I had a group I played Ad&d with in the 90s. That system was always weird to me. It's fun but just as well they abandoned it. I remember True Neutral as being described as being concerned with keeping "the balance", which seems to mean that if there is too much good around you, you must do something evil to "keep balance"? Weird. The creator of the game Gary Gygax was a very specific type of hardcore christian though, at least that's what I was told, maybe it made sense to him.

As far as I can tell that list looks pretty good, though I'm not familiar with all those names. I'd maybe put Snake Plissken on Chaotic Good, but I can see the argument for Chaotic Neutral. Veronica as Lawful Neutral makes sense to me. They're all about order.

In my entire giant lore of seven connected games in my head, Veronica Karlsson is a giant figure that impacts way beyond KG.

So if these hypothetical games ever come out, who knows, maybe V will show up there as well..

You know, I like Jules , but if Kane wants to stay alive centuries later, he has to end up with V .

And the Wiki has some examples of characters for each alignment (I don't know if this is right):

Lawful Good: Batman, Dick Tracy and Indiana Jones.
Neutral Good: El Zorro and Spiderman.
Chaotic Good: Robin Hood and Malcolm Reynolds.
Lawful Neutral: James Bond, Odysseus and Sanjuro from Yojimbo film.
True Neutral: Animals, Lara Croft, Han Solo (70's Movies) and Lucy Westenra from "Dracula" book.
Chaotic Neutral: Captain Jack Sparrow and Snake Plissken.
Lawful Evil: Boba Fett and Magneto from X-Men's.
Neutral Evil: Mystique from X-Men's and Sawyer (early Seasons of "Lost").
Chaotic Evil: No one is mentioned, I suspect perhaps a biblical demonic figure .

I was ready to go a couple of rounds over some of these but then decided what's the point?

Now I kind of want to do an alignment chart for KG. Slotting that up there with a tier list based solely on looks.

You can only try to make the tierlist with the main characters, the rest are slaves who barely speak .

If you wanna argue about it, unless it's something drastic like telling me Junko is chaotic evil, I'm gonna probably just agree since nearly everyone in KG has quite a bit of wiggle room. I do think the tier list could do with two versions of Elena. We'll probably end up needing two of Claudia as well.

I can certainly add them but perhaps at this point with their being very little change, I should do it for the next update or even Ep.9? I'm happy to go with the majority though.

On that point...I think someone hasn't seen Junko on the SubPath...

We don't need multiple versions of Elena and stuff yet officially. I just meant for that "alignment" version that good Elena is very different from evil Elena.

I have seen most (if not all) of the sub path content by now and I think I know the scene you're talking about. This is probably gonna get into Stan territory but it's sometimes hard to separate "I'm following a task set by my master and have to do this to survive" from "I enjoy doing this and I'm glad it I'm getting to do it." How many of the cast are just doing what they are told against their own will? Junko has demonstrated multiple times that she's struggling with some of the things she has to do (pet play notwithstanding, that's her thing). Ugh, I wanna say more but I'm fighting a headache from making the alignment chart.

Lawful and revolution don't go together. Astrid is connected to the revolution that wants to upend the current regime, it's as unlawful as it gets. It's for a good purpose, and Astrid doesn't care about the consequences as long as she can save as many as possible. Hence, chaotic.

I would put the good ones in lawful neutral at best, and absolutely no one in the three tiers of good . Maybe Zack .

It’s mostly the norm to rule over the weak in most instances in this society…Plus a lot of the cast are indoctrinated into being ruthless from the Karlsson university at a young age… So their view on the lower cast of people are skewed… Of course, characters like Junko and Claudia are a nice variable in the matrix of this cruel world but they are susceptible of corruption… sub side and dom side…
