Game is great, I just can't stand the MC. Can't stand the looks, the behavior. In book 1 he is bearable, but keeps getting worse. So different from the MC's in PL and SL. They are funny, sometimes clever, sometimes silly and often humble. In this game i keep cheering for the antagonists.

He certainly is flawed. I just started Book 2 myself and am just waiting for the other shoe to finally drop and for the MC to actually face some consequences for his behavior. He is in dire need of some humbling.

Blackmail has consequences or did you miss that part.

I have no idea why some players don't like MC.

It shouldnt be that big a mystery. He's arrogant, petty and quick to anger. These are all generally unlikeable traits.

Regarding the Blackmail, the MC himself admits he overreacted and that overreaction pretty much leads to

All good characters have flaws; in MC's case Rage is the fundamental flaw, and it's pretty deeply tied into the story itself.
Oh I know! I'm not saying it's bad writing or anything. There's nothing wrong with making an unlikeable protagonist, and I'm still very much invested in the story.

Like I said I'm just looking forward to when the other shoe finally drops and he really starts facing the consequences of his flaws in a way that leads to change/growth in his character.

The Greeks and Romans firmly established human qualities in their gods and heroic characters - both good and bad. IMO this is one of the most relatable characters of all the MC's in the hundreds of AVN's I have read. One of the most relatable qualities about him is his maleness; a young man who actually behaves like a young man and his transition into and acceptance of, adult male behavior and finally godlike qualities. If you are really paying attention, you have noticed that this whole story is a celebration of masculinity. I suppose, then, I should not be surprised that would draw the attention of a few snowflakes crying "toxic masculinity".

Whether you are talking about the emotional or the physical, if you've never been hit, you've never been hurt. If you've never been hurt, you've never been angry. If you've never been angry, you don't know what rage is and if you tell me you don't know rage I'll say you're a liar. It's possible that will open the flood gates for you... Jus' Sayin'

Frankly I like the protagonist a lot. Has a few flaws but they only make him more likable if anything. For the vast majority of the time he handles things perfectly. Sarah was the only real mistake.

It really speaks for the creator how different mc comes across. Maybe that alone is enough to make him a good main character. For some he is very masculine, for me, the total opposite. I am very happy that i get to look forward for him to get his comeuppance. I was stuck at the end of Book 2 and could not get myself to continue, but this might be the little pick-me-up i need for that.

I do think MC at the first days of Book 3 is my favorite MC. He's not *evil* but there's a definite "falling down" feel to him.
