I'm an Andrex kid...sorry. Still have my Andrex puppy stuffed toy (first ones they made) from about 45 years ago!Charmin is the best and is available to all! Thank you, Charmin, for equal opportunity wiping!
Never heard of it. Still, I believe in freedom to "wipe as you like". But, if they make you use "cheap recycled shit" you might want to consider wonderful, affordable, oh so soft, Charmin. And even in this case, there was one man at the top who had everything, and he was not going to give up food, wealth and whores for the sake of what his subordinates put into the heads of millions (about equality and other nonsense). The world is neither equal, fair or just. Why there will never be true equality, it simply cannot exists unless we wish to live in a post-future world like in the film Equilibrium etc...but then then, someone has to run such a system.
Yeah, it sounds fantastic enough and too good to be true. But that's why I'm so insanely curious about all the details of what kind of justice from the DeKocks, Karlssons, and New Paris that would satisfy even the sinless idealist Astrid, who nevertheless understands perfectly well that without the labor of millions of miners, it's likely that neither Island4, nor Project NOAH, nor other projects for the survival of mankind, would be able to come to fruition...The miners' labor provides all the complexes, buildings and facilities (including Veronica's science labs) with precious energy, without which everything would go down the drain...Thus, if they want at least fair working conditions and pay, the Elite will surely have to give up some part of their luxurious lives and exorbitant wages...or not..I find it incredibly difficult to believe, families of New Paris, the DeKoks, Some Karlsson's....will actually willingly and happily give up what they have. I just don't see it, even in fantasy stories people are not that idealistic. So is what they want to return to say, our current world (90s to 2020 say...given KG is very much 'based' in the real world and set in some not so distant future and directly references what Tess sees in the world today)...they will still be the cream of the cream, the elite, the Bezzos and Gates of the world...just with slightly less misery (and no slavery) for the rest of the masses?
I wonder what it is that we all missed in Veronica and Callista's dialog that only 2 people managed to notice?.. Perhaps we should re-read it carefully again.Aaaannnnnnnnnd the Q&A is once again...updated
V fans should like
(was already waiting with the Q&A open lol)

That's right...so the statistics aren't quite complete...I don't doubt that many of us have probably noticed what Tess is talking about...but I will reread V and Callista's dialog again.2 people that mentioned it to her....
My thoughts exactly. They remind me of modern champaigne socialists - rich kids who never faced starvation, deprivation and so on, but think they can make meaningful change. They have zero in common with the people they try to 'free', they don't have the rage and hatred of the averageI’m not sure that I would call it a revolution anymore. Yvette and Astrid are at best reformists.
my Kane we rule term all with them on all fours ready to be taken anytime he wants. I oh just can't wait to be kingMy thoughts exactly. They have zero in common with the people they try to 'free', they don't have the rage and hatred of the averageworkerslave. And that's something that is nessesary for a proper revolution.
The parallel with the Great French Revolution works best I think - good, well-educated people started it, but they quickly lost all control and many ended up as the victims of Robespierre and co. I know Astrid is safe, but I really hope to see the heads of the rest of all these well-meaning individuals on pikes during the new Reign of Terror.
Hopefully the world will descend into anarchy and a new generation of Juliette Karlssons will rise from the former slaves, and the cycle will go on until the world finally dies from starvation.
It seems fairly reasonable to me.To be honest, despite our cautious skepticism (or, in my case, rather optimism), we still don't know anything about their(revolutionaries) true plan..But given what Tess has revealed today about Veronica Karlsson's identity (in the Q&A , Question 13), particularly about the likely scene in a future game where Astrid visits the museum, we can conclude that the revolution did succeed and the slaves were freed.
And similarly, given how massive and special a character Veronica is to Tess (In my entire giant lore of seven connected games in my head, Veronica Karlsson is a giant figure that impacts way beyond KG), I can make the assumption that the canon ending of KG for Tess herself (not for Doms or Subs) will quite possibly involve a revolution. And by the way, I wouldn't be so sure right now that sending people on the Ark (Island4) into Earth orbit (with the prospect of exploring other planets) is a separate endings.
It's quite possible that in the future Astrid and Yvette will manage to convince Veronica of the necessity of change, and this world after the revolution will be left to live out its allotted time, becoming more just, Veronica and Cole's projects will be successfully completed, the problem of hunger will be eliminated, but the trained colonists will still go in search of new inhabited planets, because the whole Earth will still not be able to return to the state it was in before the Great Collapse..
I'm afraid you're right..It seems fairly reasonable to me.You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
If you really want a full understanding of Veronica I would add the conversation between the Gambit Queen and the Grym Gudinna to that reading list... Also, at the very start of the story we hear in the dark, a God's ear POV if you will, the last words of Alexander Karlsson. Veronica hates him with a passion yet the last sound in that scene is a woman crying... If you listen closely, she sounds more like a child than a girl or woman... Jus' Sayin'That's right...so the statistics aren't quite complete...I don't doubt that many of us have probably noticed what Tess is talking about...but I will reread V and Callista's dialog again.
To be honest, I didn't hear crying there, only laughter...And who was really at the bedside of the dying Alexander - this is a separate topic for discussion, which all of you here have already discussed many times...(and never came to a consensus). So I'll leave it aside for now, otherwise we'll get into a new round of discussion about Alessa and "Agent Olivia" again...If you really want a full understanding of Veronica I would add the conversation between the Gambit Queen and the Grym Gudinna to that reading list...
