I am guessing that the patreon version is the one with more content as it's the one recently added??
I don't think it is the mac version though. As the steam version has a mac folder as well and runs in windows 10. As I said I don't really know what is up with the patreon version just that I couldn't get it to run. That and the size, file, and folder layout is different.That's a long-ass text just to say "Hey, the linked Windows Patreon version in OP is in fact the Mac version -- please fix!".
And yes, I can confirm that it is indeed the Mac version, not the Windows one, despite its file name (at least the GOFILE and PIXELDRAIN linked ones, I haven't tested the other links).

Well, it has been confirmed by at least three people now, that the version is definitely not the Windows version (as it only include files for Mac, not a single Windows executable). And as bllahbllub pointed out, the "Mac" version contains executable for Windows, so it's definitely a naming error. I will "report" this post to hopefully get the links in the OP fixed.

Not gonna lie, I went easy on the criticism for the first part, because I liked that they were actually really doing something different with a story more focused on the crime than the sex.
And while the story seemed a bit obtuse and illogical, I was definitely interested to see how it developed, but the final twist and the endings, that's just horse shit.
Like, Lexi flips completely unmotivated. MC would have helped her, at the point in the story they are, they could have found a solution. I mean, Max's parents are dead so no one would really threaten them anymore apart from Maxine herself and if she did, they could definitely find a way to overpower her. So why does Lexi flip, why does she not only want to kill Max, who is basically the only one responsible for her psychic torment? It just makes no sense, and then there's like no real ending among the three.
What happens in the ending where no one dies, does the MC get together with Ariane? Does he visit Max in prison? I mean, why the fuck would you end the story in such a shitty way?

I share the sentiment. I was also one of the few users who liked the first part, even tho things could've gone a lil better, but the second one was a complete disaster. It's like it was written by two different ppl, or the writer straight up trolled us with this nonsense, which doesn't sound so far-fetched if we consider the fact that the bitches tease the MC for being a dumb, useless detective, who doesn't know how to ask the right questions on many occasions, and instead of him being the one who solves the whole 'mystery' by investigating, spying on them and separating them to check if their stories are true or the usual lies, a complete stranger pops up out of the depths of the writer's ass and does her magic finally telling us the actual truth. Ridiculous. But at least we get sex scenes... in a story where every second counts and ppl can die if they (literally) screw around instead of looking for answers and holding the upper hand on the others.
Yeah, and the 'almighty', 'all-powerful' cult behind Maxine's sudden rise to fame and power is gone and reduced to being a bad joke. Nobody even pops up to check how things are going, or do their usual shady shit, like killing ppl and sacrificing virgins, or protecting their secret, nothing. But those idiots still wet their panties when they hear about a group of crazy idiots that probably doesn't even exist anymore. Great storytelling.

The only one justified to do this was Maxine, to protect her precious ass and her family's reputation, or the MC, coz I wouldn't blame him if he lost his tiny mind after all the shit he went through bcz of his 'friends' lies and deceptions, but our pissy princess had 0 zero reasons to do what she did, and Inceton can't say anything to prove us wrong.

i really loved the first ep and now when i saw it ended i was ah damn why they ended such a good game but with how yall posting im terrified to go for it
do you guys think i should just let go and think of this game as a abandon art or play and see why everybody hates the ending?

Our opinions are subjective most of the time, but I guess most of, if not all, the players, who played it till the end and saw all the 'endings', can agree that most of the stuff in part 2 didn't make sense, some of the things unfolded are plain stupid and the endings suck ass coz they don't give us any closure. For me, it felt like watching a really shitty low-budget thriller that started good, but ended horribly bad and left a lot of things unexplained.
The only advice I can give you is to play the game, if you liked the first part, and draw your own conclusions, but keep your expectations low coz Inceton shit the bed with this one and Passion on Display. These two games are the best examples of why quality always beats quantity, coz I'd rather play a well-written game that was finished (even after 4 or 5y after it was first released) with a few actual endings, good and bad, than having to play at least 2, where the development was rushed AF just cause the devs got bored of them and wanted to move on and also wanted to have more 'completed' games under their belt they could brag about, like SCAMcstor used to do a loooong ass time ago.

what really pissed me off is, no matter which of the three endings you choose there is no good ending ... In the first 2 everyone dies and in the 3rd you survive and so does Lexi.... WTF..... and to get the 3rd ending you let everyone die including your sister that you love, like how the hell does that even make sense, sort of brave for most of the game but becomes a heartless coward in the end.
In the scene where he pushes Lexi to escape makes no sense, would it not have made better sense to have overpowered her right there since he had to knock her to the side anyways to get by her and they even showed the scene of him pushing her.

