Well I found an exploit for +1 to all 3 stats every day 
If you choose not to have sex with Katie after beating her in a spar you can challenge her again every day, and not only that but it doesn't move time forward unless you try to challenge her a second time and she plays the draw dialogue, without requiring you to buy whisky.

Book 1 is day 1-115, and tells the story of how you meet the characters and fall in love.
Book 2 is day 116-194, and tell the story of the war
Book 3 is day 195->288 (ish), and tell the story of the Return

Yeah, heard about this bug; it lets you access Merlin's tower from the overlook before it's supposed to be unlocked. I'll fix that in the next public build. You should be able to use quick jump (or sleeping) to get out.
It only shows if you at least hatched the egg from Draco's questline in Book 2. At that point, it'll show up somewhere (randomly) if you enter the Elsewhere map when you're not in the middle of a conversation moment.

The only gambling in this game is which monster you encounter on the paths and what they drop
The cards are there more as a scoring mechanism in the non-twitch combat system. Basically a high poker hand can play a higher level effect than a weaker (but more common) hand. You can strategize around this. You will often have a choice of several different poker hands to chose from, and you can chose the one that aligns with your strategy and the situation, e.g. playing a low level stun could be much more important than a big damage play, if the monster's next attack is its hellbeam.
It's a unique and surprisingly rich combat system, but it suffers from a lack of common references. Yes it is a 'card game' and uses poker 'valuations', but that's all it has in common with poker, and most card games. It has 'gems' you put into 'slots' but has nothing else in common with gems or bejeweled.
Personally I'm 'ok' with card games from a casual 'pass the time' standpoint, but I find most 'card combat' and 'gambling' games insipid, and have card games on my exclude list. I wouldn't even SEE this game normally as a result, and that would be unfortunate because the things about card and gambling games that I don't enjoy aren't here and the things I find appealing in an AVN are.

Since I just picked up a new graphics card (finally got around to buying a 3090) I figured I'd add some new animations to Book 1's opening act, for fun.
Pushed to the beta branch of Steam now, if you want to check it out, it's mostly adding to day 2 (walk in animation), the two first homeworks and the first date.
