It is a third party patch that turns landlady and roommates into family members.
Ruins the game for anyone with a landlord/tenant fetish, but makes the characters involved family instead of people with a business arrangement, and helps the story make a little more sense for everyone else.

It's your first post so I assume you just don't know. This niche of the internet has quite a lot of incest fetishist, those for whom the usual stepmom/-sis you find all over the regular porn sites isn't enough. But since Patreon (the usual financing model for (amateur) porn games) doesn't allow full incest they write a kind of "landlady"/"roommate"/"tenant" relationship. And then there's "somehow" always an incest patch that's trivial (like on F95Zone) to find that turns that into full on incest.

When the dialogue contains "We can't do this, I'm your (roommate, landlady, childhood friend)," you know it is begging for a patch.

If I remember correctly, Killer7 initially considered this route, but later abandoned it because he felt that it would be completely out of character for the protagonist. And I am of a similar opinion.

I've been nice with everyone but there are some rude options too to choose. I guess player can shape up MC's character. didn't try those rude options though.
Also even though MC's nature is good he kept repeating that he will be bad to those who hurt his loved ones. Anyways it's the choice of developer.

I can well imagine that one of the thoughts that led to the cancellation of this route was also the following:
If this route continues, surely at some point people will expect such options to be possible with the others. This would sooner or later lead to rather toxic people become aware of this project and if you look in other threads is different than here not infrequently a rather nasty discussion culture emerged. This is not necessarily the fault of the developers, unless they deliberately target this clientele, but I prefer then but the discussion culture prevailing here. For example, Killer7 has managed to keep discussion and debate at a reasonable level for its My New projects, even with more controversial characters like John's sister Jessica (MNM).
As for Tanja: I, as an individual, probably would have ignored her after the retaliation. I take the position that one should not stoop to the level of such people and took the nice route. My concern with imitating her would have been that she would have then only felt confirmed in her own modus operandi and she might have gotten worse.
Yes, MC repeatedly says that he will be bad to those who are bad to those close to him. But I wonder: if Lucy says she is done with Tanja and the events from the past, why continue? Strictly speaking, it would be similar to what Elaine did. And that would bring us back to doing the wrong thing for the right reasons.

The irony about Tanja is that her mother was bullied just as Melissa and Lucy were.
Considering how other men in MNF behave, with the exception of the MC and his grandfather, it can be assumed that her father has to bear some part in how Tanja has turned out.
In the Tanja route, we learn that Tanja confessed to her parents how she behaved and he never misses an opportunity to remind her. Even though Tanja was anything but a saint, I think she was very much oriented towards her father in her development and I wouldn't be surprised if he bullied co-workers as well, albeit on a more subliminal level. If he was truly sorry for what his daughter did, he would have apologized to Lucy and Melissa personally. Since neither of them have commented so far, I assume that nothing of the sort happened and that he enjoyed the moral high ground towards his daughter.

No Tanja had a wonderful childhood. She tortured Lucy and Melissa because she could. She is pure evil. Her parents didn't do it to her.
The years she took every shred of joy from Lucy and Melissa and who knows who else should be paid back to her.
Had to break her mind just for her to see how wrong she was. All this retconning of the reason for her bullying is not right. She was evil with no excuse for her behavior...
Killler7 felt it wasn't the right way to go for the game, and that's fine (Tanja pet route, I mean).
However, I want to point out that some people prefer this as their type of relationship. The way it seemed to me, when playing through it (I had a save for each a while back), was that Tanja was happy in the role. So even if it was a moment of weakness, and spite, that started the MC on the path, after realizing it was something she enjoyed I saw no reason to be guilty about it. That kind of relationship can be a loving one too. So I guess I didn't quite feel the same about it being wrong for the MC - but of course, Killer7 would know more about that than I would, being his creator.
