Buying furniture has nothing to do with what's available. You can add anything whenever you want.

Apparently, as the Furniture item, that was bought, was not with the items, that the "Edit Room" action supplied.

And , that's the point, Buying the Furniture, at one of the Merchants, should lead (eventually), to the item being able to be placed in one's home.

It all has to do, with making the game feel more "fleshed" out , and more that just a "Fuck-Fest" on steroids !

I noticed to ability to change clothes color is a bit random. Wasn't able in one save for a while, then suddenly was when I tried.

Just made a Male character, 1st time since before the DAZ models were integrated into the game.
Damn, he's ugly, and with-out try'n to make him ugly, just try'n to make him a plain/common guy.
Looks like a guy living down an alley in Skid row, or maybe a Porn Film director, not some one in an Office Business, ya know, like a Boss of said Business Company (cringe).

Having some minor clothing problems. His shoes don't fit his feet, and I didn't modify them one bit ! The only shoes he can wear, without the feet showing through, are the sneakers , and their color doesn't match his Business Suit !

Hmmm, the more I think about his style of character, he may make a "good" college professor . . . . . . . . .
( ya know, shaping the "minds" of young female students, while his hands "fondle" their bodies, soon pumping them full of sper . . . erm, Knowledge ! yeah, that's it knowledge , pumping them full of knowledge ! )

Well, after the initial clothing of the character, I hit "Finish", next screen is the "Choose A City" , so I proceeded to press the "ESC" key ( as out-lined in the Game Guide by Apo_Icarus ) . . . nothing happens, tried a few more times, still nothing, still on the same page, it didn't proceed to the "ESC Screen" as is explained in the Guide.

Next, tried pressing the " HOME" key, as suggested by Vinfamy :

Home does the same thing as Esc by the way. It's sort of a backup option

Well, that didn't work either. (and before you ask, YES, I have removed NickNo's Mod Installer ), so it seems that's not the problem.

Right so you design your character....then you have the city select screen where you tick randomise unknown buildings and once you have selected the city you will have started the game, when you press ESC you will get a main menu or as I called it and people have now (either in support or to take the piss, can never tell with my fellow pirates) started to as well the 'ESC screen'.

No MOD should conflict with my basic guide so I have no idea why you were having problems with ESC.

Yeah . . . . Maybe it's my Keyboard, maybe the "ESC" key is malfunctioning ?

But than, Why would the " HOME " key not work also . . . I don't think I've hardly even used that key, ever, and certainly, not as much as the "ESC" key.

After finishing(Confirming) the "Character Edit Stats Screen", I tried again, the "ESC" key . . . Presto ! it worked !

Now I'm looking at the screen, as entitled "ESC Screen " on page 4, of Apo_Icarus's LifePlay Guide !

Query:
Wasn't there before ( as in an earlier game version), a way to "call-up" a list (in Map Mode) of like buildings, example "Coffee Houses", Restaurants", "Department Stores", " Hotels", "Motels" , etc. ?

Anybody remember the "Command" for that ? Some type of "Search" feature on/for the City Map Mode ?

Currently, I'm adding a "Dungeon" to my House (That I bought, for a very reasonable Price). It said it would take " a few days to complete, it's been 4 days, thus far ! While Waiting, I got the "construction" started on my "Harem_House_Room", which will be "finished_Soon", as was written on the "Construction order contract" . . . . we shall see.

Then I preceded to "Edit Building", thinking it would allow me, as the owner, of said Building, to Expand & add More rooms to the building to become "Apartments", to rent to the local "young-female-College-Students" , Thus, creating a small starter "business" . Well, the building changed from a "large, one-story, square House, into a "5-story" building . As of yet, I'm trying to figure out how to add those rooms, as supplied by Vima, specifically, the One_Room_Apartment & the "Shared Apartment " !

Upon opening the "Edit Room", this time I noticed you can "Resize" the room ! So, naturally, I'd like to know, How Big can I " Resize the room to ? ( the default size , seems to be 8 x 8 ), so CAN I resize the "room" to say, 16x16, or 24x24, or 32 x 32 ?

