Jeez , I'm really surprised. I didn't expect these low end specs to be an issue for a VN at the very least. Although I'm not really bothered coz I'm here for the story. I'm testing it out on windows to check if Linux was the problem.

Thanks for the help.
arch linux is 1 of most lightweight linuxes aka leaving more resources for user to spend so game won't run better on windows.

Friend of mine had what I think was a Lab/Dane mix (based on size and body shape - about 110 pound of pure love that could dislocate your hip with its tail). She (the dog) also liked to run up and put her paws on you and greet you with a sloppy kiss. This friend's mom was on the short side, and ended up getting Frenched by that dog on numerous occasions.
:ROFLMAO: An ex-gf's family had a Chocolate Lab (might have been part something else, not sure) that used to constantly rearrange the furniture just by walking around wagging his tail. At night he'd kick his legs in his sleep at night and anything next to him would end up halfway across the room. Was cute/funny but made it hard to sleep on a couch he was sleeping next to.

To bring this back on point, since this AVN is still on my list and not yet played, do any of the characters have a dog or other pet that plays a regular role (no NOT THAT!)? There are a few AVNs I've done where a pet cat tends to play a regular role, but I don't think I've yet to see one where a dog did
Not in this game. I feel like I've seen a couple in AVNs but off the top of my head the only one I can think of atm is this one:

In non-AVN video games I feel like there a decent number of canine companions. Everyone that's played any of the Bethesda Fallout games knows Dogmeat is the best companion in them, for example. There was some game I played ages ago that had a dog companion that had a lot of interactivity including playing fetch which alone probably added many hours to my time playing that game. Might have been one of the Fable games perhaps.

I've always been a little skeptical of Chinese restaurants (particularly buffet style) that are in the same shopping center as an animal hospital...

I think it was Fable 2 that had the dog. Also, WOW has amazing pets.

Checked and I was thinking of Fable 3 actually, but thanks!

Never played it myself. After wasting around a half year of my life playing EverCrack, I swore off MMORPGs and rarely played any kind of multiplayer games anymore. Playing was a lot of fun but too addictive for me... even needed to stop talking to a friend that had been the one to get me into it and was still actively playing herself since every time we'd hang out she'd eventually start talking about stuff from the game, which was like trying to get clean by hanging out with your dealer.

Yes, they can be very addicting, but so is porn, which we have now mixed with gaming, so... welcome to your new drug! :ROFLMAO:

Hell, I totally agree, all those multiplayer online games can disintegrate you socially. A long time ago, I participated in some beta tests like call of duty, but the one that really derailed me was Astro Wars, a real-time space conquest strategy game. Starting from a first colonized planet, you had to invade or colonize the other planets of the solar system, then in neighboring systems, etc... Build spaceships to defend your planets and attack others, while building farms and dwellings to grow the population of each colonized planet, and increase resources and so on. A launched fleet could take days or even weeks to reach its destination, and if the fleet was too weak to eliminate any settlers already present, you would be ruined. And of course, we played as a team, at least if you wanted to last a while in the game. Each team built a forum for team members. Between the battle plans discussed on the forum, and the management of the game itself, it would have taken 48 hours in a day to do something else. It was completely crazy. At work, I programmed my calendar to remind me of the events of the game. I stopped playing it a long time ago, because I was starting to become an acro. The game still exists, but I forbade myself even to take a look

OH man , you already know about this Before
Sorry, didn't know you didn't have the information, but it's literally the rest of the conversation from Cece's path, when she stops to talk to the woman outside the hospital at the beginning of Chapter 8, but I'd have to go back and find it to find out which game she's from, 'cause I don't remember and not home, so can't help you thwart cxx's plan to frustrate you.
