Where is the fence in day 1? Got the rope, clicked barrel, nothing happened.

Hi Guys ! I can't save my game, when I click to save my game, there is a noise, like a buzzer to tell me that it is impossible to save the game... Is that normal ? If anyone could have the save at the end of the Day 3 - Evening or the beginning of the Day 4 - Morning it would be nice !
You have to complete other stuff first like clicking on the fence of the house right of the guard at the door then go and take the barel. also you need your hero to say that its too high. I have another problem. How the hell do i use an item from my inventory to another. not connect them. Its for the remote and srewdriver...
