So, I searched through this thread with as many keywords as I could and didn't really find a direct answer to this.

About 1) I think so too but know Monk liked my theory and i started overthinking, would he really give it a like if its right? I would tend to think he would like it if its wrong to create more confusion instead of liking a theory which is right and could spoil stuff if he likes it (ignore all this please lol).

About Jamie: Yeah i already clarified in my edit in my post, its Rockford who states that Jamie revealed it to him but Carrington doesnt really answers nor clarifies. So i and Rockford may judged Jamie too quickly

Good idea to try a tell jamie nothing route, im just not sure im able to do it would be way easier with every other LI

I tried the "don't tell Jamie anything" route. I'm at that point in Ch 4 where Rockford and Jamie are sitting together and Jamie asks him to accompany her to their family home. On this particular route, this is when Rockford finally tells Jamie about his father and sister, and says he has to speak to her father. Jamie's like, "Your father is alive? He's a murderer? You have a sister? And you didn't tell me?" Rockford actually declines the offer to accompany Jamie.

Moving on...

OK, I just got a shock because something happened that I didn't expect. I played this route on the Aghavni/Melena path and told Jamie nothing. At some point I've made a choice that's locking me out of all LIs except Melena, then I didn't get the choice to visit Colleen while at the bar, forcing me into the lonely manwhore route. I had Rockford go home from the bar, which I hadn't tried before. This results in Cassie Locke turning up at Rockford's door... and she admonishes Rockford for not visiting the Senator ["And now he's spent the better part of the last 24 hours consoling his emotionally distraught daughter. You really did a number on her"). She then makes Rockford the offer to run for office, giving the same spiel she does on the route where she and Rockford are at the Senator's house. Needless to say, Rockford doesn't get the opportunity to confront the Senator about his father and sister, so I can't compare dialogues.

I did notice on the "normal route" that the Senator infers that he prefers Solomon Hobbs remain "dead" and won't acknowledge to Rockford that he's actually alive.

Man, I think this update actually made me hate the characters I used to like.

Really getting sick of the MC, like yea I get the point is he is supposed to grow into a person who can "trust" people again, but just good lord every action he has taken makes me hate him more and more.

Jamie - I get she is still a LI in the game, she isnt actually going anywhere long term, and even if she moves away they will still find a way to find each other again because story reasons but really? After everything they did and went through, after all she sacrificed to be around him, she decides now is the time to take a new job?

Malena - have a few updates with some good hard conversations, actually making progress in a relationship just to say fuck all that and toss him out rather than actually talk through an argument like an adult.

Emmeline honestly just feels like a character thrown in to have some perky blonde in the game, really dont care about her or her story at all.

This update was just such a major bummer for me. Its like the dev knew how I was hoping the story was going to evolve and just did the exact opposite.

Point 6: Rockford calls her his "little sis." That is a CLEAR signal from him to Jamie that the relationship will not move beyond the status quo. And, yes, that was also part of his fake smile, everything's OK self-defence that masks how he really feels.

My entire point of 6 was, moving in a direction beyond status quo.

I tend to agree with you, not only because it screws the Emmeline LI path. I think it's part of a bait & switch. Only Impious Monk knows for sure, but he left clues as to the probable answer.

Regarding Jamie: did she really tell her father everything? Did she admit to it? Does it play out differently if the player has Rockford not share stuff with her? It was Senator Carrington that gave Rockford the Hobbs file in the first place. For all we know, everything else came from information on the case obtained during the break-in. I will have to play the "tell Jamie as little as possible"route to see if the Senator Carrington conversations play out any differently.

It plays out very differently, but I won't spoil how.

I have no clue why you concluded she's the least ambitious out of the LIs.
1. She wrote a proposal to the Supreme Court, that is being implemented.
2. She's doing the DA thing because it looks good on her resume. Being able to work with the MC is a (big) bonus to her.
3. Everything about her shows she's incredibly meticulous in her endeavours. From how she presents herself to her long term goals.
4. Despite having all the resources she could need at her disposal, she's making a clear effort to forge most of the path on her own. By her own merit, but not stupidly so. She's aware of how the world works. She's not naive to how being a Carrington gives her a leg up. (Much more than a leg if we're being honest). She's willing to use it to an extend.

There isn't a LI that even comes remotely close to her in that regard.

The "competition":

- Kindergarten teacher.
- Veteran. (Much could still be revealed here with her private contract work to be fair)
- Detective, though impressive, it pales compared to a judge on the Supreme Court. (Even compared to a regular judge)

Like many others I am really dissapointed in Jaime. I don't think it's bad writing i think its interesting and in line with her character and she is honestly a lot more selfish than she comes across at first glance. Wants MC to herself cockblocks him but is too much of a coward to admit her feelings and then when his life is falling apart and he is finally oppening up she bails. I'm kind of glad it happened this way it makes it easy to end the relationship with her and not look back. MC talks about how important she is to him but she kind of just bounces in and out of his life on her terms. Same reason Aghvani is a no go MC needs someone who actually stays.

I do like Emillene the best now. MC just needs some sweet innocent and loyal. Though he's already creampied his sister who clearly wants to be a mother so who knows how the fuck that is going to work out. It didn't give a flag for creampieing so shes not already pregnant but clearly even if they get passed that it will still be an issue for them unless they adopt or whatever.


edit: to continue the rant what makes me so angry at Jaime is that it felt like it was set up for her to choose love. The brother says that she knows that if the MC asked her to stay she would well he pretty much confessed his love for her and she hard rejects him so she doesnt love him nearly as much as other people think she does. And the symettry of her fathers story of falling in love with his wife and how he was all prepared to go to italy and then he saw her and that was that I would've thought it would've been reflected also in Jaime staying or at least fighting for a relationship with the MC trying to make it work. She just didn't even care. so dissapointed in her character (not the writing but her). She was one of my top LI's in any VN for a while (lol in mysignature still!) but poo on her

Your interpretation of Jamie indicates that you didn't really get to know her from playing the AVN.

"least ambitious" - LOL, that cannot be taken seriously.

"most dedicated to the MC" - compared to what/who? MC is a closed-off loner with intimacy issues. He ran through a string of girlfriends and the only constant friends in his life are those that have known him since before he went to law school (Luis, the Carringtons, Sean). The MC still keeps these friends at arms length emotionally.

"decides to exit stage left while he's going through a hard time because of her sudden ambition" - you really seem to have missed a lot in this AVN regarding both Jamie's ambitious career goals and her relationship with the MC.

Jamie is extremely upset over her own decision, not because she won't have a romantic relationship with her crush, but because she knows she's abandoning a good friend in his time of need. Nevertheless, she also has her own life and career to look after.

If and when Jamie has a change of heart, it will be a natural progression, not a soap opera scene in Ch 4, where she immediately changes her mind and beds Rockford.

Updated my compressed Android port of Leaving DNA with KoGo3's walkthrough mod to Episode 4.

Got some basic gestures loaded in: swipe up for save menu, swipe down to hide UI, swipe left to rollback and swipe right to skip. Save files are now stored in the Documents folder. This sometimes means that you may need to close and re-open the port after installing so the save folder is properly created.

Please let me know if you encounter any issues with the port and I'll see what I can do to get them sorted.

Re: Jamie. She gets the job offer late on day 42. She rejects Rockford on day 45. The last we see of her is during the morning of day 46. Day 47 - the date she had to accept the new position - comes and goes. The AVN then skips to day 51 and ends that evening. It seems unlikely Jamie's gonna have a sudden change of heart if she accepted the position, but who knows...
