Same. Was deciding between Jamie & Emme, until a couple of minutes with Malena. She's definitely my favorite. (Of course, still doing paths for all 3 LOL).

nope can't do it they are all equal to me but even if I have to pick 1 i'd probably go with Jamie just cause cute redhead but the others are so good id have to find a reason why Jamie isn't better than both Emme and Malena. Only one im not fond of is the ex , not a bad character just not my cup of tea but still playing her path.

ha, same, looks-wise Aghavni is probably dead last on my list. Other than that she is pretty cool and I like her. But the others are way more attractive for me. Anyway, I'll play all of the routes, they all are too good to miss out on.

I've no tried all paths. Fortunately it is easy in the early stages of a game with a bit of free time. I don't dislike any of the characters. This is one of the few AVNs where I actually enjoy the friends, Sean and his wife too. They don't just feel like charactures.

So far I'm a fan of Malena, Jamie, Aghavni and Emme in that order, but I'd say it is more like 1, 2 and tied for third. Jamie definitely gets some cut redhead points over the other two for me.

I can't think of any reason why Monk would continue making this game other than the creative itch that drives people to create stories, art, music, and enjoy the results even if it doesn't make good money.

I'm sure that as a professional in another field, he would have found a more profitable way to invest his time and skills than creating a great visual novel for such little compensation if it was only about money.

I don't think the game is that niche.

I do think that this is the author's first game, and it is only three chapters in. As word-of-mouth continues, and it reaches completion, and potential release on Steam - I don't see why the author couldn't get in the same income bracket as Philly Games, who also produces dramas, but has the advantage of two completed projects, and a good amount of time in the spotlight.

Comedy is the gold standard for the genre, those games have the highest earning potential - but there is a market for dramas. It's just getting visible, and that takes time.

Speaks volumes about supposedly liking this game fot the ”well written world building and charcters” but all of you choosing the wham bam thank you mam bathroom sex a whore garbage friend cheating girlfriend as the preferred alternative to all the character building or bennefit of a doubt about MC being a total asshole and shitty friend - hooking up with his dates BFF - they both belong to the streets and deserve eachother dumpster diving.

I mean in my playthrough "No to kids" was a deal breaker for her. IRL I've set up a friend with a failed blind date before. Granted wasn't same night, but definitely wasn't a big deal either. If 2 people I like seem right for each other and I'm not going to pursue it, I don't see the problem.

Even though I didn't hook up with her at the restaurant, I prefer proper relationship build-up first instead - I think you're exaggerating, to me it looks as drunk spontaneous sex, it happens, and it's not like MC is total stranger to her, he saved her BFF after all. Don't see how it makes her a slut by any definition.

Everything so far looked natural in a game and not out of a character.

And I don't get where did you find any hint of betrayal, I played it long ago and vaguely remember - even if you keep both paths open - when Malena admits she likes MC - Emme says that she is not offended and will be happy for them if MC chooses her, she is her BFF and she wants her to be happy, the same goes to Malena.

The way they game is coded, if you are still on Emmeline's path (you waved at her the first day and then said you like kids) Malena never enters the bathroom because she knows her friend is interested in the MC. The only way to get this sex scene is having Emmeline's path already closed. In that scenario, Emmeline literally tells Malena at the start of the evening that she doesn't think the MC is the man for her so she only wants to be friends with him, which gives Malena the OK to pursue him. If the Emmeline's path is still open, Malena never makes a move and then after the wedding they agree they both like him and would feel happy for the other if he finally chooses her friend instead.

Exactly, I must also add that she jumps you in the bathroom if you’re both drunk, and not on Emme’s path. You don’t really get the option to reject her.

you can make it clear from the very start I'm not interested in you so there's no misunderstanding

In a realistically honest playthrough it's nearly impossible to not go for Jamie exclusively.
The protagonist is essentially gifted the perfect love interest from the beginning.
The author had no choice but to nerf her by making her absent for a good portion of the story in order to develop the other LIs, even then she's still way ahead of the curve.
