Does anyone know how to completely "reset" the game ?
I downloaded the game again, deleted the old folder, I wiped my old saves but CTRL now also skeeps seen text which I've seen in previous playthroughs. The saves I deleted were in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\Milfy City but that wasn't enough. Are there any files anywhere else cached or is there any game setting to completely reset it and make it so that the texts haven't been read already ? Thanks

Did you get rid of the persistent file? Have you "skip unseen text" accidentally activated in settings?

I'm not sure what the persistent file is and no, the Skip Unseen Text option is not checked.
Is that file in a specific location which memorizes previous playthroughs and if so, can I delete it?

It is in the save folder as well ... You said you swiped your saves, but you didn't mention if you got rid of the whole folder or just the save files in there.
Yes, it saves such things and you can delete it if you want.

Well, I did say that I downloaded the game again fresh and deleted the old game folder before un-archiving it so by doing that I also deleted the old persistent file. That's why I'm wondering if I'm missing something...

Delete the saved folder again (the game should not be running), in Appdata, and in game/save (you can delete the entire folder save completely). Then go to the Appdata folder and enter Milfy City in the search, and delete everything related to It there. If this does not help, then experiment with the game settings, since the problem should disappear after that.

" I downloaded the game again, deleted the old folder, I wiped my old saves "
3 steps here. Downloading the game alltogheter again. Deleting the whole game folder. Deleting the old saves from the APPDATA.
Sorry if I somehow caused confusion with that but yes, I did mention it from my initial post.
I can try again to wipe out the game folder completely. Wipe out the saves folder and un-zip the game like it would be the first time I'm playing it but I'm pretty sure I'll just end up with the same issue.
I guess I'll just keep my finger off CTRL to completely avoid skipping already seen text. Thanks again for replying!

I just deleted all the saves, started the game, and the game is not skipped on Ctrl. See your settings, they should look like this:

Also, after starting the game, make sure that the cells to save are empty, even the AutoSave slots.

What happens if you use the "Tab" key?
If I am not mistaken CTRL overwrites any settings in regards to skip unseen text y/n

These buttons have the same action, with only one difference. To skip dialogs using the Ctrl key, you need to hold it down, so you can stop skipping a dialog at any time by releasing it. The Tab key skips all dialogs with just one click. The settings in the game affect both buttons the same way. That is, if skipping text is disabled in the settings, the Tab/Ctrl key will also not skip it.
