But when the latest update leaked here within minutes of going live for subscribers, he considered getting the game taken off the site entirely.

Ah, damn. I really like this game. Did he pay too much attention to criticisms and people who disagreed with his vision or actions? I don't believe that taking it off here would help financially. The only reason I know this exists is because of F95.
Also there are plenty of openly loli games on here, you just have to message one of the higher ups about it. I don't see why some is allowed but not all (so long as it's obviously not real or depicting realistic girls. Koi is uber anime so it should be fine)

Nah, his take on criticism is typically "fuck you, you're wrong, I'm making the game I wanna make."
But he's always been anti-piracy, and this is a piracy site, and his stance has typically been "if it leaks after 3 days, whatever, but sooner than that hurts,".
The latest update leaked within minutes of release. As in by the time I got the Discord notification of the release, it was already up here. He was furious -- and I really can't blame him. Instant leaks kinda undermine the main reason people sub (early access), and if that becomes the norm, it might cause a spike in dropped subs.

At this point Selebus would *love* F95 to remove the game as per rule 7 so he won't hold back on the loli. Since he also won't sacrifice the coherence of the story for that he's putting hardcore loli content in the (non-canon) care packages.
It seems to be working out for him, not that long ago his SS was around 7k5 now it's almost 10k so back to his old patreon numbers.

I am actually really really surprised (and proud, for some reason) he is yet to drop fullblown loli content into the game just so it would be taken down from here. Well, I guess because of sensei's endowment it will turn into a gore scene, and I dont really know about regulations on that one.
And about support...Damn, supporters get quite the perks already, full access to the community, full access to the site with all the requests (and that quite a lot of images), I would say that f95 doing good for the game publicity, if anything.

if LiL gets removed from here, i'd love to see the subscribestar change over the course of 6-12 months.
I gotta imagine that this site drives growth on subscribestar, for LiL. I know there are other ways to find adult games, but i don't think any of them hold a candle to f95zone. i certainly would have never found it without f95zone, and he's made some money of me before he started going massive edge-lord.

I'm only on Subscribestar because I found LiL here through a fan signature of Maya. Played the game, liked it, decided to support. If not for F95, I would not know LiL existed.

Me and mine are only thinking of buying merchandise thanks to f95. Honestly I think Selebus is locked into the cool category because of the game. However, and I've yet to really wrap my head around or make my mind surrounding any controversy, this drama reminds me of what you usually see with like egirls getting mad at pirates. It isn't sales lost. Pirates weren't ever customers *from the get go* but can support in other ways or eventually buy the content. It's free marketing and burning bridges will just hurt you. Sure they may be retarded and not "entitled" to an opinion but hey sometimes even a piece of shit can give good advice. Literal whos (ew that looks gross written) rising to making decent income not solely because they got lucky, but usually because a buncha pirate coves gave a fuck and spread the word. Just give in to the populism bromo, c'moooon.
Then again that shit with getting permissions stripped my moderators must've felt shitty.
Also it feels a bit bad seeing the bad rap F95 users have as coomers, and I've been on both sides of that myself. Games like this are explicitly not in the porn category imo. Then again I've dropped a game that was really well written because it was erotic in identity enough that characters permanently dropping a size turned me off the game lol. Then there are games that are both well written and super lewd. When I see coomers complaining or asking for more sex in LiL it's silly (though maybe it pisses others off and I'm just abnormally fine?) When I was called a coomer for wishing tits didn't get smaller, it felt frustrating because I wasn't *just* a coomer lol. And I felt like a fucking irritable nerd when in the last case advanced coomers were all "great now add giant sloppy fat sex, or tentacle rape, or scat" and the prudes were all "ugh, more sex? I truly don't know why people get on his case about this. If you are just starting out as a musician, you might play for free on a street corner or for very low pay at some dive, or give out free CDs (dating myself there), but once you get successful, you're not going back to that - you want to (and should) get paid. Nothing wrong with giving out free samples to get noticed, but also nothing wrong with moving on once you've made it.

I don't think most people here would have cared if he just quietly stopped interacting on the site. But he got hostile, and that started the back and forth. It's like a successful musician coming back to the corner where they started and heckling the people there.
And with how much both sides harp on each other, I don't think anyone has moved on lol.

Does anyone have the exe file for the windows version as the compressed version doesn't have it?
It's more like the musician coming back to the street corner and yelling at someone who runs by with a shoplifted copy of his CD.
He has an abrasive personality for sure, but getting mad over people stealing something that they could have for free in two weeks anyways is something I sympathize with.

Ngl even I wouldn't know of this game if it weren't for f95zone and its apparent popularity.
Oh, definitely you shouldn't expect more from a pirate site, but there aren't a lot of other options for this kind of product. What would be useful to developers would be a site where you could get, for free, the first three chapters/releases/whatever of the game, to try it out, see if you like it, and then if you wanted more you could go to Patreon or SS and support them, but you couldn't get the whole 15-20 chapters for free, which is what you get here, and why it makes people like Selebus (legitimately, IMO) mad or frustrated. But the existence of F95 means that would never happen (why get only three chapters for free when you can get the whole damn game here).
And I am 100% sure that most, maybe all, of the people who claim that F95 is great for developers because it makes people aware of their games would never stop pirating games here and instead go to a "get the first three chapters free" site, because they don't actually care about something that would help the developer - they just want the game for free (which, again, they could do legitimately for LiL if they simply waited two weeks).
