Yeah, but based on that logic, how many of the others are 'pilots'? The ones who are bored are supposed to be the ones who are reading it!

Poor gal. So much misfortune follows her. She is close to getting a boot, accidently damages a shuttle, forgets to wear a bra, is possibly had for breakfast, is possibly blackmailed, possibly has a wardrobe malfunction, possibly gets embarassed by having to strip to underwear, chapter 2 events possibly happen, and now this...
Surely things can only get better in Chapter 3...

Or she gets locked in the game like the matrix/lawnmower man. She will be fed intravenously and kept alive while living her pirate fantasy, of course she will still have to pull her weight in the colony so a breeding factory she will be. I guess that is a bad enough end.
