Completed Personal Trainer
so I don't understand that since completed, what other part will be Personal Trainer ???
Did you read his entire post about it? He explained in detail "his" reasons for re-doing PT for Steam.

I want to add that Steam readily accepted the pre-refresh version of PT for sale. I had to submit the original game early in the process to get the Steam page approved. My intensified focus on the Steam release is driven by personal reasons – specifically, my discomfort at the thought of charging for a product that's riddled with bugs and left many feeling unsatisfied with the ending. On Patreon, supporters fund a developer's creative journey, whereas on Steam, customers purchase a product. This fundamental difference is the reason behind my temporary shift in development efforts from In a Scent to PT.

Opting for the most profit-oriented strategy would have meant spending just a month on PT, fixing critical bugs before releasing the game on Steam. That's what I originally intended but my conscious didn't allow it. Although the extra time and effort I've put in may not directly translate into increased revenue, it will at least allow me to sleep easy at night and be proud of what I've created.

I understand that it's a big disappointment to those who don't care about PT and just want more of IaS. I've been transparent with my supporters on Patreon throughout the process. The beta build of PT is almost ready for release on Patreon, which will allow me to shift more development back onto In a Scent. After Steam, it's back to full focus on IaS and spreading the love of Gary.

That makes sense. Actually a good decision. Steam reviews can be extremely harsh when it come to things like bugs.
Yeah, as he says, the game was completed, but even back then there were complaints about the ending and bugs, so it makes sense he wanted to put his best foot forward, as eventually I'm sure "In a Scent" will hit Steam as well.

Can't fault a dev for wanting to polish their game and fix bugs, early renders and story elements when they hit the huge market that's Steam. Get a bad rep there and you dramatically reduce your potential long term income.

Sadly, that seems to be a recurring theme with Devs lately. Lower your expectations as the dev will likely drop the game at a moments notice.
No use worrying about it unless you support that dev. If all you're doing is playing the game for free from here it's no big loss if the game is Abandoned, since you have no skin in the game, so to speak.

Because it will be a stream of money, since it will be on Steam.

Update a game that only a niche player base knows about (IaS), or put a game that is really good on Steam that will sale really well? No brainer...
Lol, PT compared to this, looks like Red Alert 1 from past century vs any modern RTS. And I REALLY doubt it's months of work to adapt any game that... looks like PT to be released on steam. They don't CHANGE THE GAME ffs, they just add launcher to it.

Here? We have almost full one year of nothing. This is simply one thing for me - pay me on my magical patreon FOR A YEAR AND I PROVIDE NOTHING xD

Yeah, they probably should start 3-5 other games and then try to move to epic store/gog with the oldest one for years. That'd do the huge amount of "good" reviews xD

*Sigh* See how you guys look when you don't even bother to read the thread, yeah i know... STUPID. PT was incomplete something the major part of the fanbase in patreon complained about. With domiek starting to learn blender the possibility of finishing the game was growing till it happened. Speak for yourself a lot of people are waiting to play PT again, more so with the new content.

Yeah, yeah... I got those excuses first 10times I was following the porn games. It's clearly a typical thing, that most of them devs do (apparently this one too): release 1st game, like 1/3-1/2 completed (as far as all those devs state it is), then do smaller and smaller "updates" closing in on version "final"/1.0 or whatever it's called. Naturally, the closer to it, the rarer and tinier the updates. Ofc in the meantime they HAVE TO start another game, that goes exactly the same way. (yes, i also know it's simply milking the patreon, like onlyfans milks simps)

PT was not finished? It never looked like 70% finished, but "someone" marked it as completed, so... Oh, look. It fits the scheme!

Who sounds stupid now? I do know the excuses. I just don't approve them - cause it would simply not work ANYWHERE else. Simple as that. Mind blowing, innit?

Milking? Why do you give a fuck about Patreon's? Huh?

How are they milking you? How about this, don't worry about what you aren't paying for, or what others are paying for? Your life will be much better off.

Came out of the wood work being here for 3 plus years to make some random ass comment or it is an alt...

It's my alt, sorry. I have multiple split personalities and a negative self image. I'm constantly waking up to nasty little comments that I leave myself.

It's like Fight Club but with angry masterbation.

Dunno, why should I give a fuck about Steam?

I don't "worry" about it, I stopped few years ago. Reaction to "worrying" was exactly as I would predict now and hoped "not to be" then - no fucks given by devs. xD I meant, that it's basically mesmerizing/astonishing, that it takes years to almost finish one game, then the "cumming update" is almost always done like "there, have it and choke on it, finished". While the flow and glow is gone, the game is "completed". To give other dev example - Milfy City.
