Judging from the tone of the last update, the new one will only introduce a new monster girl that's a giant middle finger constantly screaming at you how much she hates you.
I have multiple good friends from when I was a comp sci major who have discussed this notion. The downside to even having the ability to code in some languages, is many aren't going to translate to a game such as this that utilizes 3D models/meches/etc. If you can code using say C#, you might be able to make some sort of games, especially if you're able to buy the assets, or rather can get away with minimalist GFX. The problem is, you can't really do that in a porn game unless you're using static 2D images, and even then you need someone skilled at that craft.
The biggest hurdle in getting together a team to compete with such projects is you need people that are able to code things to do as you want them to AND being able to create models/meshes/etc or other assets you need to do the game with. There's only so many people out there who can do so that will also make lewd/porn content with that skillset. But then again I look at the Koikatsu/Illusion community and wonder how true that is.
The key edge Redamz supposedly had was being able to do both. I could've sworn however there was some allegations at one point he was buying/modifying assets from elsewhere and he never created his shit from scratch. I'm pretty sure that was Redamz that was the guy who was accused of such things. Which would explain the appalling sudden halt in content. I may be wrong, but I thought that was the case very early on when he was first starting that was being tossed around then.
As to all the coomer who love this game so damn much... have none of you all ever even heard of Illusion-soft? Koikatsu would be right up your freaking alleys. Truth be told I forget this game existed about a day after I post on here (then come back a month+ later regarding different games). This game isn't even that mindblowing. I have more fun playing AIShoujo even. Also anyone who ever cared about yandare dev never played AA2.

What you need is a technical artist and a programmer so that you can shit out a reasonable amount of content and not stall like red does.
Can we stop with the notion of "Game hard. Many people need"? For fuck's sake, it's 2020, not 1990; we have established pipelines for this shit a long time ago.

Guy has worked on most stuff from scratch, the only thing I think I remember him borrowed models from were like rocks or some shit. Oh and update from veera scene guy is not even working on it anymore. He said he has animations done but not like dialogue.
The guy is skilled in multiple technical territories so I don’t think he would steal. the only help he gets from people I’m pretty sure is just music and Va, and guy has stolen like one track I’m pretty sure a Naruto theme is used in the beginning of game.
it’s sad that he is solo I remember a while back somebody said if he had a group he could literally have finished the game in 2018.

I'm sorry to say, because I like his project a lot, but even alone he probably would have done more than he actually did, see for example Bright Memory, developed by a single person and (from what little I tried it seemed really) a good game. Obviously his project wasn't on Patreon.
Personal opinion on MGI: I love both the visual style and the 3D models, I would like to see less woody animations and gameplay and I am a little sad that they almost immediately gave up on the implementation of VR (excluding sex scenes) in the game . After all, as I said I like it so much. In fact later I will try to create a mod or a version where this is possible. Write me privately if you are interested in this project...

Fair argument. Like I said, no concrete accusations here and honestly it doesn't really matter.
I'm just disappointed that the game he was making went from more H focused to more story focused as I was there for the H stuff. Sure you can flesh out the story but it shouldn't change what I came to the game for.
Plus unfulfilled promises to patrons numerous times doesn't help his graces looking from the outside so
I just don’t understand why there is just so little effort put into these builds sometimes like remember the drone scenes he could’ve easily added them in as h filler I already have an idea of another one.

I am at a point in the game(chapter 4) where I see a hooded/cloaked figure, and need to go to several different locations for (her?)

If you are playing for new lewd scenes, don't bother as there is none added.
