Corporate Development Memo 1 June 2025

Hi everyone!

I just literally got back from my short trip about 2 hours ago so forgive any images that aren't quite right as had Anais help me select them for this post ahead of time. I want to thank her as she helped me do a few renders this week to help ensure a 100ish render week as a reasonable goal each week, etc.

It was a great trip to see her graduate and give a great speech, and it was a wonderful family time but I'm pretty exhausted so will keep this a bit short. I will be posting a poll immediately after this post about doing poll images or not...I realized I forgot to do it last week so will just do it now after this post.

Last week -- 106 renders/1,690 total

I'm entering the last arc of 8.3 (kind of shifting to the last games and VIP stuff for this update) so will be working on both paths I think mixed up here and there.

I'll try and do a way more detailed/structured post next week as I try and outline where I think am overall. I'm making progress on Steam stuff too so may update that as well a bit more.

Really tired so will leave it at that for now -- I wanted to update on kind of close to my desired/normal time versus a day later so doing it now. The images above are partially from Game 4 but two other scenes are more optional and depend on certain flags being present from prior choices. So I'm getting back to more of the "main branch" scenes pretty soon as well as secret sub content.

So guys what's the situation/verdict on the Dom content shuffling/removal whatever it was. Dev was very vague in her first post about it and I hardly saw any clarification on it in other posts so I would like to know in simple terms if she has removed some content or shuffled it or what?

Guy with the Elden Ring signature here. From what I remember from my convo with Tess, Kiyomi was supposed to be kind of a " go your own way".Where Kane and Kiyomi leave the Karlsson world behind and set off on their own path. Remember, Kiyomi and Katsumi were captured/sold to the Karlssons. So Kiyomi's situation is like that of the early Janissaries of the Ottoman Empire. Taken from home and trained to be loyal to the empire. So her breaking free and subsequent romance would have happened at an opportune time.

But if that is no longer happening, Angelica can fill that role to a degree as mentioned in the quoted post .She's from outside the Karlsson group, independent and can walk away at the end. Still, I believe what happened to Kiyomi's route was extremely unfair.

P.S Why did I think a random 4-letter combination was a good name? Need to change that

Silver, were you standing over Tess's shoulder when she wrote that? Or maybe you were in her head? I think we should wait for the "main post" (devlog) and then draw conclusions about what aspects of Angelica's branch this will affect.

May I ask where you got this information from? Maybe I missed something, but it was never(?) mentioned in the game itself, and Kiyomi's past and how and why she became the way she did is still shrouded in mystery. Yes, we know that Katsumi was apparently Alexander's personal servant from an early(?) age, but Kiyomi is a special case and we still don't know anything about her childhood and youth.

I have no idea. To me, all legs look the same, especially when none of them have pubic hair to identify them .

Perhaps one of the experts on this thread will know the answer.

Listen here buddy boy? Extensive branches on the dom side will be pruned, in context a the time of the chat was with Celeste and Angelica… but hey, we’ll see when everything is settled, I.e. which character from sub side goes dom and Vice versa… heh…

and Secondly… IT IS THE BEST PLAYSTYLE!! To me anyways , and I’ll stand proud amongst the Dom players of this forum and be the Shining Star that sub players can look up to for Guidance!!

Yeah, that's right. That scene slipped my mind...Although, there are still quite a few questions. For example, who trained Kiyomi herself in martial arts, considering that there is no one tougher than her and she can wring the neck of any Karlsson...And how come her sister Katsumi got into Alexander's service.

I have a long-held belief that Katsumi, if not lying, is clearly not telling Seth everything, and I assume that she and Kiyomi are not really from a simple family of some conventional bare-assed nomads from the Badlands. Their real elite and reach family probably once had the misfortune to get in the way of Alexander's business interests and subsequently lost to him, with the result that Alexander took the sisters as his prey.

However, little Kiyomi could have been taught martial arts by a sensei, a master of martial arts (back when they lived with their parents), and when she and Katsumi were forced to submit to the Karlssons, Kiyomi had already mastered the art of fighting so well that she was able to improve on her own and become stronger and more deadly. Of course, this is just a theory, but it seems reasonable enough to me. I hope in time the veil of secrecy over Kiyomi and Katsumi's past will be lifted and we'll get to know everything in detail.

Yea, if she just said it to Seth then I would think she's lying as well. But the fact that she says it to Kane whilst on the dom route makes me think it's the truth.

As for who she's been taught by. I'm 99.9% certain it says somewhere that both Olivia and Kiyomi trained under Ying Yue.

I'm leaning towards it being true too, but for now I'm sticking to my theory about an elite and wealthy family from Japan with long traditions, martial arts teachers and so on.

Well Olivia outright says she was taught by Ying Yue. But yea, I'm almost certain it says somewhere or at least heavily implies that Kiyomi was also taught by her. I don't even know where to look though. Sad.

Thanks for the screenshots. I knew I had seen that somewhere but didn't remember exactly where.

Ying Yue having trained Kiyomi doesn't seem too far fetched. She's similar in age to Olivia and since Callista knew Ying, its highly likely that the Karlssons did too. And since we dont see Ying in the present timeline anymore, she could have either passed away or gone into seclusion for n number of reasons. Leaving Kiyomi as the best there is.

As for the pruning, I think its being done purely for practical reasons. Tess knows that the game is too spread out and at the current rate of development where every episode is taking 1-1.5 years, the game will go into 2030s to be completed. Plus with her marriage and everything else, her life has also changed. So she's cutting out the extra routes she had planned. Ultimately we might only see endings with Olivia and the Karlsson girls. All other paths might be removed.
