I just want someone to make a mod to streamline the gameplay and remove all the convoluted aspects/requirements for progress and interaction with the characters. Is that so much to ask for?

So turn it into a visual novel? that's what you are asking for?
That's not the vision the dev has for the game and personally i think that would make it...boring

Can't remember who posted this or where, but here is a copy, plus my own notes:

Give her the topics Yes Sir
(which you get from watching bondage porn and a few other ways)
and Objectification
(which you get from smacking Gina's ass in the bathroom on Brother Fucker and Brother Crusher AT).

Note on watching Bondage Porn: The Yes Sir topic is considered a rare bonus topic, so grinding it can take quite some time, sadly I can't on the top of my head remember the other ways to get it, but know I did have alternative way to get it.

For Gina, spank her ass when she cleans the bathroom in her normal clothes, not while she wears the maid uniform.

Alternatively, if you have the Sexual Conquest topic and she has 60 lust, get Diane drunk on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.
Deny giving Diane what she wants after bringing her to her room, go back to your room and beat off to incest porn.
Make sure you have the Sexual Conquest topic in your topic bar. so you can choose the function to really pound her and show her who's boss, which naturally would lower her own dominance and make her more submissive. This lowers it quite a bit.

Another possibility (not saying this is optimal, just one to be aware of) is Aggression, because:

At least one of the tags on the topic must be an interest to effect Dominance score.

Another possibility (not saying this is optimal, just one to be aware of) is Aggression, because:

Just keep in mind that, like Dominance/Submission, Aggression has to be an interest of theirs for it to effect the Dominance score.

Aggression doesn't need to be an interest to effect their Dominance score. If the topic has Aggression(or Competitive) and a tag that the character has an interest in you will get make their Dominance stat go down.

ok trying to drop the mom's dominance score 4 points at a pop when I manage to get her in my room after the noon drunk is just ridiculous. She's currently sitting over 50 dominance. For those saying just use dominance tags in conversation, that does not work unless the person you're talking to has dominance as an interest and, unfortunately, repressed mom doesn't.

read up on my posts. if you have a topic that has a Dominance tag and a tag that she has an interest, it will bring her Dominance down. topics that i know of that will work are Yes Sir and Objectification

also if you have a topic with Agressiveness or Competitive and a tag that she has an intrest in, it will also bring down her Dominance.

You can add Dominance as a secondary interest.

Use Dominance tags in conversations until her xp is 100%.
On her character sheet, under her portrait, click the 'Filter Results' bar. (This gives you her full list of possible secondary interests, instead of just the ones that'll advance her AT).
Look for an interest that include Dominance. Use the old icon to promote that interest.
Use Dominance tags in conversations until her score is low enough.
Then promote the interest(s) you needed to advance to the new AT.

I've seen this mentioned as a possible, intermittent, bug.
But I've never encountered it myself. So don't know of a work around.
Only thing I can think to suggest: Did you try it at 0100 instead? (I think the event can be done then too)
