To be honest I am a sucker for a good story so maybe that was what it was. I've been grinding out repetitive tasks in games since before there were even save games (I was playing ColecoVision and Atari 2600 when they were new) so maybe I'm just tired of redundancy in games. At any rate after your comment I may give this game a try after all. I just hope it is more sandbox and less grind fest.
Grinding is a bad thing in a game, so I took that into consideration during development. This game discourages grinding since monster girls don't give money, and if you just don't run from battles, you will have enough exp to beat it. When I play, I never grind, and even so, I'm able to beat it quite easily. Of course, you still have to option to grind if you want to, but that won't give you much reward aside from exp, which isn't as linear as some games, after each level the requirements increase a lot, forcing you to go after the following parts of the game. There are also other systems to use that don't depend much on your level, like attack items and skills.

Anyway, just keep in mind I also don't like grinding, so I'd never require it on a game I make.

I'm very weird and I love spending time killing monsters.

I'm not sure how to progress with the Southern Sea Temple quest.

I currently have objective "Speak with Meia", but I think I missed the text that says where to look to find her.

Help?

Hello, I'm getting a bug on starting the game, it seems the VL gothic font is missing. After fixing that however, I get more bugs so I wonder what's going on. (I have tried to reinstal, which still doesn't fix it, sadly)

This is the first time I hear about it. Fonts are kept in the windows folder, so if there's a font missing, you need to install it there. The thing is, the game uses standard fonts of windows (in fact, if I'm not mistaken, the script used for the textboxes has three font options in case one is missing), so you shouldn't need to install anything. Can you post screenshots from the bugs?

Before I play this. Is there a definitive version? Like if I choose original version, will there be way less content? Or has the developer added the same amount of content for both?

I ask, because I remember somewhere on here, people saying the light version has alot more, quests, etc. And just more developer love in general.

Sorry for asking but has succubus village been reached yet? If not is there a vague estimate on when it might be available?

Original and Light versions only change the vore and death of the sex scenes. The game itself only takes into consideration the Light version... Because monster girls aren't dumb enough to kill their semen cows when they are in shortage. The original version has the sex scenes as they were in the VN, the Light Version removes the death, changing it to be taken as a sex slave, the vore scenes are changed to more like soft vore, and Luka is spat out after the scene and kept as a slave. Some vores I simply hadn't any inspiration to change the scene, so they will be absent, don't worry, each time a vore scene was removed, the monster girl still had at least one to play, except Alice's vore which I'm still not sure what to do with it, for now, it's removed from the light version.

Sorry, to be sincere, this year I had to move to another city, and begin a job that takes a lot of time, so the development of the game has slowed down a lot. Right now the goes until Gnome, I'm making Noah part, but Succubus Village is in Gran Gold part. I was taking a little more than a year to make each part, but with so little time to work, it will probably take two or three years before the Gold part is ready.

... However I found recently that if a creator is willing to put in the effort the game can be great. One such gem I found was Monster Girl 1000. He also uses RPGM. I played through it and I really like what they did. Maybe you can talk to the creator of that game and get a few pointers on balance between grind and gameplay as well as maybe some tricks to make your game better.
interesting.

I haven't played this game yet. but if it's anything like mgQ;P, then i'm going to like it.

personally. i don't see how regressing this game into a full on VN thats gameplay amounts to menus, dialogue options/choices, cutscenes, and battles, is in any way an improvement.
considering from my understanding, the point of this, was to add gameplay, depth, and to what was otherwise an outdated, fairly linear VN. which is exactly what the mgq developers did with mgQ;P.

from what i've played of mg1000. mgQ;paradox seems to offer everything mg1000 does (and to a greater extent. far more npcs, dialogue options, choices, branching quests, npc interaction, environmental interaction, because it has npcs, side content, scenes, optional scenes, etc).
but also offers gameplay aswell. and throughout my 100+ Hour playthrough, i don't remember having to grind. gaining levels by doing side content, exploring, and playing with all options offered in quests.
only downside in terms of gameplay is Random battles, which i really don't like. although, i was mostly 1 hitting them mid way through the game, so it didn't end up burning too much time.

now, from what i've seen. MG1000 does do alot of things i think all indie devs could take a page from.
but it being a fairly linear VN with quite alot of short optional scenes(about half the scenes in a town are nice short optional scenes. mostly for leveling up for the mandatory story ones, or bedding the girls who offered during quests. but as far through as i am. the game is 100% linear, with some skippable fat around the edges).

making every RPGM game have minimal to no gameplay is not one of them. the engine isn't even designed for that, and there are far better engines for those games.

i'm really confused as to what you mean, and this line makes it all the more confusing.

so i'll break down the ways i am able to interpret your reply. if it's one of the first 2, let me know, cause i'll have my answer.

1. original vs light. only differences are the vore scenes being replaced or removed.

2. light version is the definitive version with vastly more content. whereas the original version only contains the original content, with no additions. or isn't as up to date with content because it isn't the "considered" one.

3. I don't understand, please help me Developer-kun.

It's the same amount of content, just that vore/death scenes are replaced with scenes where the monster that defeated you doesn't eat/kill you.
By "Story only takes into account light version" I'd assume he means that original version would create plot holes since he's writing this from the perspective that most monsters wouldn't waste a perfectly good semen source by killing/eating, but since loss scenes are obviously not canon that'd be a very minute detail to begin with.

Huh, if that's so, then it's quite strange the game crashed due to the font missing, maybe I don't have any of the 3 fonts. ;s

In any case, the error looks like this: But0 with "Unable to find VL Gothic Font" 1638552440631.png

In other news, this is the next error that happens immediately after starting a new game. From the title screen. :(

Well, now I feel silly hahaha, I suppose I should ask for that to be added to the Installation guide?
