The reason I'm going to stop playing this is because the character personalities fit the art. With Koikatu, the Dev could give them truly unique facial expirations that fit their personalities and the context of the conversation. You can't do that with HS2. That just killed the cuteness and personality of the game for me.

i enjoyed the original artwork. definitely happy to see an update to one of my favorite games though. im going to give it a try

Bottom line I'm just making this game for fun and sharing it here. It was stated explicitly that the BuyMeACoffee had nothing to do with this game, but for a future project, so I really do feel like I have free rein to do what I want with this game. If sensibilities are being offended by my artistic choices, then I might suggest not taking a silly game so seriously.

Might I suggest re-rendering some of the very low-res images?
Perhaps also brighten them up as you do so? Because they are both overly color-saturated and very dark.
Also, in a few places, the characters call MC "Mr. Parnell" or something... instead of the custom name. Skye is named as well, instead of the custom name in a few places... Ditto with Peach in the Library...

TBH, I'm not a fan of the drastic change to the physique of the models. I know it's cumbersome and challenging to convert the KK models into HS models. However, most of them went up a minimum of 2 cup sizes, which makes them look a bit top-heavy.

Certainly, you, the DEV should feel free to do whatever you like with YOUR game, but as an avid fan and promoter whenever anyone asks about games with the kinks, fetishes, and content of LLD, I would hope these constructive tips would be considered in future updates/revisions.

Oh, and finally - I immediately turned off TRANSITIONS after the first few in the HS section. Having what feels like a dead slow 10 second+ fade in and fade out is just obnoxious and tedious beyond reason to me.

Respect, my man. I must say, to this day, this passion project of yours has been one of the best stuff to come out of this site, do what you want. I've been following your updates on twitter (though not an alt, so I wouldn't risk people seeing me interacting there :p), and I'd say that you could polish the HS2 renders a bit more, (hint hint, most of the effort goes into lighting the scene well. it's tiresome but nets wonderful results), but take the project to where your heart so desires. Keep it up.

Will we ever see ch1-7 converted to hs2? I don't mind the art change, it's just very.. jarring, and i would like to play the whole thing through in one style.

It is the Silly in this world that needs to be taken seriously because there are so few sources of silly joy.

While you say that buying you a coffee is for your next project people do not support something that is not there and may never be there. We supported what you had put out until you got to a point that we do not want to fallow for whatever reason, for me I really do not like HS2 art and feel KK is a much better engine for this type of thing.

I hope this will teach you something and you take it with you into your future project who knows I may like that project even if you use HS2 however I will not support it while it is in development because of this project had the out of left field art change.

I am not the end all be all. I am just a person who liked the first 7 chapters recommended this to people who ask for something fun and silly while scratching that itch. Devs have asked why they have lost players because so many do not say why they have left. I am telling you and there will be others that leave because of the same reasons.

Betsy was not a planned daughter and just sort of happened, so there was no renaming coding for her originally. To rename her you need to restart the game where she was named or open the labels.rpy with Atom or something and rename her there.
What I mean is that if you start a new game and get to the part in the Gym where you can name Betsy. If you just press Enter to give her the Default of Betsy, she isn't given a name and is credited as a blank space in every conversation, and when April meets Marianne she is called "'s mom". So that is something you may want to fix.

Ok. I will download today this new version, and rush it to see what it is exactly about this discussion. I mean, I saw few new renders, but I need to see how it looks like in a game. For know I will say that I understand the reason to change art style and that for now I prefer the old one, and that I'm afraid of this change in a middle of game so that's why I was delaying to try this version.

As was mentioned earlier in the thread, I'm an "odd duck" and while I am sympathetic to your disappointment in the new art style, I'm not going to change it back. I'm a niche person in a world that seems to value extreme conformity now. Since this is indeed a passion project, I'm not concerned about how many people view it.

Yes, I could have redid the Koikatu cards and continued with the old style, but the available Koikatu assets were running dry and I saw an opportunity to take the VN in a new direction with an abundance of new assets. I like the idea of jarring the audience like this because that's the type of art I personally enjoy, and that's the kind I'm going to produce. If I lose people along the way then so be it. I'll still have my artistic integrity and will be able to continue. Nothing is sadder to me than an artist that caves in to peer pressure.

In fact I could even say that you were warned. As indicated on the second splash screen, this game is based in the Sinfest universe and I pointed out that this artist took his comic strip in a whole new direction that alienated many of his fans. I then applauded his artistic integrity.

Anyway, thank you for your feedback. I hope you change your mind and give the new art style a chance. The second half of this VN is going to be wild.

my biggest complaint about this game is the necks(mostly) bending and turning in ways that make them look completely broken
If I have to break a few character limbs to present the scene I want, then so be it.

Seriously, are there any of these in the update? If so, post the CGs so I can see where I went wrong.

And you should stop laughing, fuckface BillyJoeBob. I know you pointed this out on the discord as well. I might just have a problem... o_O

so my question is do you have any plans on redoing ch 1-7 cause i would like to see them in hs2 art instead of kk art
