So the content of the HeavyFive-2RS is included in the HeavyFive-4R ?
Not quite. The "canon" quality of the renders, new UI, etc. is only available in Chapters 1-2 right now, in 2RS. Personally, if I was playing for the first time, I'd download and play 2RS, and wait for the updates of the remastered Chapter 3 and 4.

So, yeah, "modern ammo has an oxidizer". Perhaps they did things a bit differently in her future (can't remember how it was said in here).
All gunpowder and 98% of military explosives have ALWAYS had a built in oxidizer, for the simple reason that it's very hard to get enough atmospheric oxygen dispersed into a fuel quickly enough to create a proper explosion, and not just a fire. The only exception I can even think of off hand are fuel air explosives, aka thermobarics, which are a relatively recent innovation and are rather hard to do. Believe it or not, the main issue with guns in space is barrel overheating. Without air to cool your gun, your barrel can get warped very quickly. Compensating for recoil would also be a bitch in freefall.

Oh, the LSAC 218 Machine Pistol:
1) Its main feature is the "ability to operate in an oxygen free environment".
It means it can be used in harsh environments like space vacuum or on celestial bodies without atmosphere, each one with an extreme range of temperatures.
Then why would she say "oxygen free environment"? Vacuums are certainly an issue for firearms, due to various temperature issues, but she specifically said oxygen. A normal modern firearm would work just as well in an anoxic atmosphere as our atmosphere, provided the conductivity, pressure, and corrosion effects were the same... which they wouldn't be, but the point stands.

Yeah I know it's almost like this is a science fiction game and a certain level of basic realism is desirable.

Look I don't mean to be testy here, but this is really basic stuff. The dev could have just looked up "guns in space" and read for about 30 mins before putting silly stuff like this in there.

Or maybe I could just stop caring about realism in porn games and get back to my schoolwork...

I don't think it is more a matter of suspension of disbelief than a matter of realism and this is exactly what can happen if you put modern guns in a sci-fi story.

I must confess, I am very excited about this "Philosophical strip ping-pong" (if I rememeber correctly its title), because I don't have the slightest idea about what the hell it can mean.

Well, well, well.. One month to respond to my quoted post?!
Do you really think your point still stands with my point 2) unquoted??
And ask yourself why a Dev, who is a SciFi fan like me, would refer to a none around oxygen environment..

Do you really think you can make generalities about a certain level of basic realism in a science fiction game with only one reference quoted from one only fire weapon description??

Do you want basic stuff from SciFi adult Fans? I can provide it to you.. Kiddo.
So, if I say an assault riffle which "needs oxygen around" it to be able to fire in space vacuum without a special case, is it ringing any bell? I guess not.

The LSAC 218 Machine Pistol, with its "oxygen free environment" specification, is an homage and a solution to Vera, Jayne Cobb's favourite assault riffle, 'cause "She needs oxygen around her to fire" in Firefly(TV series).. A cult series.
It's in the "Our Mrs Reynolds" episode, which leads to one of the coolest SciFi scene I've ever seen:
Vera, placed in an upper space suit with a helmet and sealed to Jayne's forearms with adhesive tapes, shooting four rounds through the helmet visor. SciFi in all its glory!!!

So do the Dev and us a favour, get back to your schoolwork. It's not an adult game for nothing...

Maybe he hasn't answered because your second point was a nonsense? Do you really think the real cartridges doesn't contain all the necessary oxidizer to burn completely the charge? Do you really want have a barrel encrusted with the residual of the unburned charge, after some shots during a gunfire? I don't think so.

I really don't think this "homage" to a so called cult series is a good explanation. The fact that this sentence doesn't make any sense in that context is a fact and it doesn't matter if it is an homage or not.
