Reworking earlier parts of a game seems pretty common

Thought I'd share a render here, and a note about some changes to the earlier part of the game. First, it's been edited (again) and the next update should be "bug free," or at least, a lot less bugs / grammar / etc, issues than the existing version.

Second, even more important, the doorway at the very beginning of the game (and a street shot, as people pointed out, where there's nothing after the sidewalk...). The image below - 7 minutes to render ( a lot more content in the scene) vs earlier renders for the very beginning were ~ 2 minutes...so might take some time to redo the issues, but it'll be a lot nicer, and leave less people scratching their heads (I think).

I mean, if you're living in a house where you can see through the door...and you *can't* see the person behind it through the slats...something ain't right, right?

- The author was clearly inspired by the game "Radiant".
- Those who wrote dialogues and staged scenes in this game have a huge talent.
- Daisy is a small, hot, manipulative devil.

It's too good for the MC to be true. I directly feel the impending plot twist.

I was getting the same vibes. Radiant cranked up to eleven on the sexual side which honestly makes me less interested as everything is accelerated to the point of feeling rushed (which could be intended). I can't really agree on the dialogue though as it's been more innuendo than anything resembling a story thus far.

Models look alright though the faces are a bit off, particularly the brunette.

Everything does seem too good to be true...feels like a grift throughout.

Thanks for the compliment about the models Obviously, I'm fairly happy with the main cast. The brunette (Jen, waitress in the restaurant) might end up getting replaced at some point, TBD.

I'm working on porting the animation over from the frame based animation to videos instead to ensure everything loads faster + is more seamless, along with a bunch of other normal update things over this weekend. Another update should be ready in a few days.

There are a few plot hole patches and story improvements inbound as well which should make everything better.

stop advertising for that terribly overrated game. Also, anybody who likes Her Heart's Desire better hope it's nothing like Radiant. Mrbigchungus has updated his game more in 1 month than those milkers have in 2 years!

Radiant is a great game. I don't quite understand how the update rate affects the quality of the product.

The quality of the Radiant "product" is laughably bad given they only update once a year. The renders are good, but the gameplay is terrible, and the writing reads like it's written by a 10-year old. That game is only popular because that dev's friends/Alt accounts keep advertising it in other game threads like this one. Maybe focus on supporting new devs like Big Chungus, instead of those mikers

I am not a Radiant subscriber. I'm not going to judge whether he is milker or not.
This does not affect the quality of the game in any way.

I really like Her Heart's Desire, I like the author, I adore Daisy and I am looking forward to the update. Everyone has their own tastes, but are you trying to tell me that the story and gameplay in this game is somehow better than in Radiant? I don't want to offend anyone, but seriously?

It looks more like some kind of personal grievance. Please try to be more objective. Thank you.

Yeah, it's "personal" because I don't like scammers and milkers, and the Radiant devs are probably the biggest scammers on this site. I'm not going to list all the reasons why their game is overrated because this is a thread about HER HEARTS DESIRE.

But I will say the fact that you think this game was a copy of Radiant just shows you don't play many other games, or that you have an agenda. Radiant's plot/characters were ripped off from Picture Perfect, Parental Love, and New Life With My Daughter - so no, not original at all. Since then, Proud Father and The Guardian have also released very popular games (actually deservingly) with similar storyline and characters, so to say that HHD is a copy of Radiant is just not accurate, and insulting for a guy who's clearly putting a ton of effort into this game vs. that one-hit wonder

Are there any images that you feel are off / bad / need major change?

I've fixed almost 20 early images that were missing a solid background, or like this one, that had a view of the street outside the house, but the details weren't there. (below is the new image, not the bad one I'm replacing).


I've got a few more things to wrap up but if you see something that needs changing, I'm all ears.

That's unfortunately (I believe) a result of a cheap / problematic prop - the car - something I can't resolve without swapping out the prop. Changing vehicles is on my list as the game goes along, though I need more supporters if I'm going to keep buying assets regularly

I did not have the image you shared with Lily in it on my list, but that's a good catch. Recreating that scene now.

I feel like this is the sort of porn game premise a machine intelligence would make after being trained on a set of patreon incest games and not picking up the euphemistic nuance designed to get around censorship of the taboo. That it's the censored taboo which makes the game premise popular, not the landlord/lady euphemism.
