There's something that I don't understand. Can anyone explain it to me?

I've had a hard time staying interested in this one and it keeping my attention.

I feel you, bro'. I was so happy to finally play a promising Inceton game, but damn, did they disappoint me with this 2nd part. It's like it was written by two different ppl who didn't know themselves how things should unfold and which direction(s) the story should go. To me, it felt more like they got bored of and wanted to be done with it as quickly as possible so they can move on to their usual beta creep incest fuckfest and dumb slut simulators.

To make matters worse Inceton released a poor attempt at a psycho thriller which by the time the M/C is begging for a better deal in the bathroom has gone nowhere. There was no tension built up with the M/C's annoyance with the girls. I only found him irritating and shallow. I kept thinking just shutup already and quit whining.

Yeah, that's the general vibe it gives off. The game started out promising but quickly became a low-budget, cheap ass thriller written by some wannabe pros who were in it just for a quick cash grab. It's one thing to be disappointed by a newcomer, but in Inceton's case, it's a whole different conversation. They're among the oldest devs in the business and had received a lot of feedback, both positive and negative, over the years, so they should've done at least a lil better than this, and more so since the game doesn't have an actual good ending that should clarify everything and show us what happened after the MC leaves that damn cabin.

I'm so curious to know what their supporters and fans on Discord think of this half-assed story and the lesbian cringefest called Passion on Display coz I don't really believe there wasn't anyone disappointed by these two games.

• Why does Lexi go crazy at the end? What's her revenge? She knew about the catacomb and Lucas died because she pushed him.

Iirc Lexi mentions leaving note behind in the bathroom of that gas station, where that ex-cop worked. Also the reason why Lexi goes crazy is bit unclear, there's indication that she blames MC's sister for the relationship problems she had with Lucas, since she thought he cheated her with MC's sister. Which combined with other things she found out could make her blame rest of the group, since it's hinted that Lydia pushed for Lucas to choose MC's sister for that virgin sacrifice, which in turn prompted Lucas to try and save her by making it seem like they had sex, thus causing Lexi to think he cheated on her.

It got so aggravating and annoying I couldn't be bothered even finishing it with ctrl-skipping everything after the gunpoint threesome with Lydia and Lexi. Also, I actually don't agree about the general consensus about Lexi, I don't think she did a 180o... she was clearly already a fuckin mess by the time the story starts...

That said, it could've been handled better, the writing is indeed suuuuper clunky. And I guess no one really knows who dug up Lucas' body, so I suppose that's just one thing they forgot

Ah it's a shame, it was a very good idea, but the execution is just mediocre as fuck, which is the Inceton way I suppose.

What a ton of mixed feelings on this one ........... had so much potential and was a real "page turner" until Lydia kills the gas station guy. I felt like it went off the rails at that point, got too convoluted and just plain goofy. The ending is very unsatisifying as well - and left unanswered quesgtions that the player deserved answers to.

I'd agree that the following scenes were very emblematic for overall feel of the game - excessively vague dialogue dump that like fire avoids getting to the point. Like with many other already mentioned things, we never get the resolution what really happened and who was in cahoots with whom for what end: did Lexi cooperate with old guy in capturing the two girls? We'll never know

Can't say I'm an expert at this, unless we count video games too, but who the fuck thinks it's a good idea to threaten 5 ppl, one of which has a gun, with a damn shotgun, especially since the person in question is a weak woman ??Wouldn't it have been a better idea to bring two guns instead of that shotgun ??

Pumpshotgun actually makes sense, you don't have to be quite as accurate and rate of fire is pretty decent if you are familiar in handling it, especially in closed environment like that silly little catacomb was. Plus only one who really wanted to hurt others was Lexi and she only got the gun from her when she left. Also none of 5 people were in any way trained combatant, so someone getting the drop on them and taking one or two as a hostage would be enough for them to give up, especially if they were saying that they aren't looking to kill them. And how do you know she was weak, there's nothing to indicate that in the game, unless you are of the opinion that all women are weak. More like it seemed to me that she had had some training.

