Oh! And Doctor evil agreed to be the judge :)
Aww, I thought I could be the judge.:(

As you'll be defending yourself... (cosplayable?:sneaky:)

...and my testimony would just repeat what I and others have already told him on a number of occasions...

...I don't really have a role to play.:( At this point, I doubt there is at least a shred of self-reflection and openmindness in him, but maybe he'll surprise us...

Everyone has more or less different skillsets, so it could end up with so large a list of badges that players would forget what each of them indicate.
I have three thoughts on this. Firstly we don't know characters skill sets so every time we get new information the character box will need updating. Secondly just how skilled do you need to be to get skill set (Mike the unskilled Engineer for example), Finally to keep skill list small you need to be extremely general so it will not be able to give detailed info. ie Combat covers small arms, bladed weapons, blunt weapons, unarmed, heavy weapons, weapon systems then each of those can have several sub categories.

As an aside I don't really want to much information stored or handed to me. One of things I love about Nottie's game is the learning about characters and trying to figure out who has nefarious motivations. I don't want to have important information just handed to me if I miss it in game. (Just look at how much time I spent and still spending analysing the Chris/Kellie fight and gone from Chris exploiting Kellie to Kellie throwing fight to exploit Chris).

Question!

With this transparency thingy, rather than spend an age working out how to use sliders I was thinking instead of....

You all use the PDA in game anyway and it would be quicker than you having to go to the preference menu. Given you might what to lighten/darken the text screen depending on the scene background quite a bit anyway this could be handier.

Plus, being the lazy bitch I am, I can just move the text button to the PDA instead of having to learn a whole new branch of coding.

Thoughts?
I for one would much prefer the PDA rather than preferences.

Just wait for the facepalm from Canto! lol

Skills and stuff seem more like something for the character sheets and the notes pages about them, no?

Thank you all for your thoughts on this.

I confess the marine badges were probs added without a great deal of thought by me and reading through all the thoughts I'm struck by how, where the rank and location badges are a nice touch, other icons could just end up being counter productive. Why just the marines? What about others skills sets etc etc.

On reflection I'll take the two marine badges off and just leave it as rank and "homebase" icons.

Thanks :)
