Then you are playing the 'test' version, that is not complete. Either get the older one, linked below the main, or wait until Friday for the actual update... :winkytongue:

@RWaites has decided to leave because there is to much backbiting going on.
i have a problem, i can't open the game it say's "couldn't switch to requested monitor resolution". and i can't update my drivers i already tried uninstall and reinstalling my drivers, if anyone can help me i'll be thankful.

If you are playing the 0.8.3 test version most of the characters apart from Veronica are bugged probably better to wait until fixed version this Friday
I don't know if these will help but Here are some possible solutions:
- Reload the game.
-Change the graphics quality.
- Move the game to another location (preferably with write permission).
- Run as administrator (to force those permissions).
- Make sure your anti-virus software is not blocking it.
- Excluding the whole game folder and subfolders in your Antivirus
-Changing your monitor's resolution and the resolution in the drop down menu of the game to match.
Ex: If your monitor's resolution is 1920 x 1080, you should set the game's resolution to the same setting.
For everyone having the resolution error at startup, these steps might help:
1 Reinstalling your graphics drivers.
2 Disabling Full Screen Optimization:
2.1 Right click on Man of the house.exe and select properties.
2.2 Click on compatibility.
2.3 Disable fullscreen optimization.
2.4 Click apply and ok.

As a playable game v0.8.3TEST is crap, as a testbed for new stuff it works pretty good. Hint system keeps loosing track of what's going on (mainly Veronica's new scenes), but it's slowly growing on me with the on-screen icons instead of digging into the phone. I think for the first time I've actually encountered nearly every bug everyone else has encountered (previous versions people were calling bugs for stuff they simply weren't doing right), though the most annoying (until the beach->home transport bug) was the game locking up while peeking at Veronica in her room at 2300...seem to have gotten around it by doing other scenes and raising stats.

He was always very helpful on this page.
And on 1 hand in can understand perfectly why he decided that "enough is enough" ..
But on the other hand....99% of the people on this site are only in it for themselves and will say anything in order to get help/content or just to get attention in general, multiply that with horny feelings that some of those kids have and voila....
Sites like these are really not the place for logic and normal conversations, these days i'm flabbergasted when reading a page without a questions about saves, NTR or something that can easily found with the search function.
So i hope that we see RWaites back again, and just do what i do.

It takes a toll when you're trying to skim the troll posts to try and help people and I really appreciate and thank @RWaites for doing his utmost to help people through difficulties. Trying to stay positive is always the way to go but even then when you feel you're the only one doing that, it becomes a hapless role which should never have to happen but did. I do hope that those who have been helped by @RWaites do come out and show support. Same goes with @Faerin trying to go through all these posts trying to look for actual proper posts for bugs that haven't been picked up is such a time consuming role so thanks for putting up with us!