I'll find out , one way or another .

About my Rooms... i must update the most of them and a few will be deleted.
But i want to wait for a few Game updates to see if there comes more NPC-animation for the Furniture...
Because it was already strange to see a NPC sitting in the Door or lying in the Wall.
Then i will look and test which Furniture is used by the NPC's, after that i can say if i try to edit the Rooms or if it is better to build them from the scratch.

I have great respect for the work you have done creating these rooms ! I'm currently working on a 16 x 16 room, that I'm trying to make into a "shared apartment", for my present character, and his little Sister, when she comes to join him. The "sleeping" area is pretty much done,(though one can never be sure), next is the "Bathroom area". Having a bit of problems there due to the walls not being able to be "painted" in small sections, only the whole wall. What would be nice , is if I could "integrate" the bathroom form one of your rooms, into my room, since you already 'licked' that problem . (My experience comes for several years of The Sims Games, building houses, re-decorating, adding-additions to already built houses, etc., But the "Tools" in that game series, are well beyond, what is available here, yet one must remember, The Sims Games have a Whole Crew working those problems . . . . this game has only Vinfamy (and various, talented, modders)

In one corner, of the half of whats left of the room, will be the Mini-Kitchen/Eating area. Moving along that wall to the other corner, will be a "Living-room" area, then will come a small Office/Study/ Library Area for his work, and her "studies" .

At the least, that's the Plan .

Actually you can have a "living-room" , and usually a Bathroom, both which sorta work like an "instance" as found in an on-line RPG game , you can be in /use both of them, but they are not connected to the Bedroom.

You also can't modify them and are only in under certain circumstances so far. Be nice if you were in the kitchen to eat/cook, living room for living room activities (watching TV, etc.) Especially if you could mod them. Not much point of the objects for those rooms if you cant. I suspect that's coming soon.

This is why i was using "rescaled (Tables)" as Walls and/or Wall panels.
You could dismantle my room in the editor and see how I did it there. (as example)
It's a bit fiddeling to place a "Table" on that way and you must play with the scaling values, but it's not difficult to do so.

I have never played Sims so much.
I think it was Sims 2, what i have played on the PC from my little Brother.
Building a House in this Game was fun... then I started looking for Games where you can build more and bigger.

Yeah Lifeplay has only Vinfamy as a dev, but i think he did a great Job with this Game.
Okay the new (NPC use the Furniture) update has made sure that i got more grey Hair.
This makes the Room building part a bit harder, but i like this Update so far.

I'm very happy about the Modders who keep adding Content to the Game or editing the Content.
I hope they will keep up the great Work and i hope also to see more Mods for Lifeplay.

P.s. If you need help with the Editor, let me know that and i will try to help.

I install the Dungeon MOd 3.5. It ran great at first but after 5 transfers to the Harem, the prisoner in the dunguen don't reset their fear. so it's imposible to transfer to harem. Is there a fix?

The modder, has several of their mods there, and requested "feed-back" be posted there. ( though you may still get some answers here too), just informing you, in case you didn't know that the modder had their own thread for their mods .

( and there you'd have seen a statement by the modder, that LifePlay ver, 3.1 might break his mods )

New small mod: Weight & Fitness

If you eat it will make you gain weight (altering your appearance)
Do sport and you'll loose weight (altering your appearance)
This works also with every companion.

At home you have a new action to check your weight. At the moment the values can differ a bit from the appearance, because the weight slider will grow in steps.

It changes only the heavy slider for male & females at the moment.
Weight gain factor at the moment is 0.3 per meal, and weight loss factor 0.25 for every time you do sports.
This means you have to do 15 times sport or eat sth to see a visible difference.

Compatible to all my other mods!

Just curious : Is there any "Sexual Encounters included as part of this mod ?
( as in, not counting the "general encounters", one might trigger, just being in an area, that probably has random "sex encounters" already)

OR, Is it just, adding "game-play mechanics", to the game, type mod ?
