So here we are, let’s check in
5 new lewd scenes. Nope. From what I can Tell we have;
An extra Susan scene, but this only counts as 0.5 since it uses 90% of the same content as the Ginny BJ and the Hermione HJ. There is also the Elf scene (why?) But again, I think the Elf use the same background as Daphne. I’ll give this 1.5 out of 5 (Even though the elf is kind of a waste)
New clothes for FMCs sort of but not really, there are a bunch of new skins, but nothing fully implemented as permanent outfits. Ideally I wanted this to be slutting up the basic uniform anyway. I’ll give this 0.5 out 1.
New locations 3 implement (Library, potions room, forbidden forest, Hagrids door) I’ll give this 1.5 out of 1. The forest doesn’t seem to actually have much yet, nor does Hagrids.
2 new mini Games. Don’t think there are any 0 out of 2.
Some core story progression 0 out of 1. Some may argue the rebuild should count for this, I don’t think so which I’ll get in to.
That’s 3.5/10.
The decision to move efforts in to rebuilding the game while making no forward progress is bizarre. Half a worthwhile Susan scene and a random elf one is simply no progress. I really don't understand how an artist hasn't been able to produce a new lewd scene for each girl and possibly even variants of those scenes with the other girls.
The story rebuild isn’t bad for reference, it’s the complete lack of worthwhile new content that I find the problem. Their Patreon is now making $24k a month. March to November is 9 months. That’s $216,000. This game has not had a 5th of a million dollars worth of progress on it in 8 months.

Never try to judge a patreon funded game by how much money it pulls in per month. For every Team NLT that puts out worthwhile content on a regular basis that matches how much money they pull in per month, there's 20 games that pull in that same amount and put out almost no content in comparison, and around 100 that make barely enough money to justify continuing, and a few hundred that put out a few updates, fail to gain steam, and wind up abandoned. So passion projects like Fantasy Valley get left at the wayside pulling in a few hundred dollars a month and eventually get abandoned while projects like Innocent Witches or Something Unlimited pulls in tens of thousands of dollars a month, make no progress, and have done so for years because they get by on "parodying" (stealing) a preexisting IP with attached nostalgia to bring in money. There's no denying that Innocent Witches has phenomenal artwork, but Sad Crab is also aping one of the most popular intellectual properties in the world, so there's really no point in complaining. You'll just get modded for it.
When you are right, you are right. I honestly don't get it. It would be so easy to do as you suggest. The whole rebuilding thing has become so confused I can't follow what is going on anymore. I no longer expect genuine progress, only sideways movement. Sadly, for everyone concerned, I think events (and other games hitting the same genre) are going to overtake this one.

I visit this thread once a year or so just in the off chance there is any real progress and I can play the game again because I love their art so much. Sadly, as it seems, another year wasted. I cannot even fault the Devs, they have surely found their audience in Patreon and every bad review on F95zone they read they probably salute with a glass of champagne. From all the games I follow, they have by far the highest pay on Patreon.
Don't get me wrong, I do want them to be successful, but I wish actual development & progress would be rewarded. But their audience seems happy with the 3rd, 4th? revision of the plot and yet another mindless mini game, and us, the pirates, will have to live with what we get for free.
My only hope is that eventually they will run out of ideas for mini games and old plot revisions and they finally do implement some main girl sex scenes.

I agree to and extent that you can’t judge a game by its Patreon. That said I do think it’s reasonable to criticise high earning games like this, that claim to have large teams for stagnating. I laid out a reasonable set of expectations 10 months ago and they didn’t even hit half marks.
There should rightly be a dismissive attitude to opinions of the people who don’t support games they ‘like’. But as per my original post, I do support games I like that release a combination of regular, quality content of a decent size.
I don’t see any reason to be ‘modded’ if you are being fair and not being rude.
The biggest challenge to a game like this should be producing artwork, but a full time artist should easily be able to produce far more on a month to month basis. The real question is where is 24k going? They supposedly have a team of ten working on this.
This is sort of my position. I feel like once you hook Patreons in you have to really fuck up to loose them.
Can't blame the artist for the lack of lewd scenes with the main girls. They only make the scenes the devs pay them to make. The devs wanted a garbage scene with an elf so they paid the artist to make one.

I agree I’m not so much blaming the artist as asking the question why the budget isn’t being used to produce the content that the vast majority are playing for.
As I understand it the first couple of years were spent saying, “well no lewd content yet, we have to build to it”. Which is fair enough. But the fact out of the 4 main girls in the last 10 months there has been 1 maybe 2 half scenes is ridiculous (half scene is when an existing background is used and a new girl is inserted)
Anyway I think we’re in agreement, but all it’s in my power to do is moan about it here and not support them on Patreon.
I think I sense an understandable resignation in the posts on the last few pages. This has been going on too long for anything to change. I also think it is a very short step from there to apathy. There are lots of other games for us to follow and support. There are even games in this very genre. Good luck to the developer, but it is time to move on.

Let's be fair, Akabur makes actual parodies and is a very talented artist, he's kind of above the judgment for the straight up theft that most parodies around here enact. Akabur was making porn parodies before patreon was a thing, before crowd funding was a thing, and he maintains a consistent level of artistic quality that very few artists in the rule 34 field can match. He also doesn't have a history of wandering away from projects or treading water and getting nothing done. Star Channel 34, as much as fans may not have liked it, never dipped in quality of art and it had plenty of lewd content and sex scenes. The fact that he's moved onto a new project without finishing it is a shame, but it's at the very least a project people are interested in. Shit, without Akabur there would be no Innocent Witches and IW still has less content in it than even mods of Witch Trainer have. Akabur isn't immune to criticism, but he's far more deserving of a pass than most devs around here are.
