Thanks for your message. I’ll try to answer as good as possible. When you meet a girl for the very first time - you must expect some kind of distance. I know that in some porn movies - people meet each other and 2 sec later they are fucking - come on - that’s not the real life. First you need to build up some relation - then some kind of love and less shyness - and then you’ll have some options. Dialogue options ! - maybe they could be better - but I guess that 99% of the players understand it. This is a game - not a novel - you need to take some decisions now and then - that’s the game part.
Firstly, thanks for being mature about my feedback.
That's a fair point about building rapport between characters. I'm not a complete stranger to this concept. I don't actually watch porn and was not trying to make an argument on the basis that it should work the same way. But I find the plot structure to be very unintuitive and with far too much redundant content.
For instance, you reach a point of progression where you're spooning virtually naked with Julia and yet the very next morning she ripps into you for putting your arm around her. Similarly, there is no backout option for scenes you have experienced before. Most games I've played either give you that option or expedite redundant dialogue advancing to the conclusion of the scene. Too many times did I watch the same scene playout in it's entirety for the 30th time when I was in fact trying to advance the plot. I don't see why it's necessary to repeat minor dialogue actions like hand on back after the player has already established that Julia is fine with it. like why even have the option to switch if the very next day you have to repeat it? I was half expecting the game to commit those things to memory.
I'm not trying to argue that building rapport is bad, but for me, the plot structure is so damn convoluted and chock-A-block full of mundane, repetitious and sometimes nonsensical progression dynamics that it feels like a chore. After reading through a good portion of this thread it would seem that I am not the only one struggling with this. I guess you should make of that what you will. But this is my honest feedback.
Maybe I should take some responsibility in my failure to understand it. I have tried a few times but ultimately resorted to downloading someone else's save file out of frustration- something that I've not done for any other game. I really wish this had a "I'm stuck" button that just advances the plot. Navigating through the hint system is just so painstaking for me.
Anyway, the character quality, body symmetry, artwork and clothing design get top marks from me. Probably the best I've seen in any game, And I've played a fair few.
Cheers, and here's to hoping progression becomes a little more streamlined.
