Funny, since a GTA player might know it as the eroge that nearly took second in 2013 over GTA V as Kotaku's Game of the Year.
Well that was upsetting to read about. Especially since I found a Kotaku article titled "Pranksters almost voted an erotic game as our readers' game of the year" in which the author goes on to shit on the game solely because it's an eroge.

I'd say MGQ at the peak of its craze when the VN trilogy was still being translated was probably about as popular as Black Souls is today. Even people who barely know what an eroge is have probably at least heard of it.

It's Kotaku. What else were you expecting?

I disagree, MGQ has a lot of memes and even a page on KnowYourMeme. While not everyone has played it, more than just h games players are aware of it.

If you like MGQ you will probably like 62Studio's games such as Lust Grimm and Lust Friend (You can play either first while understanding most of the lore).

Lust Grimm:

Lust Friend:

Those sound awesome! Ngl, I would love to have on of those for each h game played to display on my bookshelf. (y)
Thanks for these man.

One aspect that I failed to note that really allowed these games to keep not just my interest, but my genuine attention (lol), was the simple but central dynamic of its main characters and the slow development of their relationship that accompanied the 'save the world' plot (though, honestly, the romantic in me was feeling pretty parched throughout Paradox in this regard lol). If you (or anyone else) could point me towards a game with such incremental and satisfying changes of the main characters' dynamics, that would do a lot to alleviate the post-game-depression I'm feeling rn lol

also whoever said raipers are underwhelming are super wrong (i don't think i saw it being complained about here I think it was an azor x blog post). Alice is probably the best for raipers, she is surprisingly a high A tier if not S tier character just due to the fact she can get triple action with setup, and noble yoma + noble fencer abilities are down right insane. the only bad thing about raipers is that there aren't nearly enough skills with them (only three jobs have them and one is just a direct upgrade of the other + the other skills are locked exclusively behind yoma races)

Idk exactly how I feel after so many years. MGQ was my first h-game/VN and I just played it because of my curiosity, like what the fuck is that.
It ended in one of my best gaming experiences and Im so excited to be able to play Paradox in a month. I saw some ppl complaining about the game in the early stages (years ago), but now it looks like it will be great as fuck. I played a little of the demo here and stopped because the story events were so amazing to me that I would feel unbarable excited to the final release lol

also im learning japanese for a while, cause I know there are others great games too that I should play and contemplate. maybe I can help translate some in the future, as a hobby in my free time (looks like a chilling and good experience to me)

I suppose we will get more posts about machine translation as the release date gets closer, but what (if you are) translation software are you all going to use? Translator++? Or just go the hard way (and probably better in the long run) and learn kanji.

I know I complained about raipers here, but it was me saying rapier booster should boost ruling since ruling is tied to rapiers through the noble job and how the current final ruling jobs give rapier booster. Which amounts to me saying rapiers should be stronger for the sake of one niche build I have in mind. Its less a weapon buff and more a job buff and probably not what you are thinking of.

MGQ started the whole monster girl craze.

My pleasure. These are a couple of games that really touched my heart. Another one of my favorites just got an updated translation to a fanmod that I am going to play. It's called Cage of the Succubi(?), it's about a boi who gets kidnapped by a succubus to be her milking cow. While captive he gets to know the other girls in the mansion as he tries to find a way to escape.

Cage of the Succubi(?) mod with Kagura translation:

Oh... I see... Thank you for the announcement...

I...

I...

UOOOOOGGGGHHH!!! OH MY GOODDESS OF OPPAI AND SEEGGGGSSSSSS!!!!

Oh fuck I am actually shaking ahahaha, this is... I think I'm gonna cry. :KEK:

AAAAAAHHHH!!! I'M SO HAPPY!!!! I WAITED FOR SO LONG!!! LET'S FUCKING GOOOOOO!!!

I can't wait to find out the conclusion of this story, the epicness that will happen!

AND THE SEEEEEEEGGGSSSS WITH THESE LOVELY MONSTER GIRLS!!!!

---------------------------------------

As for the translation, I really do think employing the aid of AI would definitely make it even more faster, and then the GOAT translators will just have to adjust the lines here and there, proofread and such and it's ready to go, or maybe just divide some work with them and the new tech, or something like that.

Though it might still take some time due to the amount of text if we go by what Torotoro said regarding the content volume; I'm kinda dreading the amount of work they will have to do to get the last part translated though, can't imagine how much work it will take.

Still it is up to them, but yeah, I think having at least a little bit of help from the current technology wouldn't hurt... maybe. DX

In addition with the work the translators have already done, it shouldn't take too long if they also employ AI's aid, just some little bit of assist here and there. Maybe even get the untranslated parts from part 1-2 (if there still is) translated with such help, we'll see.

Employing that tech's help for the main story and important story sequences though... might be a little bit problematic, and seeing the reception of some people, and my own experience, might not be such a good idea.

Not sure how the current AI stuff compares with the classic commonly used stuff for MTLs, but perhaps it will be quite safe if used on the trivial or overly redundant stuff like any new Items or Skills... or maybe unimportant NPC dialogues...?

Not sure how they will go about it, but anyway I'll leave it up to them. Nevertheless I wish them well and lots of energy and drive to take on and complete a very daunting project .

Do you still keep the file saves which are after finishing the collab but not the recollection of the collab event? If you do, may I have it?
I've finished the event but lost the save files due to broken disk drive
Unfortunately, I have no saves that has finished the collab but not the recollection one
