What is the purpose of buying restraints and harnesses? Why would I willfully buy and put one on when it prevents me from attacking anything? I feel like I'm missing something.

Yeah, if only i can use it to capture slaves and deliver them to the trafickers for money. Right now there's no practical use for it aside from trap.

The keyboard layout instructions need to be made universal so people don't have to google pictures of keyboards to get trough the tutorial. Maybe call shift key shift key instead of up arrow? I think someone has figured out the solution to the problem already.

Some keyboards don't have Shift Keys with the word "Shift" printed on them. Some of them just have an Up arrow.
Perhaps is to take the middle ground and do something like this:
Use SHIFT(⇑) + Z to equip/use something from the ground.

Eccma has already changed it to this. If you don't like just an arrow, pay him and update game to newest version.

Can anyone do a step by step on how to change the Palette? The guides teach you how to make them. But its confusing as hell on how to "USE" them. Thanks in advance

you have to do his quests.
Before attending Milo's invitation, go to the inn in Doom Fortress and talk with Adam in the first room. He'll give you a quest to steal the fortress sergeant medal, then another to steal a musket from a castle/tower next to the Fortress.
If you succeed, you'll be able to spare Adam afterwards

Put json file into /ModScripts/PaletteChanger/ folder. As soon as json file is in that folder and there are no errors, it's already active.
There are already moot.json, PreDeepone.json, TrueDeepone.json files there as base game, they change color of lona if you are moot/deepone, so base game actually relies on that mod to work properly. They have a condition written in them so they activate only when lona is of certain race.
Formats for files are in the end of my post that's in Cainane's signature which also includes 2 steps you need to do to create recolor. There are also some palette changes in /ModScripts/PaletteChanger/unused .jsons/ made by Cyan which can be copied one folder above to be activated.
There is currently no user-friendly UI for it. I'm thinking about making it, but it's on early stages yet and I'm quite busy until at least end of january.

Maybe I'm an idiot but how do I reset the map? Game still says my save is outdated even though I can load and save my file.

I haven't updated my game since early December, so things might have changed, but anyhow...
I usually try not to spend money if I can help it, especially when it comes to keys and food. If you're not planning to sleep in the inn, it's just taking up weight, which means potentially less loot. If you're rushing the alchemy trait, I'd take the cemetery quest first and hire the cowboy (takes 1 soup). It's much closer to the inn and easy enough for the cowboy to solo the quest by himself, saving you the trouble of eating as long as you don't help him fight. The skeletons also drop "Dirty" equipment. Keep at least one of each for sneaking quests. I also recommend taking the cannibal trait, since you'll run into human enemies often. Once you start being able to cook, keep a wooden club with you at all times and don't bother buying food again.

I'm at level 45, but my Lona isn't really optimized for fighting. Maybe one day I'll try Hell or Doom mode.
If you're willing to spend 4k trade points for a round trip to Fishtopia, Bubba's brother (I think?) sells hunting armor. Can't remember how much it costs though. It has the same defense value as the starting armor, but gives you a decent boost to survival and scoutcraft instead of a minor boost to attack.
