this or just improve your translation since you're not a native english speaker right? And about my motive? None just want to atleast see a decent translation honest all i see here is either machine trans or some guy who just randomly translated a game but when you read it it's still like a machine trans besides If you're gonna restranslated a game like this you might want to at least make the story good right? I mean everyone here keeps complaining that the translation is not that good then why don't they try to translate this right? Sooner or later someone might take an action and do this kinda thing you know?
Errr ... what made you think I'm not a native English speaker? Lol, even in my comments replying to you, I don't think I'm incoherent at all, or give off the impression that I'm not one. In fact, I feel like I'm rather concise with my words, at least compared to other posters (honestly, your own [lack of] punctuation in the above quote makes me question your own grasp of English, and I don't mean to offend you there).

As for your words, I disagree that this isn't a "decent translation". And as far as your comment about people "complaining that the translation isn't good", I think there were maybe ... (out of the hundreds who have downloaded this translation), 1-2 people who might've even hinted at that, and one of them (who just commented), admitted that there's something lost between Japanese and English, which is true for literally ALL translations, given that words or ideas between languages cannot be perfectly expressed.

I know you're trying to help (or at least I think you are), but you're also coming off as a bit rude. Go ahead and try retranslating, since as Mattn915 said, nobody is stopping you; just give me credit for the original translation. But it's not as easy as you think, especially because some of the questions you're posing make me think you're going to break something or ruin the current translation badly, especially because you're absolutely a newbie to translating. For example, in YOUR example:
"Oh, if it isn't \N[2] (Monica)?" --> "Oh? If It Isn't Monica? Did you know know what happened to us?"

1.) The \N[2] is a crucial variable. It is a placeholder for actual game content. If you used the actual "Monica" text and removed the \N[2], the human player would actually see "Monica" instead of whatever they named their female character.

2.) Just because you THINK there should be additional text there doesn't mean it's correct. Sometimes I didn't add information because the Japanese didn't have any there. Or (and this is the bigger issue), in this particular game, the same text is used in multiple areas, which means that if you actually added that extra sentence in the example, it might be displayed in EVERYWHERE that preceding text is used. Therefore, if "Oh? If it isn't Monica?" is used as a constant greeting or something in the game, the "Did you know what happened to us?" would make absolutely NO sense in other contexts. And yeah, that would be universal.

3.) You're adding text not to improve readability but to add superfluous information. While this isn't a "problem" like the above two examples, it's also unnecessary. If THAT'S the extent of how you're trying to improve my translation, I'd compare that to installing a bush in front of a completed Empire State Building.

Also, I'm ending dialogue between you and myself because I don't think it's conducive to neither healthy discourse nor auspicious production.
