Random would be nice, but I'm very glad it's not player choice. Takes away from the "out of control" feeling when I basically decide everything.
It is still there, but not in the evening.

I finally figured out why it wasn't going up, and it's quite the stupid reason. I forgot that i was on easy mode lol.

While I'm with you on the principal of this, I'd personally like an option to not have to deal with anyone's poop chute as a matter of preference.

And I'm with you here - excluding some acts by tag, settable by the player, is always a welcome option and not crazy-hard (for random events, not fixed story requirements) if planned early.
Though I feel we might be in a shrinking minority, wanting to exclude this particular opening from play.
Yet another thing I had to clue was possible in the game, what scene even is there?

out of curiosity, what is the ending like if you fight dark gazer without the memory engrams/amane's mom engram? i already finished the game with the good end so i cant watch that ending.

Apollion is the final enemy in the game -- it's possible that you've missed some content along the way, but I'm fairly certain there's nothing that's specifically after that. As for the Sex Titles, a full list with effects & unlock conditions is in this page of the spreadsheet:
