People hating on one format of the game vs the other..... its like having two variants of something you like to me. I can have the chocolate cake or custard and don't have to stick with just one? I can take the plot of MGQ and play the original VN format and a RPG version of it? Sure why not?

Fucking hell people. We already have the VN version many of us liked, I don't see what's so horrible. Don't play it then if you hate RPG maker? Or play a few other H-games maybe? There's like a few thousand on here and at least a few dozen worth playing at a minimum no matter your tastes. How does this reduce enjoyment of the VN version that people need to sperg? lol some people man.

Anyhow thanks for taking a stab at this. Read the thread a bit. Hope the move and new job goes smoothly. Looking forward to seeing this continue.

i love to play rpg maker games i played all two versions of this game the rpg and the vn version and i find it realy nice to see a combination of this

It wasnt directed at you. I wouldve specifically quoted you if I was calling you out, lol. A lot of people throughout this thread have been shitting on it, way too many to bother with specifically, and I don't get why. Its a good way to take another look at a game a lot of us enjoyed, but people want to sperg at this guy because they're mad about paradox I guess. Really dumb. They can make their own fan remakes/revamps themselves, lol.

Exactly what I did. I wasn't really pleased with part 3 of the vn, and got really sad when MGQ 3D remake ended up abandoned, so I did my own version, a very low budget, practically pirated, version, but a version I liked and I'm really glad so many people liked this version too.

Now the news. While Joe Biden surrenders 20 years of war to a group of cavemen hidden in mountains, paying billions of dollars in military equipment and gallons of American and Afghan allies blood (not his, of course), I successfully moved to my new home e vegan my new job. Things are a mess right now, but I got a lot of help from my family and friends and things are going smoothly. My PC is here and working, but with no internet yet and will probably stay like that for a month until I can afford it. But I have all I need to work on the game here off line, so I can keep working even without it.

when you say MGQ 3D you mean the real 3D think the name was hero or something one that there were only the slime and alice fight is so i kinda liked that game sad that it was abandoned i even paid for a copy for when ever it got finished because i really wanted a 3D MGQ game

I've just played through the entirety of this game, and had a pretty good time playing. I think I'm gonna list some things I think this game does strongly, and some constructive feedback on things that I think could be stronger. Starting off with the positives: I like that you add your own twists on things. One of my favorite things you did was forcing Luka to have to deal with other humans who disagreed with him-

- I feel like this really helps showcase that Luka was a Chaotic Good character, and that a lot of people disagreed with him directly. I like that the world has a lot of places to explore, and lots of quests to complete.

Finally I really love that there is a Light mode, I am not into vore, but some of the vore CG's can work really well simply with making it not a vore scenario. Really solid idea.

Moving onto some of the things that I think could use some reinforcing [Keep in mind, I'm not a game dev, and I am not sure how difficult some of this stuff is and I do not know the limitations RPGmaker has you under]: First things first, I believe that the combat is a little weak in regards to making the player want to lose- and example of how this can be corrected is in paradox- the last ditch temptation option. RPGmaker combat isn't sexy, the original was able to add CG's to certain moves, and overall does a better job at making the player think about losing in a fight. I think this game would also heavily benefit from some kind of combat replayer. The CG's for most monsters (excluding bosses you can only fight once) don't all unlock, but there isn't a quick option to refight them to unlock them. Luckily you CAN backtrack in this game, but its a little frustrating to have to go alllll the way back to fight a monster you want to unlock scenes for.


Overall, I had a fun time playing the game and I plan on following it for future updates. Keep up the good work!

First of all ,thanks for playing, it's always good to see people liking my work.

As for your criticisms, I've never played Paradox, so I'm not aware of most of its systems, I do agree that the combat isn't sexy at all, and doesn't encourage you to give up and see the scene. At the beginning of development, there were binding attacks like in the VN, but the only for it that I had came together with a lot of limitations. If I could make something like they did in Malice and Machine that would solves the problems, but that seems to be heavily scripted, and I was unable to open the game code on my rpg maker for some reason. At the end, I decided to scrap the idea and have more freedom to design battles.

