Went and checked, and that is true in reviews. But you have to admit that getting stuck on a bug just after the game is leaked is bloody frustrating. Would you take the game off your watch list for that? You probably wouldn't, but there is a fair share that would.
TBH i don't really look at reviews here, in general they are just salty people who bash games just because they don't like them/not their taste, better to play the game and make your own mind up.
If i relied on reviews for games/movies etc, i'd probably watch and play nothing, lol

I'm new to this site but I've played the game and love it.
In my opinion - at least you could rate the game - it looks like you're very active so it shouldn't be a problem to show that you like the game
Yeah your new and your first action within less than 5 minutes on F95 was to facepalm me, what an introduction...:ROFLMAO:
It seems you're the secound accoumpt of someone I may haved pissed (the dev perhaps ?)
I've never reviewed any game so I'm not doing it even if you'd have asked nicely and as you were a little mean (see the above sentence) there's no way I'll do that.
Anyway, welcome to F95...
... and farewell as GraceW leaved F95 just 10 minutes after registration.

Thanks for your message. I’ll try to answer as good as possible. When you meet a girl for the very first time - you must expect some kind of distance. I know that in some porn movies - people meet each other and 2 sec later they are fucking - come on - that’s not the real life. First you need to build up some relation - then some kind of love and less shyness - and then you’ll have some options. Dialogue options ! - maybe they could be better - but I guess that 99% of the players understand it. This is a game - not a novel - you need to take some decisions now and then - that’s the game part.
Firstly, thanks for being mature about my feedback.

That's a fair point about building rapport between characters. I'm not a complete stranger to this concept. I don't actually watch porn and was not trying to make an argument on the basis that it should work the same way. But I find the plot structure to be very unintuitive and with far too much redundant content.

For instance, you reach a point of progression where you're spooning virtually naked with Julia and yet the very next morning she ripps into you for putting your arm around her. Similarly, there is no backout option for scenes you have experienced before. Most games I've played either give you that option or expedite redundant dialogue advancing to the conclusion of the scene. Too many times did I watch the same scene playout in it's entirety for the 30th time when I was in fact trying to advance the plot. I don't see why it's necessary to repeat minor dialogue actions like hand on back after the player has already established that Julia is fine with it. like why even have the option to switch if the very next day you have to repeat it? I was half expecting the game to commit those things to memory.

I'm not trying to argue that building rapport is bad, but for me, the plot structure is so damn convoluted and chock-A-block full of mundane, repetitious and sometimes nonsensical progression dynamics that it feels like a chore. After reading through a good portion of this thread it would seem that I am not the only one struggling with this. I guess you should make of that what you will. But this is my honest feedback.

Maybe I should take some responsibility in my failure to understand it. I have tried a few times but ultimately resorted to downloading someone else's save file out of frustration- something that I've not done for any other game. I really wish this had a "I'm stuck" button that just advances the plot. Navigating through the hint system is just so painstaking for me.

Anyway, the character quality, body symmetry, artwork and clothing design get top marks from me. Probably the best I've seen in any game, And I've played a fair few.

Cheers, and here's to hoping progression becomes a little more streamlined.

I tend to scan the reviews once the game looks interesting - ignore the 1 and 5 star reviews, and from there the reviews start to become useful. There's just too many games to try, so have to be a little bit picky.

I went back a few pages and did not see/missed it, but, does anybody else have this problem?
When Anne lets MC watch her dance, the whole game just closes itself out/down. Is that all for that update or ?????

One thing you should take away from this game is it's not you that has the problem. The dev has their way of writing the VN, as is their right to do so, but it's counter to about 95% of the people on here. Saying it's niche is an understatement! It's a real shame, as the art and premise are good. Very few people have time for the repetitive, incoherent grind though and the dev seems determined to not let anyone play it any way other than the very, very specific way they want.

Bob is the first developer I’ve ever sponsored in Patreon, which surprised me, given there are much better games out there with better graphics and easier gameplay.

For me, ultimately it was his professionalism that was the tipping point: he’s stuck to his approach all the way back to the start of Room for Rent, he’s helpful and responsive (even here) takes in advice about how to make the game more playable and makes a good faith effort to incorporate it when it doesn’t compromise his game design, and he keeps his promises and meets his commitments.

Bob, the MC, is oddly charming to me and the girls are cute as hell, too, which didn’t hurt.

Still don`t know what people mean by grind in this game...
20min to finish a new episode, can`t hardly called grind, into my Eyes.
In fact i wished the game had dead ends, harder mini games, and overall more difficulty, but that might just be me.

Yes, I faced the same issue, that is the very moment where our lovely dev placed his "activate your copy"-templet. Check the spoiler on first page in this thread to get the correct way of clicking through the barrier.

Auf Seite 1 hier im Thread findest du den Spoiler mit der Klick-Reihenfolge, um deine Kopie zu aktivieren.

Initially it was quite hard at the beginning, before the hints system was added etc, was incredibly grindy and harder to trigger the bookmark events, but once you pick up some thing while playing, and start to recognize locations in the blurred images (hints) it is much easier. I find it a lot more enjoyable now than i did when the game first started.

There was also a major shift in the daily schedule. In the earlier releases events were hour specific, meaning if you missed the 10:00 event on the beach you couldn’t get it until the next day. Around release four he changed the schedule so events were available for blocks of time rather than one specific time. That made things quite a bit easier to find.

What even means until the next day? You can press "skip to the next Day" at any Hour/Point of the game.
So for me the puzzle aspect of the game is nothing like it was before, i would prefer the old concept without a second thought.

I mean when you come from RfR you expect to figure out patterns, like the 22:00 o`clock at the beach scene. (in MBFD)
Like understanding the thematic of the episode whats its all about.

Anyways in the old days, i was exited for the difficulty to hear all the complains made me smile ^^
You only needed a basic strategy in the old days, like using some notes from time to time, saving each Day individually keeping a track of the stats, now you don`t need that and won`t do that. In terms of difficulty we can`t get any more easy if you ask me.

It went from like 100 - 10 %

Thanks for your inputs. It's really hard to make everybody satisfied - or maybe - impossible. Some want it easy some want it to be very difficult.
The hints are optional so you can decide to use them or not. I could make the game with various levels - all from 'impossible' to 'novel' but doubt that this is enough and will cause significant increase of coding.
Concerning grind - the way I have build the game - it will cause some grind and significant grind if you don't follow the game roles. From day 1 of RFR many people complained that it was way too difficult. I made it difficult because I was sure that people found it too simple :). I'll try to work out some ideas how to make it more difficult for some players and more simple for others.

I think the game is a good balance of both right now (MBFD), like you said, you can turn off hints to make it harder if you want, but even with them the game still makes you think, you still have to work to figure out the bookmarks to a certain extent.

The problem lies with the story flow and the branching of the events from one to the next. What I have noticed that in MBFD and RFR is that at the beginning story flow progresses simply, but when more girls (branches) are added you can easily get lost switching between the branches in later chapters. Also there are times when you hit events (bookmarks) too early, which upsets story flow and may introduce grinding into that playthrough. Then there are those sneaky one-of or two-of events that happen at unexpected times that are the main cause of grinding.

The original hint system that was built into the game from the beginning was the conversations between the characters. But if you are not in the correct story flow, you easily get lost on what to do next as you don't get the next conversation hint.

It`s fine i only hope for the best for the game, i`m pretty sure we will see the day of RfR2 and a MBFD Sequel, maybe then you have the resources or better saying luxury to create a really difficult game that includes more of the old spirit.
Not that i`m that unhappy with the current version. Just saying.
