Are you using that name mod? If so, the mod will need to be updated for version 0.7 of the game.
If you unzipped the latest version over your previous one, you will also have issues. Please, always extract the latest build to its own, new folder (not over the previous version).
Fwiw, I think the Rin crossover makes the story more interesting. I'm not sure how far behind I am, but I just started a replay to get through 0.7. Even though I'm not into nekos, I got hooked on Serenity on my first play, and checked out LH once I saw it was yours. And, I'm hooked on LH, too. Well written stories with interesting (and imo unique) plots.

The M.C. is a nice guy who protects the people he cares about.
As N2 said, you will understand the M.C. very fast as soon as you start playing either Serenity, or Last Human.
I suggest you play Serenity first.
Either case I think you will love the games.
Hm....then in next weekend I will gonna play both games, for now I will just wait for Sunday!

I could also see Natalie being sneaky and beaming up the Android after she realised the M.C. left it behind, she loves tech stuff after all.Hmm... you guys have given me an idea. D-18 was left on the planet and I don't want to rewrite that. However, I'm willing to bet that Aury will have the data needed to build a new, more up-to-date model using the nanobots. We'll see how it plays out, but I can definitely see a D-20 roaming the Aurora with possibly some funny interactions as well as other events where he could come in quite handy. Nice work friends, I'm making some notes on this.
And then Alexis came to the M.C.'s room destracting him lol.

But she is a Serenity girl.
just think, the LH M.C. could get to meet the other version of his mum from the Serenity world two.
Honestly, I would have thought that far more likely then meeting a Positronic version of his dad.
But all in all the possabilities are endless.
I'm always amazed at how N2's mind works and can't wait to see what he comes up with next, it blow's me away.
its kinda weird with the aderment name thing you should make a mod were the call the mc wht ever the player like and same for the woman characters so its not weird hence i have it as daddy since it my kink for my gals to call me that but it sometimes has it were the mc calls one of the gals it.
Waaaay more work than is needed. Download and install URM, go to the renaming tab, click the top right button in the renaming menu, "add text replacement", type "Trent" into the original line and your desired name into the replacement. Then click the save button right above the text replacement line and your last name is changed and other than installing URM you'll never need to do anything for any future updates either.

The Mod was because people wanted to change the last name of the M.C.
The is no mod needed for the M.C.'s first name.
To fix the problem, I think all that would be needed would be to change the M.C.'s last name back to the standed last name and resave.

is the default last name of the M.C.

The person you're replying to isn't asking anything about the MC's first or last names. They want to separate the term of endearment variable (variable name "
pet", default value: "pet") so that the term of endearment the MC uses for the girls is different from the term of endearment that the girls use for the MC. However, that would also require a rewrite of Pantherian culture, so it isn't really something that's going to happen.Personally, I never liked that term itself (in my mind, the connotation of the term 'pet' is either demeaning or infantilizing in unpleasant ways, like an old person using it on an adult younger than them to pretend at affection while dismissing their opinions as immature compared to the older person), but had no problem with the concept, so the variable provided in the game is perfect. I changed it to "chosen" for my game.

When you first start writing/coding these VNs, sometimes these little details just aren't apparent at the time. I had no idea, for example, people would feel so differently about the word "pet". It wouldn't be that difficult to recode things so that people can name the MC (first AND last name). But changing the (pet) so that what you call them versus what they call you will surely make the Pantherian custom look weird. And it would also make things complicated where I'd have to either make everyone start a new game, or add extra coding so that you have to rename characters, save, then add a 'jump' to the latest release. Doing that brings other questions like, how long do I keep it there? It will just make things messy.
Someone else suggested adding menu choices where you can name the characters there (instead of at the beginning of the game). I think I know how to do that, but haven't tried yet. I'll have to experiment to see. I don't like that people have to add mods in order to get the game they want, so I do want to address this somehow. But I also don't want to make things over complicated in the process.
