How interesting. Just finding this game now and it looks amazing, but the story behind its development may be even more interesting. Coming from A Wife and Mother, we're ready to go nuclear- so I can't imagine what we'd do if the dev went silent (or largely silent) for months at a time.

Whether the F95 policy on classifing a game as "abandoned" is perfect or not, it seems like if a game gets into the territory where a good-faith effort could classify it as abandoned then there is a serious issue. It doesn't seem as though the policy is all that rigorous, so if a dev can't bother to give substantial/relevant updates then they really have no one to blame but themselves. Like I said, coming from AWAM, we go months (and MONTHS) between releases, but the dev does regularly communicate on Patreon and the game has never caught an "abandoned" tag. If Kamo is a reasonable person they would look at the tag and reflect that maybe they could be doing things better.

See.. The only thing is, they don't care what tag is over here.. As much as I love f95, this site is literally for pirating the stuff they charge for.. So, as long as the patrons are happy, why should they worry about the tags or discussion here

Well this is probably the biggest adult/porn game forum on the internet which is free promotion for them and if it says 'abandoned' on it, it could effect them receiving future patrons.. just my opinion.

So if you don't update for over a year or so like Estate Dominate, but you do occasionally post something about the hard work you do and errors you made with a picture you're not put on hold. But if someones updated his game this year, but is't posting because he has an illness it's a on hold tag.....

Don't get me wrong i hope both games keep going on, but the tags are sometimes a bit off imo

I think that better is to create new tags here as "Fast", "Mediocre", "Slow" defined by speed of producing updates and the "Abandoned" tag prolonged from 3 months to at least 6 without any word from dev. But as you seen the T Trick's reaction, he really don't care about us (same as many other devs).
why would they? its a pirate forum. sure many people here find new games over it but still most come here to play the games for free and they want to make money.

Yes and many of them started their project here and continuously asked peoples of F95 community, what they think about their game. After game gets some attention, they totally "forgot" about peoples they asked at start and don't want to see them, because they are "pirates" of course. Isn't that a hypocrity? But that is their problem. :)
It always cracks me up when a dev comes here and starts saying that the majority of their patreon's don't even come from F95.
When in fact all of their patreon's pirated their game atleast once.
Not that this is the case.

I read the "Abandoned" tag and I was surprised.
Then I went to the dev's Patreon page and I felt sad for him/her because this game is not getting the economical recognition it deserves.
Finally, I felt a sense of guilt: I select very carefully the projects I support (mainly because of budget restrictions) and I've thought once or twice about supporting LSS, but in the end, I didn't.

I think this game is amazing, one of the best here, and usually, there's a strong correlation between game appreciation on this forum and Patreon revenues. I really can't understand what went wrong with LSS, but I don't think f95 is the one to blame. This forum is a great flagship for devs, probably their most strategic point of touch with their clients. It's not a pirate forum, it's a long wide highroad where they must place their billboards. When there's a quality product and there's an interesting market, I always assume the missing point is a proper commercial strategy.

Someone said they got Covid but not any dev.
And that was said when everyone was worrying about the game because there were no news for almost three months...

The discussion is about not saying a single thing, not because of being ill. Because i think they should say on patreon to the people that pays every month that it will be delayed and some estimation about it (and sooner the better). Not by saying it on a normal conversation on Discord after 3 months of no news and only telling that if in F95 says it´s abandoned does not mean is real. But again no news or some public message.

Given they said the same on "duo" and how it ended i won´t have any hope for this game.

They don´t have to come here to post anything but they should do it on discord (if you say it is not for that then i don´t know why they made it) and mainly on Patreon because as you say "they want to make money" and I don´t know for how long will people support a dev that stays silent for months but keeps making money (stopped billing but only last month) and after what they did with "Duo" (That was the reason i didnt have hope for this game or dev... sad thing is I was satanting to think i was wrong and even deleted my angry post on f95 on "Duo" that i made when i quitted from their pateron to never come back).

This is not the reason, seems that got Covid last month and it added to the previous delay (or at least it was told last month and not before).
They have goals where they can tell suppoters how much time between updates and quality they should expect. And in the case they need urgently more patreons they can post it as a reason of delaying next updates and come to places like this one or discord telling it and making polls or something to attract patreons.

That's my feeling. They don't need to address the status of the game here, but virtual silence on their Patreon account is totally unacceptable. I have a teeny tiny patreon and if I got a week without some sort of update or comment I feel guilty. To go months without a serious update is a great big red flag. Maybe there's a reason, but it's hard to fathom why they couldn't take 5 minutes to post a status update. If they can't do that then something is seriously wrong.

I understand your point, but I've been lured in via the free play of some really good games, and have become a patron of more than a few of them *because* I had the free "taste" of the game. Devs who look down on these sites are shooting themselves in the foot, as those same sites often do a lot of the marketing and promotion of their game.

Unless they are scamming their patrons or failing to read their players' wants in a game; in that case, they are headed for Povertytown, population: them. Some devs have rl developments that get in the way of their game work - marriage, babies, death, etc. - but some put the games on the back burner bc the learning curve for making these games is VERY steep and just...lose interest. Most are probably not intending to scam their patrons, always intending to come back, but rarely do.

I guess what I am saying here is that while some of the devs are utterly selfish assclowns, most aren't. Give them a bit of a break. We've all had games just...end, but that's nothing new. We've seen the same thing with books, movies and tv series. Grow up a little.

What the fck are u on about?? I know that the dev has some health issues , bcse of which they are late.. What I told about this site is the truth.. Once the game gets popular they shouldn't really care about what's going on here.. I have been in their discord, and they don't like discussing about stuff that's going on here.. A. K. A, they don't care if it's marked abandoned here
