Does rather change the dynamic a bit doesn't it?I admit it will be interesting seeing the people of the outpost walking in eggshells around the protagonist after they find out he can shut them down for good.
Of course that does rather depend on whether and indeed, who, knows....

But the bugger of my game is my chars do keep getting up to stuff whilst the MC is doing whatever he is doing...*has a little chart and everything!*

But how do we know that Kelly isn't really a spy? She might just be acting about not expecting to see MC there? She might know everything about everyone...I doubt she has acess to files from people of a superior clearance level than her.
Anyway if there is a chance to help Kelly get back at Chris i sure would help my sister just to see what would happen.

It's a backwater research station. It doesn't seem that important to me...

That is the simple version to distract spies and journalists, the real one is way better hidden. yeah w knowquite a few people are playing a game and are trying to play puppet master. We will find out though in time what role Kelly plays in all of this or just burn the station down and fly away.

I'd suspect No one, Amanda looks like the type of dame that knows her ways around a software, and hopefully around a certain lieutenant Longschlong's bedroom.
On the other hand, Mike the software guy gave Longschlong a toolkit that could have a spyware function...

It is such a shame that people like the PPF are thwarting colonisation plans isn't it?
But with no colony ships actually completed (thanks, Thea...) and only the three "I" class capable of inter system travel the fleet is very, very stretched. The loss of the Invincible was most unfortunate in making a bad situation even worse. I'm not suprised the MC has orders to consider closing the place. Last thing they need is to be keeping an eye on another planet when they have Phoebe to play with, no?
Maybe the MC should close it down. It does seem a sensible thing to do, no? It would take pressure off the mission for sure. Who cares if the plant is fixed if you're going to shut it down.
I'm sure there is a perfectly sensible answer for that. *sage nods*

I can see Marcus trying his best at being obsequious while trying to make sure we don't kill his two research projects, Trish multiplying her efforts at seduction for the same objective.Does rather change the dynamic a bit doesn't it?
Amanda trying to reason with us about the importance of her studies with the native Ophions while Kelly will also do the same but in a more blunt way.
Mike will be more or less indifferent to the possibility of closing the outpost.
