My guess is it's taking a shot at how many people are getting diagnosed with ADD, ADHD, or some other mental problem like an episode of South Park did for ADD (Season 4 Episode 3). I personally have ADHD, among other things, and before people really knew what it was or medication was really developed for it I would lash out at people without thinking (usually more physically than verbally, but both probably fall under bullet point 5, 6, and/or 8).
Temptation doesn't just have to be masturbation or something else sexual. From the Oxford Dictionary, temptation means "the desire to do something, especially something wrong or unwise." Cursing is still technically something wrong, even if many people don't care anymore, even more so if used excessively. TV still bleeps words like fuck. Movies automatically get a PG-13 rating if fuck is even used once, R if used twice (or if there's 1 instance used in a sexual way).
