I don't know why but looking back on it the mc family should be safe. no smart organization would corrupt a employees family they would be off limits. 1 to instill loyalty 2 as a threat to betrayal. If you look at mob stuff you don't f with family even the goverment uses this for the army. A organization like this would not survive if it went around tortured and enslaved employees family and loved ones 9 out 10 times it will be a cycle of having to deal with constant employees fighting back then dealing with said person and hiring a new one over and over again. That would not only cost money but a annoyance to the organization and a minor threat of exposure. Are the few girls in a employees immediate family that needed or worth it when they have a whole town. There are plenty of fish in the sea. I don't know if it is just me but it was just bugging me.

The main path choice changes the dynamic. Please, no spoilers... But it gives purpose to the issue you have a problem with.
In normal circumstances, yes... I completely agree that blackmailing or harassing an employee's family members like that would be a negative, immoral, contradictory thing to do...
But in the protagonist's situation, things are dynamically different. When the mask comes off, it is supposed to explain everything without literally spelling it out for us.
This game has a lot of subtext, subliminal concepts, and jokes that some people don't/won't get.
While it should not be taken seriously, it does contain serious topics like:
Bullying, prejudice based on character looks, prostitution, drugs that enable mind control/hypnosis, social commentary, poverty, moral and political corruption...
People expecting a simple seduction, corruption, sex game might be a bit disappointed or confused by the amount of thought that has been put into every render and scene discussion.
Lewd Town Adventures does have humor and subtlety that we have discovered a lot of people don't seem to catch on to as quickly as we presumed they would.
We are doing our best to both improve upon these confusions and continue the level of development we have so far ingrained within this game.

Please be patient. We are writing and rendering the new 0.9 update as you read this. We wish to make it awesome, fun, funny, dramatic, and worth the wait, so please be patient. Many of the cliffhangers will be resolved. With the new plot split of PIMP vs HAREM - we have to write many scenes twice to reflect a gradual change in MC outlook.

I don't agree with your post. This game does have scope and is not slow at all. A lot of thought has been put into it and the story is about being conflicted and walking both routes, so the player can make up his mind on what path he will take later on.
Comparing games is fine and all but that guy has been doing what he does for over 5 years, while this game came out about 9 months ago. It's comparing apples to oranges.
I just wanted to make a cool game that was different from other games. I just started writing and doing stuff and I got better at everything as the Lewd Town Adventures progressed. Basically, the whole game started as a mix of south park/one piece/leisure suit larry and some other games like corruption but along the way, a lot of extra stuff got inserted and made the whole thing more unique.
The dark and light paths cater to two different types of players so that's how I solved the issue that you describe above.
This game is mostly about the story and when I play it I absolutely love the game and the world that has been created.
I think in the end that's what counts. I could have focused on a few fetishes, and a few girls but that would take away my fun/vision of how the game should be. I like to mix things up, I like that the story keeps growing and keeps getting better, I like the huge cast of characters. I like all of the different fetishes, I like the fact that the game is funny, happy, and has some dark/drama put in there to make the game more interesting. IMO you can't have high highs without low lows.
With the recent addition of the Harem/Pimp paths the game will take two vastly different directions. It's somewhat crazy to do that since it takes a lot of time but I think it gives the game appeal and makes things truly interesting.
In any case, my feelings are pretty much in that Subscribestar post.
I like to balance things out and I am proud of what the has become and is becoming.
Half of this game is a satire/parody/humor. Quite a few players don't seem to get that and take things very serious.
Making a only sweet vanilla game or only a bdsm/trainer sort of game means me not creating anything at all.
The coming version will continue most character paths, a better-looking GUI, sound effects, and a ton of other stuff.
All done for fun/free/a passion by two devs that just want to make an entertaining game for people to enjoy.

weird question but could there be an option to have the characters who didn't originally wear makeup take it off? Mainly talking about Mia but I'm pretty sure this applies to a couple others. I just liked her original look

Not sure, I already got my hands full with lots of stuff concerning the game.
Although it's not very difficult to do, it's very time-consuming so probably not. Maybe on the good paths if enough players feel the same way.
