There are ways to use BOTs more effectively to make money. But well, as my grandfather often said, you will never make a racehorse out of a donkey, hu?1st iteration had that link in profile.
yea bots vanish quickly.
realy realy loved the game..chapter 8 is the end right?
Likewise, and I think we all have a different love interest in each of the characters in the game, depending on our own personal criteria and experiences, so it's normal to feel a little aggrieved when choosing an LI other than Cece or Lexi. The storyline was actually written around the character of Cece, because it is through this game that Drifty tells us part of his own story.I don't remember a single game that fucked my head besides this and Acting Lessons. Touching story, perfect animations and quality renders. However, I don't know if it's just me but all the endings felt a little underwhelming. Everything happens really quickly and suddenly in the end. It was as if the game waiting for the Cece storyline to resolve and then really quickly end. Even though I loved this game, I just expect a bit more from the endings.
Again, you might disagree with me on this but I felt the game was revolving too much around the Cece storyline and that made the other character routes pointless. It's way too obvious that the Cece route is the canon ending, not because she's perfect or anything, but because the game was designed for her character. I would say Lexi's ending was like a paradise, utopia ending whereas all the other characters were just filling the blank endings, except for Cece of course.
I kinda wish there were more to the endings which made more sense and that they weren't just roleplaying routes. Other than that though, the game is a masterpiece. Couldn't get a chance to fucking fap instead of crying
or more divergent paths. You could have multiple endings with the same character too. In fact, we see it with Lexi, Holly, Lexi/Holly or Kira, Robin, Kira/Robin. Thankfully it stops there or we could have been in a throuple with Linda/Chris or Holly/Chris!well more endings would have meant bigger cast.
Spot on with your comment really. I mean I totally agree with you on every step of the way... except maybe the characters having the same importance one. My argument is that the game relies way too heavily on the "destiny" formula, which makes most of the other characters "less impactful" or less thought-out compared to Cece. The script and the characters' "backgrounds" let's say, are built upon a single character, maybe even slightly two. Before I talk about the "two" and without confusing you, let me give you a few examples... So Chris invites you to a cafe and tries to hook you up with a girl + comes up with a ticket to a VIP concert... and we later learn that Cece was actually listening in on MC and Chris's conversation, even though it was very brief. So MC meets with Robin, Lexi etc... encounters his ex and eventually finds his way to the bus stop. Things happen... Ohh, what do you know, the girl that you saved turned out to be friends with one of your old friends Linda. You travel to LA and have some fun... Ohh, what do you know, Lexi is friends with a girl that is also super close to your ex. Which was the character I was referring to when I said the game is built upon a single character(Cece), maybe even slightly two(Steph). If you didn't encounter Stepth, you wouldn't be there to save Cece, you wouldn't encounter Linda, and you wouldn't travel to LA with any of the characters. So the reason you know or get to interact with the characters is mainly due to Cece and Steph. I mean the game acknowledges that when you speak with Cece in the hospital, but like you can't deny that the game is making you feel you belong to Cece, or rather choose her compared to others. Even if you're having fun with Kira, Robin, Linda, Holly, and Lexi, the scene where Cece takes on the bus makes you feel like a piece of shit. Because she's the main reason you're living your life as is. Anyway, I feel like I'm stretching a bit much here, what I wanted to say is that the characters don't really have as impactful backgrounds as she has. The encounter with your father, the talk with your step-sister, the conversation with the old man in the park... they are all there to teach or show the player a lesson. A lesson that everything happens for a reason and every single thing is connected to one another. So Cece IS the bridge between life and death, hope and despair. Damn... enough already. I'm just gonna go and cry a bit more...Likewise, and I think we all have a different love interest in each of the characters in the game, depending on our own personal criteria and experiences, so it's normal to feel a little aggrieved when choosing an LI other than Cece or Lexi. Cece is therefore the first central character of this story, the second being Lexi around which all the other friends of the mc gravitate, and the Mc here becomes the common thread that connects them all.
But what if all the characters had the same importance, if they were all the focal points of the story? Would that still make sense? Let's imagine a movie where all the actors are lead actors...
I think for when you put something or someone in the spotlight, you inevitably subtract value from those around her/him/it.
But rather than making a long speech, I would simply say that when you hold one of the best confectioneries in the world, you always want it to be endless.

I see that you have made a fairly deep analysis and that this game, this story has led you to think even further. It's always pleasant to read intelligent reflections, and without developing further, this is what I appreciate in particular on this thread, unlike many others where the intellectual level does not exceed the height of the belt.Spot on with your comment really. Thank you... Thank you soo much for your beautiful story and comment. I have a lot more to tell myself but I wouldn't want to put another wall of text here to possibly bother everyone else. I will say this, experience is definitely a key factor in how we view and analyze things... just like you said. I myself am a 27-year-old man whose big passion was writing a story. It could've been a game, book or even a movie. But some things stay only as your passion due to not having the ability to make them happen. Studied graphic design in high school... never actually learnt coding or graphic designing, studied English literature in university... never actually had the chance to have a legitimate job, studying and doing my master's on communication sciences... don't really know where it'll go. You never know how things will unfold. And this is me, simplifying things. Again, thank you so much for your comment.I see that you have made a fairly deep analysis and that this game, this story has led you to think even further. It's always pleasant to read intelligent reflections, and without developing further, this is what I appreciate in particular on this thread, unlike many others where the intellectual level does not exceed the height of the belt.
Your feeling is very clear, and I understand that from an outside point of view, the sight of all these events and people who bind to each other through the destiny of one, or two antagonists, can seem a little far fetched in a certain way. But again, I think that this perception depends a lot on everyone's experience, and especially whether or not we are aware of the links between each thing, event, person. Obviously in the game, these links are put forward by the developer, who wants to tell us a particular story intertwined with fiction, (although the word fiction seems exaggerated to me because some truths are much more incredible than the most eccentric fictions), and he lengthens all of this wonderfully well over a very short period of time, the time of a summer, highlighting details that come to sting us where it hurts.
But I will also explain why I say that. Let's start there. The username (♂Brout&Minou♀) I am Minou(the woman♀) and my "partner" is Brout(the man♂)
The way our "fates" intertwined years ago is a chain of events, some of which are tragic. Brout had just lost his little sister who suffered from the same pathology as Cece in the game. He was in very bad shape and decided to come to the USA to continue his studies. There he met my big sister and they became good friends. She introduced us, because he was passionate about photography, and I wanted to try modeling. I was his first model, and he was my first photographer, and we became very close, friendly speaking (or so we thought at the time). Later, his studies being finished, he had to go back to his country, and we started our lives on our own. Years later, after we both being married and divorced, while Iattended the funeral of a friend and her daughter who died in a car accident, to my surprise, he was there too. I learned that day that he had a relationship with my late friend and was the father of her daughter. My friend who was a fashion designer with whom I had often worked as a model, and with whom he had often worked as a photographer, and her daughter, or rather their daughter, whom I had welcomed into my home on several occasions without knowing it, and who had been my daughter's nanny for two summers.
Since that day we reconnected never left again.
Destiny is a odd thing and can even be dreadful sometimes.
But getting back to the topic of the game, I think the way the events unfold and the characters relate is more utopian, because everything is condensed in a very short a period of time.