But aside from that, the whole bit of her appearing and then just leaving without doing pretty much anything was quite stupid in the story.

Personally, I think the pump action shotgun is the worst of choices in a situation like this. Up close with more than one prisoner she’s never getting more than one shot off. Everyone is so, so remarkably close together, especially at certain moments when there's no way she gets off more than one shot before being overwhelmed. Even worse is the moment I screenshot below. Their ginger captor is in FRONT of them with her back facing them. This moment was another moment when I knew the production staff knew nothing about dangerous situations.

Since they were forced down there the MC spent all his brain power and vision looking for the moment to rush her. Here, her back is turned to them, ginger is carrying the shotgun cross body, muzzle pointed down (like a pheasant hunter walking a corn field). If only MC chop blocked her, clipped her or anything similar ginger is going down like a house of cards and the ONLY person with any chance of getting shot is ginger herself. (Tragically, I’ve known of hunters getting injured the same way.) At this moment, the situation is nothing more than a joke, knowing MC could have ended it all, in a positive way, right there and then. It’s nothing to do with ginger’s strength, or potential lack thereof, it’s the rank stupidity of looking away from your prisoners in a closely confined cavern at close range to each other.

And the rifle's eye??? That phrase is goofy as "F" too. I suspose that maybe someone could call a scope an eye, but there's no scope, and I think this is the first time in world history that the business end of any firearm has been refered to as an eye. I mean, "staring down the barrel of ..." was right there. Or, staring into the "business end of a shotgun."

I'\m only speaking for me and my experience, I think everyone's opinion is cool. In fact I love "comparing notes" as it were. It's fun and other perspectives are quite interesting in my opinion. This is just my take on it.

Overall, as I think i said earlier, until the gas station guy got shot I was on the edge of my seat, the mystery had me and the sensual scenes were to my liking too. But after that, I thought it sank like the Titanic in large part because the charaters changed too drastically to "feel real" after 50-60% of the story already being told. Again, just my view.

On a different note, in the beginning the player is offered a choice as to what relationship she has with the MC. Personally, I entered “stepsis” but ex-girlfriend or even ex-wife would work as well. I sensed what was coming and personally didn’t want it to be with “my” sister.

PS. In fact, I think having MC chop block her at this moment and ending the silly ginger capture story thread, then forking to a different ending would have been a better choice than how the story did go from this point.

"Actually, to be completely transparent (and hype you all up, hopefully), we decided to redo the entire game. I personally got the job of overseeing (and writing) the "remake". At first, we only planned to fix SOME parts, but the more we went into it, the more we realized minor changes won't be enough. That's why we decided to change the core of the plot (personalities, motivations, relationships, their pasts, etc...) and rewrite whatever was needed so they match the new, hopefully more interesting and believable, characters. We're currently working on part 1 and plan on possibly completely rewriting part two depending on how we feel it will fit the "new" part 1. Some more examples would be removing a LOT of talking and exposition while adding more sex scenes and flirtier encounters. We hope these news will make you all excited for what's to come, 'cause the team and I are actually excited about all the changes and improvements we made"

Inceton have a coder ?? Where ?? Lol, that's real funny, coz it don't seem like their games have that many, or any, choices, to be more specific.

Thank fuck they finally figured that one out coz you don't need to be a Sherlock to see the amount of fuckups and ridiculous shit that were there, especially that 'ending'. What a big kick in the balls it was.

Not sure it's a good idea, coz all the 'talking' isn't that bad as long as it shows us stuff about the characters, their background, the build up between the MC and the LIs, the antagonist's motivation to do bad shit and so on, even as their usual funny banter it isn't bad, but like anything else, what's too much can become annoying, so I hope only the unnecessary stuff will be left out.

Not me personally or anyone else who expects a good story from them, coz to able to do that, they need to either hire a good writer and fire the old one or watch a lot of good movies for inspiration. After the complete fiascos that this game and Passion on Display were, I don't think it's a good idea to keep the old writer.
