To be able to Open the Gate, you have to have Activated the Hunt... see below from the Walkthrough

Hunt #6: Killer in the Shadows!

- Activate by talking to Owan, the bartender, after concluding his first ale quest.
- Activate the hunt (talk to O'ra or check a Hunters Board)
- Go to Lustone Mines and collect the key with the Mining Chief, Stanford.
- Go to Lustone Mines' basement. Throw the rocks at the stone statue.
- Proceed to the next room and defeat the Shadewatcher.
- in the Coffin a Note -

Ah, alright, I didn't know it was a hunt. I was just backtracking zones because I could lift the rocks now hahah. Thanks!

Having trouble in the prison after rescuing the the pirate Jane. What is the first code? I definitely suggest saving often and if the developer ever reads these possibly a way to read the history.

Head forward and meet Grace through the gates at the dungeon.
-You can now switch between two parties (Mark/Jane and Grace/Valerye/La'Yla)
-Unlock the Machine on Mark's wing with the password: Red Bird

Hate to bother you over this, but I'm having the same bug with the invisible guard. Any chance you could fix it when you get the chance?

№16 save only from it worked but you will have to reassemble the rest of the things had to replay the moment with the guard and getting the key. In general, play from 16 save there is no bug I resaved it.

Hi, just to verify. How do sidequests work if you cannot complete or trigger them in the chapter they first appear? Like, I'm currently at the end (night time) of Chapter 3 and don't have the necessary stats for Raphy's new sidequest. Can I push it to the next chapter and if so, does her next quest (if available) appear after completing the old one?

Sidequest take 2: Veronica) -Talk to Eric at his home. - Go to the boss room at Deeper Woods. -Fight the Mygonid -Go back to Eric -Talk to Veronica in the school (night) -Talk to Eric at this home again. -Collect the items needed (buy from Bedge, Earth Gem drops from Tunnel Rat and Earth Serpent – Mines) - Bring them to Eric -Talk to Veronica in the school (night) -Talk to Eric at this home a third time. -Craft the Viperstone Ring with Emily -Bring them to Eric -Talk to Veronica in the school (night)
I talked to Eric after the h-scene at night in the school, but it just completed the quest. No new options or task to continue it. Does it continue in the next chapter perhaps?

Thanks for the infos, I will be maxing the stats on a per chapter basis as it goes fairly fast with mom as a Lovemaster (y).
Do you also know if it is possible to get "Great Intimacy" for the first "branching" scene - without using the freebie to alter the scene - at night after you cleared the mines and talked with everyone? I think I have most love stats maxed for Mariah at intimacy level 2, gave her a couple of gifts to increase said stats and picked the (few) good dialogue choices with the chime sound afterwards.