Most of the things we've seen here don't make sense, so don't worry about the endings being a big disappointment. And Ariana is as big of a cunt as the other three are, no need to be upset about her being killed. Don't pick any option during the minigame at the beginning of this update, and just listen to what MC's dear sister says about her brother and how muuuch she really wants to help him out of the shit he fell into. If you pick Run and then go to the Left, she'll tell him some bullshit about how muuuch she hates the three cunts for making fun of her when she was fat, how depressed she was bcz of that, and how the cunt Lydia even wanted to sacrifice her to their alien gods for being a virgin. WTF ?? Why did you still come there with them, lil hoe ??
There's a whole lotta fucked up stuff in this story to process, but her suddenly betraying her brother and allying herself with the cunts she supposedly hates for making her life a living hell doesn't make sense, so either the writer screwed their characters up, intentionally or not, or they don't really want us to feel any sympathy toward those 3 bitches, which is at least one thing they did good.
The MC's a complete idiot who lets those whores lie to him and even get him in danger just cause he was too busy ogling and fucking them, but the most ridiculous part was when a completely random whore pops up out of nowhere and does some Sherlock Holmes magic revealing the whole actual truth, coz the MC again was too stupid to figure it out on his own, even when he had the upper hand on the bitches, and she heard from her daddy all she knows about the case and the catacombs. How and why her creepy daddy knew so much and didn't have the bright idea to leak everything he knew on the internet, where ppl lose their shit for the tiniest and most ridiculous 'insult' and crucify even the most popular, richest celebrities for that, if the cops were bribed by someone who wasn't even alive anymore, is beyond my humble mind's capability to comprehend shit.
We still don't know how and when the MC and Ariana started hooking up, we just see her using him as a human dildo and him sitting there like a good lil idiot enjoying the ride. It's probably why there was a rape tag added. We don't know what happens to Lucas' body or why the crazy whore went completely crazy and killed them all, why Maxine was so afraid anyone would kill them when her dad was long dead and no other cultist is even shown in the story. The story doesn't bother clearing up and explaining a lot of the shit that happened there, it just ends and leaves you to enjoy watching a bugged gallery as a 'reward' for finishing the game. Wonder what Inceton's patrons and fans on discord think about their last two games, coz I sure as hell would cancel my pledge if I was one of them.

I tried to mind map this and it seems to me author didn't map what he was doing with their characters in different routes all to well, which is partly why it's so convoluted at the end, when all of them converge at singular point. As for main criticism [MAJOR SPOILERS]:
1. I still have no idea what Max wanted, and given that the closest we get to answer is when she is cut-off by deus ginger machina, I don't know if writer does. She claims she created situations to get MC out of the house and follow her, but what for and why? To prove him "worthy"? In one of the routes she claims she doesn't believe any of the "rules" and used them for her own gain/entertainment... although she then hides behind them as justification for her actions in convo with MC after convergience point... when MC already knows it's bs...
2.We have not one, but up to four people trying to "expose" things, but neither Lexi or Ariana seem able to articulate what or whom they try to expose - Ariana's attempt at it is frankly pathetic, as from what I got she only sent the messages that kickstarted the plot and then was too busy humping MC to do any exposing whatsoever, while Lexi didn't even bother talking to her before planting the nudes on Max's tablet, and seemed content sending old man Joe on her own tail, sabotaging MC's leave and humping Lydia till whatever happens.
3. Lexi is mentally FUBAR: she's surprised to discover candle-lit catacombs, that according to Joe's daughter she already discovered with Lucas before and had chat with Max about; goes in and accidentaly gets Lucas killed, but 5 years later (now) blames "them" for killing him; within minutes goes from wanting to "expose" to killing everyone; and lastly possibly gets Joe killed by planting "revenge" letter in his bathroom, co-creating danger sense by sabotaging mc's car, shooting up the air and giving panicked Lydia gun, who thought him responsible for the car, notes and the gunshot.
Steelman version would be Lexi blamed girls for getting Lucas into crazy murder-hobo cult and after 5 years decided that them keeping her out of jail is not enough and they all, herself included, deserve punishment... but it was Ariana who got them together, and she apparently had no idea Lexi was on any warpath till the end. - What's ex-cop last word mean? (He said "note")
- Why does Lexi go crazy at the end? What's her revenge? She knew about the catacomb and Lucas died because she pushed him.

Finally played through the second part, got to say that the second part was lackluster for story. The whole Heraldine bit was quite pointless and didn't really fit in IMHO. Also way too many secrets within secrets attempts, making it seem like they were trying to be clever just a way too much, could have actually worked if they didn't leave so many things open and inconsistent, like others have pointed out in their comments.

OK, I've had a hard time staying interested in this one and it keeping my attention. After reading the posts above I'm gonna not waste anymore time on this and shitcan it. I came on here to see what the Ariana ending would be like only to find out it sucks?! To make matters worse Inceton released a poor attempt at a psycho thriller which by the time the M/C is begging for a better deal in the bathroom has gone nowhere. There was no tension built up with the M/C's annoyance with the girls. I only found him irritating and shallow. I kept thinking just shutup already and quit whining. I'm out...
