Oh i have a save which is just before i spoke to phoebe, i just thaught the phoebe-"work" - quest would bring some progress and possibly let me do things not possible until that point, as Melissa seems to be very insistent that i speak to phoebe so it must be important...
But no big deal though. i have a prior save and can still wait for the next build until i start this quest again. Happy Coding :D
It does, but there's a non-zero chance that something got left in that build that wasn't supposed to be left in because I'm trying to cram a bunch of work in so I have time to work on something else and get both things out before the end of the month. Sorry for any trouble. At least those interlude segments are short so there's not a lot of progress to lose.

Though to clarify, there is some content that opens up. Two new Holds and the Estate customization system are the big ones.

And thank you for the well-wishes. I kinda need it right now. @_@

How to do the hedgehog maze and find the girl in the attic
Assuming you mean the hedge maze on the right side of Griselda's mansion, there's not a lot to it. It opens up as a way to get behind the mansion after you go back to your guest house and sleep for the first time. If you're looking for the thing Bianca is telling you to do there, interact with the gargoyles - it's triggered by one of them.

The girl in the attic is located on the south end of the top-most level of Griselda's mansion, in the east-most cell. She isn't required to find, but one part of the story points her out to you, and you go up to where she is following that.
where are the northen hold writ?
You get it as part of the interlude, after finishing the story in the west forest. It's buried in the coded books left behind by the MC's parents and needs to be deciphered before you can use it.

Would it be possible for you to allow more than the current very small number of saves? It really sucks to make a mistake in ordering things and screw your self out of scenes.

I believe it's possible with scripts, but a quick googling doesn't show anything for VX Ace. I did find another solution, but I'm under a bit of crunch at the moment, so I'll have to look into that another time but it's something I should be able to do.

Otherwise what I do is keep extra saves in a different folder and rename them in case I need to back up to a certain point in the game to test something. Then I can rename them to an open slot and move it back to my game folder. I've got almost 30 saves floating around like that.

Can anyone help me with Trophy no 12? I'm assuming it is the summoning ritual but the instructions are very unclear and there is no feedback to show that anything is happening. Am I looking in the wrong place?

I think the blond haired priestess in the swamp is bugged. I completed her escort quest but now that I go to the village I can ask her for help again and she gives me dialogue on how my character has not yet proven him self.

Also how do I open the cells in the attic? I tried clicking on everything there. And Bianca is not being helpful as there is no option to talk to her about it.

There's definitely feedback, so if you're not getting any, it's probably because the Haunt isn't active. The ritual only works during that season. You can tell the Haunt is on by the water on the region maps being purple. If it's blue, the Haunt is off. There's no way to turn it on manually, but it is active again in the most recent update (available on both my and ).

Though let me know if the Haunt is active and you're still not getting anything. There shouldn't be any bugs there, but I want to do my due diligence.

Weird. To clarify, you completed all the side quests for Augalamh, went to her, she took you to the Ashlands, you got the Mother's Blessing, and her dialogue is now the same as it was before you completed all the side quests for Augalamh?

There are a couple ways to get the girl out of the attic. One way is to trick Beverly into it (talk to him out on the docks after you find her, but before you get his trophy), the other is an option during your final negotiations with Griselda. There'll be another way added sometime in Act 2 if you miss both of those.

Yes. I completed the cat quest and the others, than I complete her escort quest and got the blessing and when I come back to town there is an option in her dialogue that goes "Can I help" and I get the following:

Ah, I see. Apparently I'm just dumb and forgot to remove a conditional branch from that version of the dialogue tree. Fixed now. Thanks for calling this out!

The water is still Purple, can't notice any difference from when the characters called it purple. To give an idea about where I'm in the game: I got access to the holds, got trophy 11 and then came here before returning home as I don't want to miss the trophy. I know the next trophy (13) is after the freeze (I've played till the point where freeze ends, I'm replaying as I missed many things). So this should be the ideal time to get it.

It is possible I'm doing something wrong, but I've tried multiple things based on my understanding. Tried once while interacting with the hexagrams and once without, tried both clockwise and anti-clockwise, and many other combinations I could think of. So, it could be that instructions are too unclear (for me at least) or there is a bug.

Yeah, that all looks and sounds right. Thanks for clarifying!

You're definitely on the right track about when to get Trophy 12, progressing further in the story from where you are would turn the Haunt off and lock you out of it until the next Haunt. So, the feedback I mentioned is an audio cue when circles are activated, after which the circles are animated and glowing. The circles also change color for each stage. An animation plays every time a stage is cleared or if you make a mistake and break the ritual. Leaving the top of the tower or interacting with the altar will also reset the puzzle. Example below, the top row is active, the bottom row isn't.
Untitled.png

To get them to light up at all, you first need to read through the notes on the altar and choose "yes." After that, interacting with the individual circles activates them. If you're getting this far and the notes still aren't making sense, think of the directions as split into 'north' and 'south,' then into three (meaning "northeast" is the "right side of the north half," north is "center of north half," and "northwest" is "left side of north half"). When it mentions anti-spiral, it does mean counter-clockwise.

Any more than that and I feel like I'd just be telling you the solution (and I playtested through it a few times to make sure it all still works and couldn't find any bugs, just to be safe). If something still doesn't make sense, feel free to call it out and I'll look at updating it. It's intended to have slightly unusual language, but not be completely undecipherable.

This is probably the issue. I don't get a yes or no choice after reading the notes, it just closes. I loaded an earlier save, redid the fight and it still didn't show. After going through your explanation it seems like I understood the notes well enough, the trigger for the ritual is just missing. Not sure about the reason why, I don't remember a choice like that in my previous playthrough as well, which was on ver 0.7.1. Maybe because of the order in which I did things? Or maybe you need the pact ring which I returned to the old man?

Now I got you. I really needed to update things there sooner...

As mentioned in a response to Purple above, I'm dumb sometimes. The ritual isn't available until after you get Willow due to some scripting limitations. So there is a tiny amount of progress to be made before you get that yes/no option. I keep forgetting I built it that way, and that's why you aren't getting the option.

If you go back to your Estate, her thing should play out, and then you can go back and complete the ritual. Sorry for all the confusion. New text is there for the next build so this is clearer.
