You know with this bi-weekly thing he could very well launch 0.71b, then launch whatever is next 2 weeks from it and then not launch anything after and claim the patch will get a "small delay" proceeding to string ppl along for another year.

This is why we needed the abandoned tag, he finally moved his ass and make some route planning (who knows if he would deliver but they force him to comunnicate).
The more people that see the abandoned tag the more people would go ape into discord and patreon so he would move his ass X2, everyone wins and he starts to take more responsibility with people's money.

I have an educated guess about the "bi-weekly" updates he plans to do.
A bit of background: More than a year ago, he mentioned that he planned to release the next update as 0.7, the same way he did for all previous Milfy City updates (a "season" type of content release). Well, many months later we finally got some news, he announced is new project X or whatever and planned to release the final content of Milfy City in a single, large update that would complete the game, a "write-off update".
At the time that came as a surprise because everyone was expecting to already have an update by now. But people kept supporting him so that he could get this big update done.
Now, making a single, large update that finishes all the characters and effectively wrap up the game can take time and efforts. And i believe he may have seen that making people wait for a single update and then sign off THE project that made him successful in the first place was a bad move from a business standpoint. Once the game is finished, support will plummet because supporters effectively received the content they paid for. Many won't see a reason to continue paying him through Patreon.
But assuming he even made the content he claims he has been working on, he now sits on a mountain of "deliverable" content for Milfy City. That's maybe 12-18 months worth of work, since the last 0.6e update.
And instead of sending it off whole as he initially planned, it's completely possible to deliver this content in small slices (a "incremental" type of content release), over the course of several months, further stretching the immense financial support he already has. He can now satisfy the Patreon obligations to deliver contents and potentially retag the game as active.

I totally agree, he can't continue his "new project" without the mass funds created by patreon. This way he can continue to work on the "new project" and ooze out minimal updates of Milfy City, thus, keeping the cash flow moving.

Regardless of all the things that happened, I suggest that most of us should just shut up, stop whining and bitching about it. Most of us probably knew what happened to Kentaro Miura and his magnificent creations which makes me appreciate hiatus and the creator even more. Hell, we don't even know what ICSTOR is experiencing or suffering from rn and most of us are here just wanting a next chapter or for it to finish. Did this thought process even crossed your mind that a lot of his patreons doesn't even care if they are being ripped off or scammed? Most of them are not even here or on other forums whining. We all have our fun playing this game whether you payed for it or not but for me, I don't even care whether this game will be finished, updated or not cause believe it or not, I'm satisfied for what was given. I'm just hoping that he is doing fine.
Don't compare years of work, the reputation and such vs some fap game.

It's true. I stopped paying him over a year ago, it's the only option that makes any sense. But it seems I'm much more discerning with my money than his patreons. It isn't much but at least I took a financial action towards his shenanigans.
