There is an ingame explanation why she acts how she does. Mostly because she's rather neglected by her parents. Karin = prodigy, Kirin = waste. To make it short and simple.
Things suddenly make so much more sense, thank you! I'm seeign Kirin in a new light now.

Can someone tell me what would happen if you betray Rin by having "close" relationship with Chika before first beach event? And what Sana will talk about at beach event if you didn't spend night with Ayane in their room?

Should i know something to not miss stuff going forward? Like important affection/lust thresholds to keep in mind? or holding the progress like with Chika (to not betray Rin)? I think i remember seeing something while lurking in this thread about how you need to see all Yumi events first before Chika, or some stuff will be missed.

You will miss last Rin's event and when you admit your relationship with Chika Rin will cry

When Chika invites you to go to the Onsen with her, if you do that before doing the 4 Yumi events added in that update, Yumi will find you are dating Chika and that will influence a few scene (and you'll miss a scene with her later). If you do the Yumi events before going to the Onsen, you're fine.

Those two examples are the only times I can think of where the order in which you see scenes actually matters, and both are telegraphed by the game (Rin specifically asks you to let her have her shot first, and the game says "maybe you should spend some time with Yumi before going to the Onsen")

Normally, if you asked for help on the discord, people would try to point you in the right direction, but that was apparently too much help for Sel to bear. So now, if he catches you asking any questions about his "puzzles", he'll ban you instantly. A lot of people in the discord realize how crazy he is (at least the ones I have had direct messages with), but they tolerate it because there are a lot of fun people there. They just got to tip toe around the ego maniac that runs the show.
Damn that's even worse than when I was on there around a year ago. Dude's got problems

But why won't content packs be pirated too? Personally one of the reasons I stopped supporting the game because the creator kept complaining about F95 & piracy while making $100,000+/year from the game. It does not look good and did not make me feel like he appreciated my money, especially when I make a fraction of that. Just make a good product and be a likable person that people want to support. That's how it was in the early days.

However, the main reason I stopped supporting was because he removed access to character cards and scenes for use in Koikatsu because someone was using them in their own game. But who cares? Why take away from supporters over that? People trying to make money off other people's assets aren't going to be creative enough to make a decent game and most people won't support people stealing assets anyway. If anything, that's free advertisement for LiS.

He already got $115 from me over the years. Content packs (AKA exclusive paywalled content) makes me less likely to support or care about the game. I just want to be able to play the game then go play with the girls in VR using Koikatsu again. That's what kept me supporting the game in the first year. Then I lost my Koikatsu cards due to a HDD failure, was denied getting them back, and just didn't feel like my support was appreciated at all. So I unsubbed. The way I see it is I paid $115 for those cards and I don't have them anymore.

If Selebus still reads these messages, if you want to regain past supporters, try going back to your roots. Stop caring about piracy and all that other nonsense because you can't stop it. Everything gets pirated. Most people frown upon exclusive paywalled content so I don't think exclusive content packs are the answer. Just make the best product you can and give your supporters extra out of game goodies like koikatsu cards, koikatsu scenes, fan request images, gravure sets, discord roles and channels, early access, etc.

One of the big things in the content packs is the inclusion of explicit loli content, meaning that either the content packs or the game will get pulled. And that's his end goal l.

So people who make $100,000+/year have no right to be upset that they're losing thousands of dollars due to piracy? You wouldn't complain if you made $100,000+/year and I stole whatever amount of money you made over the 100K benchmark?

I would be upset something was being stolen from me, but as a software developer I would expect the majority of people are going to pirate my software. That goes double if I was creating porn content. Very few people are willing to pay for porn unless they have niche fetishes that aren't being addressed for free (which I would consider this game a niche fetish/market).

However, I absolutely wouldn't complain about piracy or income to supporters, fans, or any form of public forum. Whenever a developer gets involved in piracy/money discussion they almost always end up looking bad to everyone who isn't a hardcore supporter. There's also a huge difference between saying things like "I'm sad to see this leaked again, it was a lot of work. Please consider supporting me if you enjoy the game." and basically helping brew fanbase hate trains against potential future supporters.

I think everybody can agree the track record of adult games is horrible, so people pirating the game is to be expected, the fact this game is making this much money after 2 1/2 years probably puts it in the top .1% of indie porn games. Would he be making more if it wasn't for piracy? Absolutely. But so would literally every other software creator out there. It's a pointless thing to complain about as a creator.