As for a last resource of a monster girl trying to tempt Luka, it's possible, but after playing Succubus Covenant, which has such concept, I really didn't feel like including it here, and they do a much better job at tempting the player outside of the combat. I just don't think it mixes well with the JRPG combat. It may have worked in the half battlefuck of the VN, but here I don't think it would work.

As for the refights. I have the intention of including them, it just proved harder to do when items enter in the combat system. Simply refighting would make all the items used still be used when it ends. But I had an idea of how to make it possible Without it and will try it out before the next version.

I think all of this is pretty well done. I just get lost all the time because I forget what to do or with which button to open the map, haha.

I'm getting sick of all the RPG maker hate that is going on in this thread, and throughout these forums, this is a fun remake and I appreciate you sharing it with all of us. I wish you luck on finishing it, and I wish you the best.
I know right. I love RPG Maker games. The familiarity of the format and tiles has always been very comforting.

So far I have won all the combats, and I hope it continues like this until the end of the game. I don't see any possibility that I want to lose a combat. I don't know if there is a gallery to see the unlocked scenes, but I suppose that if there is, mine will be quite empty.

I'm quite liking the game, although not really because of the sex scenes, since except for the rewards, I haven't really seen any (I have skipped the Alice scenes, I think I remember pressing ENTER until they finished without seeing what happened or read a word about it)

Criticism for me should be like this:

"I think that the scenes with the mysterious guy are a little strange since he wasn't in the original. With how he is now he kind of feels like a Gary Sue who gets away with everything and makes the original cast seem weaker by comparison."
I don't really think he's a Gary Sue. He is strong, yes, but the rules of the world don't bend to make him shine. Espionage is his specialty, and the monster Lord castle isn't actually the most impenetrable in the world, but they don't actually expect men to infiltrate them. As for why, that autopsy is quite important, and gives a hint of what Ilias is doing, so it was worth an infiltration. But notice that he didn't try to fight Tamamo. Next version, Tamamo gonna tell Alice about it and he had two or three escape plan prepared, which is gonna get her really pissed. Also, when you find out who he actually is, you gonna see that it makes all sense for him to be able to do what he does. I also hate Mary Sues and their "I'm just awesome" moments. Being caught by Tamamo was actually a mistake, and Mary Sues never make mistakes.

Unfortunately, this isn't a feature included for now, there is a button to hide de UI and I found a way to include autotext which gonna be implemented in the next version.

I haven't tried your game yet because I keep hearing about the grind. I don't do games with a lot of grind anymore. I have trouble staying interested.

The other thing is RPGM. Most RPGM games are just trash and remind me of the old Gameboy Color games from when I was in my 20's. However I found recently that if a creator is willing to put in the effort the game can be great. One such gem I found was Monster Girl 1000. He also uses RPGM. I played through it and I really like what they did. Maybe you can talk to the creator of that game and get a few pointers on balance between grind and gameplay as well as maybe some tricks to make your game better.

Your game sounds interesting (I do like me some monster girls) and I will keep an eye on it and see what happens.

I quite like this one though, so I guess we'll have different tastes.

Also, the original game is already like Monster Girl 1000 and the developer wants to actually make it RPGM for that very reason. To tell the story in another way.

The truth is as the original game system doesn't appeal to me at all, and having this one, I haven't tried it.

To be honest I am a sucker for a good story so maybe that was what it was. I've been grinding out repetitive tasks in games since before there were even save games (I was playing ColecoVision and Atari 2600 when they were new) so maybe I'm just tired of redundancy in games. At any rate after your comment I may give this game a try after all. I just hope it is more sandbox and less grind fest.

I can't tell if the original is more sandbox or VN.

This is a pure RPGM with no VN.

I remember playing some Atari games at the end of the 80s. Although the only console I have had has been the NES from Nintendo.
