That video card tho... that's more than what I've planned on spending for an entire render rig
The thing is, I remember having read somewhere* that it wasn't just an issue of graphic cards but of entire rig that needs replacement. I mean, what good would a Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti do if the computer it's attached to cannot even use it? Actually it was a Titan RTX they were saying... over twice the price of an RTX 2080Ti - slightly fewer CUDA cores, but 24GB RAM rather than 11GB

From what I understand RAM is more important for bigger or more complex renders; you can fit more in.

I've actually gone from 8go tp 32go, and I can attest that it allows for more liberties when posing the scenes. Still doesn't seem to be enough, though, as my computer seriously lags when trying complex things :x

It's the video RAM that's the important part! Hence why a 24GB card with fewer CUDA cores is faster than an 11GB card with more.
