i extract it in the same folder like the other ones
Try this. Delete the copy of ep 8.6 from that folder and reinstall it. Put the ep 7 end save and the ep 7 persistent file in C:/user/username/appdata/roaming/renpy/mybestfriendsdaugher folder. Then try to play it gain.

I want to restart an episode. Is there a way to reset the picture hints
Create a sve at the start of the episode you wish to redo than delete both the persistent files. There's one located in the "game/save" folder and another in C:\Users\*user name*\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\My best friends daughter
Reload the save and you should be good

Yes. Place the persistent file from the previous ep in both the ...ga,e/saves folder and in the ... user/username/appdata/roaming/renpy/mybestfriendsdaughter folder. Example if you want to replay ep 3 then do previous for ep 2. Then replay from end save for ep 2.

First let me start by saying the girls are absolutely scrumptious, and the artwork in general is very nice. I'm just getting super frustrated with the dialogue options.

At the very beginning I am on a plane and proceed to put my hands on the girl without being given any choice in the matter. Playing as either character didn't change that outcome either. I feel like it pretty much defeats the point of having dialogue choices if you are expected to take a very linear path of No, no and no, for basically every interaction.

Furthering my frustration would be dialogue choices that aren't intuitive or lack the context to make informed decisions, thanks to the seemingly arbitrary reactions from the girl. I remember getting pissed off at DMD for the same on-rails dialogue structure that had no opposing outcome beyond ending your game.

I don't pretend to know how hard it is to make a game like this, and I can see a lot of work goes into it, and I am grateful for the opportunity to be playing it. But it just strips the fun out of it when any small deviation you make is always the wrong choice, even though a lot of the time it seems harmless.

Speaking for myself here, but the early parts of this feel very laborious. It almost qualifies as sadistic to deny the MC so much fun for so long and similarly gate interactions with these beauties behind so much drivel. Not saying it's all drivel, but when you don't give the player any practical choices or context for those choices, it's hard to get any enjoyment out of it.

Anyway enough ranting. Thank you for sharing this and I will try to soldier on sometime.

If someone absolutely wants to share this before the public date, please give it at least a couple weeks.
Why giving 2 weeks when we can have it before ? Have you forgotten that we are on a filthy pirate place ?

100% Agreed, but giving the dev and the alpha testers a head start will:
1. Ensure the dev is able to afford to be able give us another episode next month
2. Give the dev and alpha testers some time to fix the nastier bugs. Less "hurr durr the game are broked. Stoopid dev!"

And the players and reviewers will have a more positive experience if the major bugs are sorted out before it hits F95. We download to play the game, not alpha test.
I played all leaked versions of this game and the few bugs weren't so annoying. I speak only for me, instead of you speaking for what it seems everybody. Are you in anybody's mind ?

But they don't have, for the majority of them. And if you read the reviews you'll find that it's not the possible bugs from the leaked versions that they are finding anoying, but mostly the poor mechanism, the lack of story and the inherant grind of this game.

I'm glad your bug experience wasn't that bad. And no, "I'm not in everyone's mind" - wouldn't wish that on me or everyone else. :) And yes, I'm generalising based on what I've seen in this thread. Well ok, based on most game threads where (game-breaking) bugs are found. It tends to turn into a vent-in-the-reviews and bash-the-dev festival.

Went and checked, and that is true in reviews. But you have to admit that getting stuck on a bug just after the game is leaked is bloody frustrating. Would you take the game off your watch list for that? You probably wouldn't, but there is a fair share that would.

Thanks for your message. I’ll try to answer as good as possible. When you meet a girl for the very first time - you must expect some kind of distance. I know that in some porn movies - people meet each other and 2 sec later they are fucking - come on - that’s not the real life. First you need to build up some relation - then some kind of love and less shyness - and then you’ll have some options. Dialogue options ! - maybe they could be better - but I guess that 99% of the players understand it. This is a game - not a novel - you need to take some decisions now and then - that’s the game part.
