but why was this game abandoned? some sort of warning crusade would have been nice
It is in fact not abandoned. It just qualify for the automatic abandoned tag after 18 months without an update. It is still being worked on.

I think after 18 months without an update, it is right to assume that this game is no longer being seriously developed. If someone were really still working on it, the person could simply bring out an update. Just spreading hot air has no value.

Because everyone needs to be saved by a danger; especially when this danger doesn't exist.
You probably meant "from a danger", but since it's xaxa the savior, I guess that "by" works better.

It's been what ? Two months and half now, something like that, that he's answered the same truth, "yes, Notty is really working on the game, no she can't be milking because the pledges are frozen". Every single time he is presented new proofs of this, through a new demonstration. And every single time he just don't give a single fuck about what is said, discarding if like it never happened.

Whatever what you (readers) personally think about the game situation, this thread should stay at peace.
If you believe that the game is dead and buried, then there's no reason to talk about it. Let the dead rest in peace, no ? And if you believe that the game is just suffering from a long delay, then stop giving false hope to those who believe like you, and have an instant of joy when they see new posts on the thread.

But xaxa crusade is just ridiculous. He's talking about, and to, someone who is obviously not reading what he's saying, trying to change a situation that he refuse to acknowledge, and all this for a game he already said, more than once, that he don't care about it.
He was clearly a troll one month ago, and clearly haven't improved since I put him where he belong (hint: it starts by "ignore" and finish by "list"). It's more than clear that he don't care about the effective game situation, and just have a personal issue with either the game or Notty ; issue that he's totally unable to let go like any adult would have already done after so many months.

But the fact is that neither this thread, nor the people reading it, are his therapist. If he can't move along, it's his problem, and only his ; I don't see why this should impact the readers like it's doing since now way too long.

Depends on who you ask.
Aristotle: such is the nature of developers. They abandon their games.
Vladimir Putin : This is an unprecedented provocation! We feel entitled to throw 50 tons of nerve gas at the developer!
Ronald Reagan: I forgot...
Martin Luther King: I can see a world now where any developer is free to leave her game without revealing her purpose.
Freud: The mere fact that you care so much why the developer left the game reveals your repressed sexual insecurities.
Darwin: Developers, over millions of years, have evolved by natural selection in a way that endows them with the ability to leave the game.
Einstein: Whether the developer has left the game or the game has moved away from the developer is a matter of comparison.
Moses: and God came down from heaven and said to the developer, "Verily I say unto thee, abandon the game!" And the developer left the game, and there was great joy in heaven.
Whining Pirates: Because she wanted to fuck us over! That's the fucking truth!

You forgot the most suitable one:
Schrödinger: Due to a quantum paradox, the game is simultaneously abandoned and being developed, depending on who is looking at it

I was really happy when I found this game a few weeks ago and even more happy when I found out it's not abandoned
I am going to take everyone's advice and start a new game when it gets here
After playing it I knew I found a game that sets itself apart from most of the stuff on this site

Now THAT sums it all up in one sentence.

I actually believe the game's next 'upgrade' will come out. . .eventually.

However, the 'war of words' on this thread will exceed the amount of new text & events the dev releases by an order of magnitude.

Fact: This Dev is a 'hobbyist' who is producing their personal work, learning as they go (not charging) on their own schedule (like myself) but with this thread of 'public controversy' swirling around them being supported by passionate followers and maligned by disgruntled 'trolls' that produces this 'soap opera' for no practicable purpose except for 'free advertising'.

Man, I wish I'd thought something like this up. Callisto Premium could use this kind of interest.

"To heat a glass of water by talking takes two thousand years in the case of soft speech, seventy-five years in the case of loud shouting. But only if the heat does not leave the glass in the meantime. On this basis, measure the benefit of chattering."