Think about it this way. A person who makes $100,000/year walks into a room full of people who make $25,000/year. The person who makes $100,000/year then goes on a rant about how he's not making enough money. He's not being rude or talking down to anyone, however every other person in that room is still going to be very annoyed with that person. That's just how society works.

The fact is, Selebus is making plenty. Even if he was making half of what he currently is, it shouldn't affect anything and he should be living comfortably. His recent post to SS makes it seem like he's barely getting by with using phrases like "worryingly unsustainable ". It just feels scummy because if $100k/year is unsustainable then what the hell am I doing with my life? The guy needs a lifestyle change if that's the case because he clearly has way too many expenses.

Also, this makes me doubt the future of the game as a whole. If $100k/year is nearing unsustainable for him then what happens to the game when he goes down to $50k/year? I just don't see him maintaining $100k/year for the next 5+ years and that's seemingly how long the game's development will be with all this filler. Nothing sucks more than spending hundreds of dollars on a project just to wake up one day to another developer saying "Game is cancelled due to X/Y/Z".

For the record, I still think this is the best overall game on F95. I don't pirate it, I wait for the free version and play it with the walkthrough mod. I already paid over $100 for the game when it was on Patreon and already said what it would take for me to become a subscriber again. Existing Koikatsu Character Cards/Scenes. He could even release only a couple girls/scenes every month to keep people subscribed for longer. There's also THOUSANDS of fan request scenes already made that he could slowly release for VR users. Throw them on a $20/month tier, release like 2 scenes a week to keep subs up, huge long term incentive in my eyes, and it takes literally zero effort on his part (uses already made content).

ngl at least for the puzzles you really shouldn't need to be pointed towards or given the answers, they're literally sitting in labeled documents, with no attempt to hide them at all.

Not hard to get the answer from the below, and even the weird rice thing is just as easily found.
$ r4book86 = renpy.input("WHICH BIRD MAKES A BRIDGE???")
$ r4book86 = r4book86.strip()
if not r4book86.lower() in ["magpie"]:
play sound "imscared.mp3"
"I am punished for entering the wrong answer by a loud noise that mysteriously assaults my ear drums."
Lame he has the same attitude about stuff with event triggers though, those are a pain to track.

Agreed. I don't have high hopes this game gets completed. It's deliberately dragging on. I mean this game has been out for almost 3 years, and we barely know anything more than when the game started. Furthermore It's pretty difficult to get into as a new player, he's deliberately making the game less and less enjoyable to play, and he is making the content more extreme heading into the game's future. Not to mention he also cut android support and has no plans of adding it back. All of that is going to cause a loss of supporters over time.

If his former career before becoming a full time smut writer was lucrative enough to earn 6 figures without difficulty, then ultimately he'll probably have to fall back to that. Otherwise he'll probably need to make change to attract a larger audience or just get used to the idea of earning less.

I used to support this game as well. Then I started reading more and more of what Selebus posted/wrote and it was even worse in the discord. Way worse and that's without the fact that he started as a pirate himself. The number of extended breaks and delays is increasing and it feels like what we get varies depending a lot on how motivated he happened to be that month. He tries to act all high and mighty. Dude... you make cartoon porn for a living. His comments are obsessive and it's the reason why I stopped supporting it on patreon.

Same. I stopped supporting this over a year ago because of his weird outbursts about it. What's ironic is the fact that he's the one that put the game on this website in the first place, because he knew he'd benefit from it. And then after a certain amount of income every month -Shock horror- he flip flopped, and now thinks himself superior to everyone here. Hilarious.

And what makes it even more tardy is the fact that he thinks earning well over 100k per year to make the game is unsustainable. Seeing as he steals every single asset that he uses I'm not sure why he'd need more than that. But it is what it is.

After the first Maki lust invite event, she stops picking up the phone when I try to invite her over (I chose to have sex with her), any reason for that?

Edit: Never mind, it's Sunday now and she picked up the phone again.

I don't believe it's even out yet, he said "some time in November."

But even once it comes out, odds are good it won't be here long, if at all, since one of the elements of the content pack is a clear violation of Rule 7.
Then we just need someone to tell us where to get it without uploading it here, problem solved (for us).
