If every new piece of content feels like a side story to/distraction from the narrative we thought we were following that doesn't speak too highly of your design document.

You've put a lot of story balls in the air so far in a fairly content-light game. People wondering when we're going to get to the fireworks factory/titular princess shouldn't be a surprise.

If it's a big update, it will take him a long while to complete since he is a one man coding team who implements the game bit by bit like all Renpy coders. As he said before, stay patient have faith or come back in a few months and try other things.

There is no such thing in the game. The closest would be scenes with Belle, but that's just her being in miniature compared to you.

It probably feels like a side story because we are waiting for monthly updates. This game is not supposed to be episodic so playing this way probably breaks the pacing.

Bingo. We are moving forwards, but not always directly. These last two updates have been more about moving "diagonally", perhaps more sideways than forwards. That's because the characters I bring in at this point are part of the foundation that will come together over time, but to the player, it's not immediately obvious how. I'll say this: Events in this last update are going to be of massive significance to at least two of the existing characters over time, but you can't really see this yet. It will make more sense in hindsight.

This is a non-linear game. Each new update isn't supposed to necessarily build upon the previous one, but instead expand the overall structure. Even the "main story" regarding the Princess isn't linear. The player can end up missing huge chunks of it. It's all about putting together the pieces, both for me and for the players.

Okay, it was worth the long wait. Now i'm just wondering if the Crone is the princesses sister in a magical disguise. Probably going to skip a few updates again tho. Good job @Belle Good story, nice visuals

Interesting story and characters. The game even has some stats to take into account for progression in scenes. The models and renders are quite divers and unique compared to all the other Ren'py games out there which makes it a nice change of pace. Haven't noticed any bugs either so that is good as well. I recommend keeping an eye on this one.

WOW! Just played the scene where MC and Belle see the woman by the river. Really wanted to see the Fey Court, so I totally missed it my first time through.
Belle and the MC seem to be finding ways to get closer even without the use of size altering magic. Great story development Belle.
Gotta wonder if MC looking at the other woman made Belle a little jealous, just hurt her ego, or both?

After that particular scene she will leave, but in the future more scenes will be added for sure and she probably won't leave in most of them.
