Book 2 and 3 NG+ is not done yet and a lot of things are not set.
You will need to wait till book 2 NG+ is done to be able to play as it should be played.

That is what I am waiting on to play this great game again racking up another 20-30 playthroughs.

Book 2 NG+ mostly works even if none of the extra story content is in...it's fine-ish. Main thing I wanted was all my gems to carry through from Book 1 NG+ and they did. Will have to finish Book 2 and then into experimental Book 3 to fully assess the damage and whether it's worth staying on these beta branches for now. The full Book 2 NG+ will be a lot of fun for sure when it arrives but Book 3 NG+ could be really far away as I think Droid will work on a new game after Book 2 NG+ if I understood correctly.

By the time I get finish with this game I will have over a 1000 playthroughs.
20-30 for when book 2 NG+ comes out waiting for book 3 NG+ then I will really start playing again.

I just wish every time we finish a playthrough then start with NG+ that power will go up by 1 point each time till we get to 5 or even 6, then it will be fun times to be had.

i've tested setting the power to like 6, it gets WAY too easy, especially with ALL the high powered gems by the time you reach NG+!......almost turns it into a pretty straight up VN! ........(of course, if you're like me, you PREFER that......)

An update to this, the scenes with Xochi did end up triggering eventually though she is still missing from the library. With Matthew the game just forgets the conversation of being asked to go on the paths happened so you can ask him over and over again, always says yes but never does.

As I already said: several times...every time he says he'll join the paths but never does. The game just forgets the conversation happened and Matthew isn't available for the paths.

A couple more Book 2 NG+ bugs I found:

1) Toxic Shock research never became available after completing Merlin's Legacy.
2) The VCR quest cannot be completed because it is impossible to enter the Glade.

If you want to do a bit of testing on NG+ I'd totally recommend slipping into the Discord, where there's dedicated channels for it. Once I'm back on Book 2 NG+ I'll be starting on that list :)

Just trying to start Book 1.
Seems to load normally, then I get to a "desktop" screen where it asks me to put in a User Name and then nothing happens.
I can enter a name but after that, nothing happens....

You maybe to deep with the folders.
Take out the folder that has all the game files and folders and place it on your desktop and then double click on the exe and see what happens.
For me it runs as it should.

Were you able to confirm the name? If you can, then try clicking the 'Email' icon. That should advance the story.
